There used to be a popular pub called Forty Thieves (or just Forties in.short) not sure if it's still there. It was greatly affected by Covid pandemic curfews
Forty Thieves wasn't affected by the pandemic. It was closed before that due to an ongoing ownership dispute between the deceased owner's son and his widow
$80 for 2 people to fine dine is expensive? You pay more in the US for gmo food but want to pay peanuts for purely organic food. Make that make sense. A steak in any fancy restaurant in the US ranges on average around $80. You're a cheapskate.
I fully agree with you on that with that being said, the reason why I found it expensive is because the food was average at best that is all. You pay mainly because of location and keep in mind that this is Kenya and not the US in terms of price.

The food was good but not outstanding.
Husband and I had awful food poisoning after going here for dinner in August for our anniversary. It doesn't have the same standards it did years ago

I do agree that its a bit expensive for the food you get but you're definitely paying for the location.
