- We have been down to the borage for the final time in order to bring or hives home.
We have attempted to graft again for some end of season splits and dodging attacking seagulls at Liverpool One.
===============================
We are a UK based honey company showing you the good and bad within our little bee farming operation. Raising bees, making splits, nuc's, queen rearing and havesting our honey varieties througout the beekeeping season.🐝

WHOA... the Borage took a little longer to fill up... but.. Boy.. did they... They look great.. I bet THAT feels good!
It feels great having honey in the boxes as anything could have happened really.
It's a stunning part of the country but I'm happy to have the hives back home 😁
That hive barrow/mover is brilliant. Show us more!
I'll do a review of it in the near future 😃
Just got freaked out as a bee landed on the camera in the video at the same time a bee landed on my iPad and I thought the bee had come through the screen
😂😂 we try and show as much as we can but even that would be a push for me to make happen 😆
As soon as you say... "these cows are destined for the table..." they start backing up away from you...- hahaha. Great video.
1-Can you tell us, show us the Hive wheelbarrow... I don't think I've seen something like that in the USA... I usually just need to recruit strong friends- haha...
2- I noticed that you have some hives on stands, so on the ground directly, some you were talking about "bring in stones or something to stand some hives on..."- is it just sort of what's handy on a particular site/location? I'm just wondering about critters that can possibly move in from the ground level... I'm on the look out for ants, etc.. and mine on a a stand, off the ground. I just wondered if you got more bugs - laid directly on the ground. just wondering.. thanks!
Maybe they know what's coming ?? 😮
It's my first season of giving the barrow a go... but up to now I'm really impressed with it.
It makes my life so much easier moving hives around as I'm usually on my own.
The hives on the ground will be raised up on a stand once I take some concrete blocks to site, I keep forgetting.
Other than slugs and mice we don't really have any "Critters" that would bother the bees/hives.
A strong hive of bees will always be able to control ants etc.
Those seagulls have tattoos in my garden ... scarey .... I watched one swallow a wood pigeon whole last week .. brutal
The roof is full of KFC bones.
Sympathies on your fingers. I did wonder why you were on national and not langstroth. L is a much better format. Oddly I did a consultant job at Liverpool one today and thought of you as the seagulls attacked
I love the Langstroth as a hive and it would make much more sense as a commercial beekeeper but unfortunately my digits just don't get along with them.
I'm back at L1 this week to run the gauntlet 😂
