Zack, I have to agree that most "modern" 6 cylinder cars aren't that noteworthy, even my E46 330, but I have 225,000 in a driver car and it always works. The first car that really caught my ear was in 1959. A neighbor had a Jag Mk.II sedan and had to stop in front of my house to turn up the little country road to her house. Her accelerating up that little road and winding it up through the first three gears was a symphony like none I had ever heard. I haven't heard any six, other than the XK Jag, since then that a sound like that. I've asked a number of Jag mechanics since then and none of them really knew what was so unique about that exhaust system. I had an XJ6 for about ten years and it was beautiful.

Love the car, really interesting to learn about the modifications to further enhance an already great M car. I drove a stock Coupe once and thought that it was fantastic. As an SLK 55 owner I still would love one if these (as well).

Zack, if you haven’t upgraded your suspension on your E46 M3, DO IT! It will transform your M3 from a good handling car, to a car that is on Porsche level handling!! this from factory.
That car looks fun
This is where Ryan from The Office ended up...
This guy reminds me of Bill Paxton lmao. Awesome car!
Never been in a z4m, but the 986 Boxster S chassis is incredible and more comparable to that of an s2000 than a heavy z4m.
the weight is the same zeperfs.com/it/duel1538-1041.htm
the comparison to the M, for a 686, is not exactly acceptable.
lol they said the exhaust being quiet was a lie, but the drive-bys are all intake noise.
Not sure if Hutch is 23 or 43..
Can you tell me about the wheels? Manufacturer and size? Thank you!
Z3M Euro and 01'/02' 321/325HP vs Boxster S 986 250HP
Z4M 330HP vs Boxster S and '07 987 280HP/295HP
I really wish they'd put the S58B30 with 510HP in the new Z4 and Supra so that BMW can have the Old School Front Engine Roadsters with Powerful Straight Sixes again. They can't fight the Boxster/Cayman in handling head on.
True. The new Boxster/Cayman are incredible to drive.ZK
Hi there,
Congrats such a beauty that Blue Z4!!!!………….anybody knows where to get those two covers on both sides of the top is down……..so much more elegant….any tips?
Hoping to talk to Hutch, to see who he sold this car to on BAT. I really want to buy it
I have a 1998 Z3 M Roadster. Personally I think it looks better and the interior is much nicer.
Is he the car salesman from true lies?
"I got a tiny dick, man, it's pathetic."
my z3 3.0i has a 2.5in pipe straight from home depot and it sounds like a banshee from hell.
I have the ESS supercharger on mine, and I would never let you drive it on those roads.
i thought the roadster had an electric steering rack and the coupe was hydraulic?
Where did you get the numbers that the coupe is twice as stiff as the roadster? I done theeen sooo!
