I’ve done a lot of research and finally pulled the trigger on the Govee Pros. The biggest reasons I picked Govee was the 200’ length, the ability to cut them, and the integration with Govee’s other outdoor products.
@ yeah, I have a small 1 story ranch and only need a 6’ ladder to hang the lights. I’m not sure I’ll be able to go all the way around the house with them because of a carport and covered back patio that jut out a bit, but I will definitely be able to go around 3 sides of the house. I’m also on a corner lot so it’ll be easily visible from 3 sides. My lights should arrive tomorrow, so if the weather holds here in central Florida I may be able to get at least part of them up on Sunday. I can’t wait!
I installed the Govee 2’s (not featured), and am SUPER happy! I’ve had people stop at my house asking about them. No more ladders for this man, LOL! So cool!
I installed the Eufy E22 and was very happy with the install and I am getting more used to the app. I felt for the price and features I wanted, it was the best option.
I'm installing Govee Pro's tomorrow. Selling point for me was that the wire is cuttable by design. I also like that the permanent lights will synchronize with my Govee Curtain Lights and my Govee string lights. The app can be a bit overwhelming but once you find things it's ok.
I highly recommend getting brackets. Throw climate out the window for a moment, I had several lights “land” on what I call an upside down bevel or upside down V channel I guess you’d call it, on certain pieces of the soffit where two pieces “meet” and there was just not enough surface area for the tape to hold it even long enough for me to get a screw in the bracket let alone trying that with no bracket. Not every home has that setup but I bet a lot do.
Can you advise about how many sets can you add per box? Example...the govee's max are whats in the box..you cannot add more strands than the box you bought...are Eufys ljke that also? Or can u buy a 100 and 50 and connecr to same power supply?...thank you
i believe there all extendable up to 100ft. the difference is govee goes up to 200ft but requires the included booster. The lumary will do 158 linear ft off the supplied box and i'm unsure if you can add on. great question. hopefully others chime in. Govee can be linked via bluetooth from controller to controller. so if you want 2 200ft packs you can do that but the controllers need to be within 10 to 20ft of eachother to run bluetooth off each other.
Eufy e22 permanent outdoor lights are available in a 150ft bundled pack which includes the 100ft box plus a 50ft ext set. That's the max per power supply. However, you can connect multiple sets and other eufy lights and products like security cameras via their wonderlink system where they can work seamlessly as one unit. As a big plus and the reason I went with eufy is when linked with eufy's cameras, the lights can be set to react by offering a welcoming ambience for your arriving guests or even flash warning colors to deter intruders.
I have 220 linear feet to run the Govee lights. I know the pro can be cut but can i start with 150ft set and connect end to end another 100 ft set and cut off the excess?
From my understanding you'll need two sets. You can pair them via blue tooth. One controller cannot exceed two hundred feet and also important to remember you'll need the booster after the fifth or sixth strand. Hope that helps
Great video, Pest and Lawn Ginja. Looking forward to seeing your next upload! I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the amazing work. Your comparison of the lighting options was really insightful! How do you think the advancements in LED technology will influence the design and functionality of outdoor lighting systems in the future?
Thank you! It's driving prices way down and allowing for remote control use. I've been playing with some new landscape spot and flood lighting and it's pretty cool. I've never been a fan of the solar lighting and the new plug in options are affordable and function at 80% or higher compared to the commercial grade options
I just find it hard to trust the sticky part of the light. I've seen one where it clips into a bracket, then you can screw bracket in. That seems like the best way to go. Thanks for this vid!
I installed the Eufy E22 yesterday. Each light has a little screw hole (screws included) that I used to affix the lights to the soffits (the sticky part didn't always stick in my case). In my opinion, this tiny little feature is a game-changer.
I keep debating, but I worry about the longevity. Longevity with the LEDs themselves, but also the install. Will they fall down or do you have to screw them all in? When it comes to the LEDs, if one fails, then what? Can they be replaced or is the whole strand basically done?
Great questions. Some of these answers will depend on your climate. If you install the led,s per the recommendations of the instructions I've seen little to no issues with the 3m tape falling off. If you screw in every 3rd light it'll really help for the long run. If one led goes bad you can replace just that run / strand.
The Govee app is crazy good when adding all the additional style lights. Govee you can sync everything and that is so easy to do. I still like your Jellyfish tho ❤

Love hearing about it. great to see others enjoying the lights as much as I do!
I just had my Govee 2's installed today!!

@RobertLacher love the feedback. Thanks!
Thanks for all the hard work in the comparison of the lights! Deserves a like and subscribe in my book!

@@JimFranzRT great feedback. Thanks for sharing
How do you like them? Would you be comfortable sharing what it looks like?
Eufy is a great Christmas light for me!!
How are the Jellyfish lights going for you? I know it’s been a few years.
I’m assuming they still blow all the DIY options?
End of the video is go over just that 😄
Light hardware illuminates better but the software from the others is better in my opinion
How long do we realistically expect these to last?
Awesome review they look pretty good and not a bad price , Merry Christmas

@@enzomoya1689 brackets are necessary in most climates

Just to be clear, 6000k is not a brightness scale it is a color scale of white light.
True true 👍
Bring back Disco and Studio 54 😂
Oh it's coming back alright
I'm really shocked at these results
Me too
I have Govee.....but the app isn't super easy to operate in my opinion
Great feedback. Thanks for sharing
I agree. I think the government app is so hard to figure out. They need a complete overhaul.
Color temp is not brightness.
So true 👍
First.
My man 💪
Nice
who the hell hung that Vinyl Siding? BUUUHH you need a refund!
Lol 😆 not my home 🙃
