From his earliest recordings with Roxy Music at the beginning of the 1970s, Bryan Ferry has taken his place as one of the most iconic and innovative musicians and songwriters to emerge in popular music. Ferry's "Olympia" tour travelled the world in 2011, including this spectacular performance filmed on July 25 at the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Lyon, France as part of the Nuits de Fourviere Festival. The show features tracks from across Ferry's 40 year career including classic Roxy Music songs, solo hits and his renowned interpretations of other writer's material all delivered with the style and panache that is uniquely Bryan Ferry.

Amazing lineup in this band, every one of these songs from the concert is a gem. I just realised now how the opening keyboards are a homage to “true to life” a Roxy music masterpiece

the whole show is out on Blu-ray, one of my most treasured possessions by the best band he's ever toured with. great soundtrack in hi res audio.

they took lots of breaks. I think they only danced for maybe half the songs,,,still lots of energy expended. this was in 2011...I know Jade still dances and I think Marie does too

stage left (short hair) is Marie Francis. the sassy long-haired dancer is Jade Lorna (believe she was Jade Sullivan when this was filmed back in 2011). both still gorgeous.

Jorja Chalmers. She is actually the saxophonist in the band but helps out on keyboards. Check out some of the other tracks from this concert, particularly Like a Hurricane, for her sax playing - she's one of the best in the business

I don't like this performance. It's not nearly as funky as the album version, or the way it was done on the Strictly Come Dancing tv show. The drumming in this version is too busy or aggressive or something. The whole thing sounds rushed - which destroys the cool, laid-back funk, imo. And everybody (including Bryan) is acting sort of flippant (or otherwise weird) in this.
