As Thai people , it too sad to grow up enough to see decline of western media. I grown up from watching many amazing Western media like cartoonnetwork , Disney animation, Hollywood movies . Back to the future, mib, doctor who , dc comic, marvel universe, etc i love all of it.
I don't want any stupid representation to my race. They never truly understand us anyway, what they done just used asian stereotypes as writing material and wish us will definitely love it.
I watch western media because I love what you are and want to learn from your culture.

This is a great take, and as a western person, I've really enjoyed Thai horror movies lately, there are a few good older ones. What Holywood seems to not understand is that every country has their own film industry, and they represent nearly nothing BUT that people.
If you go to India, you will see 90% Indian people in their movies, Thailand, 90% Thai, Japan, 90% Japanese, China, 90% Chinese, Kenya, 90% Kenyans.
It's okay when you have a great character lined up! Look at Blade, every 90s kid loves Blade, we love Morpheus, Whoopi Goldberg was huge in sister act in my country, we have famous Asian actors of old like Bruce Lee, Sony Chiba, Jet Lee, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Fan Bingbing, everyone was "represented" and their characters happened organically.
What we DON'T want is Black Superman, or Spanish Blade or Female Thor or whatever other stupid thing they come up with.

Add to that that western media often follow the logic that whites, black, asians, latina etc are homogenous groups. By their logic if a movie is based on chinese culture then all asians should feel represented. Or they will make something based only on Mexico and claim that it's for all Latina. While blacks should feel represented by black americans. Then eastern europeans/balkas/baltics should not ask for any representation because there are... French/British/Irish/Scandinavian based movies or games. Like sorry, but ppl might belong to the same race, but also belong to more or less different cultures with different histories, experiences and friendly/hostile relationship.

      3. With all the different sizes of people in-universe, it makes little sense that there AREN’T any officers Judy’s size already simply because there are suspects that would need to be pursued of that size. The movie addressed none of that.

Now they simply just “buy” their competition whenever they feel like it. Someone once said *”without criticism or pressure from others, there can be no improvement.”* And that really is true, Disney has become lazy and comfortable with themselves and everyone sees it. This isnt unique to Disney. This is textbook corporate culture. People who do nothing but get busniess degrees straight to management and then continue to work up the corporate ladder. These people have no idea how their ideas and mandates for a busniess affect the downline or workers. And they normally leave the company before the full effects kick in.
Ive been at my job for 6 years now, and weve been through 2 C.E.O's and countless managers/supervisors. Every one of them thought they had the best, freshest ideas that would move the company forward. All didnt work, all of them are gone. But in their resumes, theyll tout about all the money they saved they last company they work for.
These people live in a bubble and cannot fathom how life is for the rest of us.

ZERO companies have even given me a shot for any type of management or leadership position.
Maybe I should put some bullshit onto my resume instead of not writing out the basics of the job itself. Because saving a business money, increasing their profits... these are kind of the job description.....
One of the things I learned before getting my degree. 80% of people lie on their Resume or Application.

It has nothing to do with corporate culture and everything to do with ideological subversion.
Reverse psychology is a technique involving the assertion of a belief or behavior that is opposite to the one desired, with the expectation that this approach will encourage the subject of the persuasion to do what is actually desired.
Hegelian dialectic is an interpretive method used to relate specific entities or events to the absolute idea. It is a framework for guiding our thoughts and actions into conflicts that lead us to a predetermined solution. (Problem, Reaction, Solution)
A Controlled Opposition is a protest movement that is actually being led by government agents. Nearly all governments in history have employed this technique to trick and subdue their adversaries, notably Vladimir Lenin who said, "The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves."
Just to be very clear upfront, a lot of these Liberals in the entertainment industry are being used to promote Marxist ideologies, creating a potential Communism problem. The way they are going about this has caused people to react negatively towards that ideology (wokeness, THE MESSAGE), which will in turn push them to go the intended direction of Conservative ideologies.
      Problem:
Step one of the Four steps for ideological subversion (Yuri Bezmenov, 1985)
Demoralization - this is a process which can take about 15-30 years to perform (a generation). *During this stage, the moral fibre and integrity of the country is put into question, thereby creating doubt in the minds of the people. To do so, manipulation of the media and academia is required to influence young people.* As the younger generation embraces new values, such as Marxism and Leninism, the older generation slowly loses control simply through attrition. *Again, true facts no longer matter during this stage, but rather creating perceptions are of paramount importance.*
---Like calling anyone who won't see your movie a "racist, bigot, homophobe, sexist", etc. Or calling riots where businesses were destroyed and people killed "mostly peaceful protests" while people calmly walking through the White House with government workers being called an "insurrection".
      Communism and Religion
Abolished - all religious and metaphysics is rejected. Engels and Lenin agreed that religion was a drug or “spiritual booze” and must be combated. *To them, atheism put into practice meant a “forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions.”*
Eliminating American exceptionalism, *fundamental change of national identity, structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Embedding a new societal design upon the psyche of generations through ideological academia, peer pressure by elites upon academics and society to convince that prior values were inherently flawed, racist, prejudiced etc.* National identity is diluted with aspersions toward historical references. National History is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values.
---Established IP like Star Wars, Marvel, Indiana Jones, The Little Mermaid, The Lord of the Rings (and so on) are a part of our social, national and (in for millions of people) personal history. We see them being re-written, re-defined and molded to fit Marxist ideologies. And as we all know, it is not accepted by the majority of people.
Reaction: We need to remove Liberals from positions of power, authority and influence so we can turn things back to the way they were before all of the politically correct nonsense destroys everything we love. We need a leader, laws and regulations which will "drain the swamp" and save us from all the Liberal policies destroying the US/West.
      Solution:
So the pendulum swings, now violently, now slowly; and every institution not only carries within it the seeds of its own dissolution, but prepares the way for its most hated rival.
      William Ralph Inge
"Democracy and the Future" The Atlantic Monthly (March 1922)
To fight against the atheistic, Liberal Marxist institution people will gravitate towards Religious Conservative Fascism, the most hated rivals of an atheistic Liberal Marxist.
What is the “7 Mountains Mandate” (Dominionism/Dominion Theology)? Supposedly there are 7 “mountains” of global society-Arts and Entertainment, Education, Economy, Family, Government and Military, Media and Religion. (Note: The US voting machines are called “Dominion”.) According to this false teaching, by conquering these 7 “mountains”, the Kingdom of God will be established.

It's painfully amateur because I remember literally 2 years ago being taught film and media in college and we had to basically make a short film but act like it was a feature as practice and even the college understood the importance of appealing to your intended audience. Marvel however are oddly doing the opposite and saying F you, we know our audience better than they do.
I literally had a make a profile of what type of person i would assume to see my film so for example if it's a family film, it would have to make sure the people buying the ticket are parents who have ALOT of spent time working and caring for their kids so you gotta make sure your movie doesn't come across "a waste of time" but also the obvious things like family friendly aspects. And then if my film was a superhero film even my college understood you should try to appeal more to male audiences. Even if women watch it, the few women that watch it are themselves much more use to the Hollywood way of appealing to males but don't care because they enjoy it. You try appeal to them too much, those women who enjoyed the male appealed movies will notice themselves and be turned off coz it comes across pandering not natural. It's just funny because it was 2 years ago when this moderm marketing was going on yet even the left leaning college i was part of even understood the importance of not attacking your audience lmao

The Closer Look does a fantastic review of the sequel starwars trilogy and one of the biggest reasons he gives for why they did so badly was because they "weren't believable." Not in the sense that they were unrealistic...I mean come on its a futuristic space opera. More so that the viewer "believe" that the events are possible within its universe. The best example I can name is also one of my personal most hated moments in the sequel trilogy...the Holdo Maneuver. She spends the whole movie being a very insufferable character and denying Poe's ideas, essentially pushing him mutiny because her plans were getting people killed. Then she suddenly pulls this "heroic" moment when not a single scene indicated she had strength or fortitude to follow through. Then theres the maneuver itself which opens so many plot holes and contrivances, you could fly the Death Star through those holes.

That’s not progress. What I can relate to is characters who have to overcome something difficult, and the one thing both of those stereotypes have in common is neither do-the women in film just can immediately do everything and the men never do anything themselves. Restraint goes a long way to portraying a strong character in a relatable way, not someone who has to prove a point. Great choice to include those, Alteori.

Barbie - The film has grossed $1.446 billion globally. ( 66.2% of audience is female)
The Marvels - The film has grossed $206.1 globally. (65% of audience is male)
Perhaps they should think about why woman in general didn't go to see The Marvels.

    • @raeldri5867
      @raeldri5867 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Maybe just maybe because there are more males into comic books and the reason marvel got so popular with both is because almost all of males wouldn't shut up about how good the movies were, so when they try to push the mentality "this movie is not for you white male" not only they lost the base customer but word of mouth publicity

Well Barbie for all its flaws was based on something I played with as a kid. I have no personal connection to Captain Marvel and the Captain Marvel movie did nothing to instill in me an attachment to the character of any kind. Ergo when I heard the sequel was coming I had no reason to see it. It’s likely that if I had a pre-existing attachment to the franchise I would have shown up for it like I did for Barbie if only out of morbid curiosity. But what’s the point of watching something that in all likelihood is going to be bad without the masochism of nostalgia or sunk cost fallacy convincing me to hurt myself with it?

Disney started shipping in cheaper labor in the form of indentured servitude and hiring people based off check boxes than ability. They chased the lowest and cheapest product while pocketing most of budget. They are shocked the name of the brand isn't covering. The entire DEI to them was to hire cheaper labor to earn more profit via the name and brand of product

Does anybody remember how poorly marketed Wonder Woman was when the first movie came out? it had one trailer, and showed up so infrequently that people who cared to keep an eye on it had to actively track the release date.
The only difference between Wonder Woman and Madame Web was that Wonder Woman had a fanbase before a movie was made for her.

This is just become common place for modern Hollywood in general for me. Personally, I’ve just grown completely apathetic towards any western projects, movies or TV shows in general that includes comics I just don’t bother with them anymore my main focus for entertainment for video games, comics, and movies and TV shows are out in Japan, and I really have no reason to come back to the west for any entertainment other than a handful of movies that are still good but those are quickly draining.

Do Disney really think that producing the same kinds of movies over and over is going to have any effect on an audience that they already assume hates everything they do?
How are they going to 'change' the audience? It's like watching a child arguing... "NO! I'm not wrong, you're wrong! And I won't stop bloody swearing."

I think it was the film that paved the way for other well written likable female characters like Leia, Ripley, etc.
shocking the difference between it and the horrible garbage today.

From the mindset of that anonymous Disney exec, they seem to be under the impression that "making a movie better" means conforming to progressive stereotypes or putting women front and center in the narrative. People could care less about stereotypes or narratives. We just want good stories. Anything more or less than that ruins the experience.
