- Here's a demo I found of Tilian Pearson singing on the track Exfoliator by Saosin.
For anyone who's curious or didn't know, Tilian is now the singer of Dance Gavin Dance and they're recording a new album together right now.

In the timeline where Tilian and Saosin paired up, Corona didn't happen.
Somewhere, somewhen someone rolled that dreaded 1 creating the timeline in which we are all living in currently.
I laugh so hard at people who talk shit on Tillian Pearson. He's a phenomenal vocalist with an excellent range, sounds exactly the same live as he does on album. Sucks so bad that Saosin never did anything with him, though we did get a couple great demos.
I think it's poetic Soasin dropped such a bomb then vanished
And he's a rapist now! And here I thought Rise Records would avoid the same fate as Victory.
Definitely, I agree a thousand percent. I've seen dgd like 5 times and Tilian sounds the same as the record. He's the most consistent vocalist in the genre.
I will always consider this song and the other Tilian demos as canon in the Saosin-verse

They should have let Tilian in the band while they still had the chance. I've heard three demos with him and they are all amazing, probably my favorite Saosin recordings next to Translating the Name. It's cool that Anthony is back and touring with them again, and it's great to see them play the old stuff.. but I have a feeling people are going to be disappointed with the new stuff they write with him. Not to mention his heart is in Circa, and Saosin is kind of like his side chick lol.
+Jamie Anderson , I don't know I think they made the right call. What I'm hearing is a better version of cove. While, I like dance gavin dance, tillian lacks something anthony green has that has given Anthony's projects longevity. That is lyricism, that is quite literary. Only a few bands in this genre have had that and they are all bands that popularized the genre (Dustin Kensrue of Thrice, Geoff Rickley of Thursday, Nathan Grey Boy Sets fire, Davey Havok AFI, Cedric Bixler At the drive in)
+Jamie Anderson I actually listen to saosin for their overall sound. The lyrics are always meaningful which I personally dig, but the way they weave the singer into the sound of the band has its own unique blend that I haven't seen out of many other bands. Just my take - but I'm a little biased. I do stand by my opinion that the band is a group of true musicians, though. Justin Shekoshi and Alex Rodriguez are really good at what they do and they don't get enough shine or credit

This lineup would have been the supreme one in my opninion. I think Anthony is a cool singer with a unique voice but this feels much more Saosin to me.

The original lineup recorded one EP. That was over 10 years ago. Since then the songs and sounds have transformed.
+Jonatan Ramhöj I actually agree I guarantee if they put out a record with anthony it would sound way to much like circa survive they actually played 2 new songs on tour recently with him and it sounded like circa survive. this sounds more progressive and fresh. I love circa survive btw I just don't think the 2 bands mix well.

Clearly you've never heard Tilian live. He doesn't use auto tune. He sounds exactly the same live as he does on record. Look up one of his live performances with Tides of Man or Dance Gavin Dance.

The demos with Emarosa were great. I would have liked to hear more but then i wouldn't have all these amazing DGD songs to listen to. The Saosin demos are good too but I think Emarosa would suited him better. Ultimately I'm glad he is in DGD

hmmm. as a long time saosin fan. Waiting since 2009. After the disappointing album that is in search of solid ground..... I think i might have given up all hope on saosin. They seem to be in disarray and its still the same thing 1 - 2 years ago. I love saosin. But i think right now theyre going no where. 1 song a year to keep us hyped and looking forward to the future aint enough. Especially with songs like this.

Good. I dig Pearson. However, I really enjoy the grit and feeling of urgency and anguish that Anthony (especially) and Cove bought to the table. I particularly enjoyed Translating The Name EP.

Good song, but I’m glad they held out for AG to come back - Tillian is Great in DGD and was better in TOM but his voice is just too thin and clean for Saosin. Even when he screams or gets gritty it doesn’t sound intimidating like AG or even Cove.
Hearing this demo - more than anything I miss Justin Shekowski being in Saosin. There was a huge hole in the new album where Justin should’ve been - I think it kept the new album from being legendary like the self-titled LP and first Saosin + AG EP.
Justins work was on the new album, they completed instrumentals long before he got kicked out

People really need to stop bitching about how the band will suck with so-and-so as the singer, music changes as time goes on. I can think of many singers who would fit perfectly as Saosin's new singer: Jesse Cash of ERRA, Charles Furney of Secret and Whisper, or Kurtis Lloyd of Kitsune
And the lines with "find out" I hear "For..get" and "gallows" I hear as "goal"

Definitely this is a great song whoever the singer is, but what a pity this is their last song though, cause they are no longer a band, i search on their official website but unfortunately it's closed, that's way there's no official announcement told that saosin died, no longer saosin until my friend from california told me that tis fact is true, so for saosin's fans,,,,,,,,,,it's this song is actually such a painful existence, we got disappointed, DEFINITELY!!
