Thanks for your patience and time today at Chorley Flower festival. Hope you had a great day. I'm giving my lazy queen a 1 week stay of execution, loads more brood since last inspection. If they can't get their arses in gear over the next week, of forecast great weather, it will be squishing time and I'll be after one of your queens. Cheers, Mark
Yes it looks like l will get a summer crop this year from the brambles 2 supers almost full and the bramble is still flowering. Our weather up here in the Lake District has not been too bad this year and we have had a good mating session. I look forward to seeing your videos each week DON’T stop. Regards Tony
You're not too far from us. You're lucky with the mating success as we gave up some time ago. That said with the change in weather I'm looking to give it another couple of rounds to hopefully fill nucs
San Francisco, California, 🇺🇸 -pretty dreary weather this Spring 2024 (where as Spring 2023 I got 100+ pounds) I thought if I got any honey this year-it was going to be minimal. But a friend I was helping was feeling overwhelmed-and gave me their “10 double deep Langstroth” and I pulled off 15 medium capped frames, trying to make it lighter to move/ Like you are doing for your hives going to heather. My friend -that gave me the hive- is less than 1 mile away… but we have such microclimates-their (now mine) capped frames will be a good honey crop.🎉
Yes. Northamptonshire, spring was a good crop above average which considering the weather was surprising and now august the summer blossom honey being extracted with average yield
I’ve ordered my first extractor i went for a techtron . I did a lot of research and spoke to a few people then went for one that nobody apart from you had anything to say about! Looks like a very established company that is yet to really hit the uk market. Darius? Rang me the day after i placed the order to give me an eta which was Great customer service. Hopefully the unit is as good as it sounds on paper. If it wasn’t for your couple of reviews on techtron i might not of delved any deeper into their stuff 👍🏻
@@SimplyBeeutifulHoney used my extractor for the first time this weekend all seemed good super quiet and stable even at full speed. I have nothing to compare it to as its the first time i’ve ever extracted honey being a new bee keeper . The uncapping is a ballache I’m thinking of getting one of the double roller slit uncappers they look time efficient and cost effective?
New to this stuff I have 3 hives 2 supers on 1 4 on another and 6on another. Just going to take 1 crop as I have only just bought a spinner. Good video just found ya
New subscriber here, will definitely get a crop, 9 colonies but only 5 are in full hives, looking like we'll get maybe 8 to 10 supers in county kerry, Ireland
Hi, I read a post about this only this week on social media. To be honest no I haven't had any issues. But I use an oil based marker pen rather than the posca pens.
I’ve got 80 hives in Essex on the borage. The flows not as good as last year. Took 90 supers off so far and left them with 4/5 supers till they swath it. See what happens. Yes had spring crop. Averages 54lb/hive Norfolk England
Hi Joe 👋 Still got to be happy with that ? As you know it's my first time to the borage so I'll be happy with what ever we get. I hope to be a little more organised for it next year 😁
Astley in greater Manchester, just took 7 supers off 4 hives. Extracted 130lb, massive flow on with Himalayan balsam on at the moment 🎉
What a ringtone!!
Spring crop off one sight in South Bucks,
Looking at a decent summer crop.

East Midlands I had a nuc from bmh in April, it's now on its 4th super but put out supersedure cells last week so took a split.

@@SimplyBeeutifulHoney yes… I am very appreciative…😉
Nice video , good luck with the honey flow.
Thanks, you too!
Not great over here in Co Tyrone ,weather has been poor, getting some this week. Moving onto heather next week.
Yes, South Yorks, mostly on 5-6 supers. Having to extract and put the empties back on as we anticipate another 5-6 weeks on the HB

I have a few items from them now and very happy with how they perform.
We’re hoping to get some new review items in soon 😁

Yes should get one or two supers of honey but only started this year and from hull East Yorkshire
Great vlog , have you had any queen deaths with the green marker , as soon as I mark my queen the bees seem to kill her , lost 5 new queens so far !!

@@SimplyBeeutifulHoney what make of pen is it please , I think there is something dye chemical in green posco as the other colours seem ok , thanks
It’s a “Toma” paint marker pen/ tyre marker. (Oil based )
Great set up, I've 50 hives here in Ireland, I never see farmers grow fields of borage here.. why do British farmers grow borage? Is it a cover crop??
It’s has several uses but one is a treatment to help with arthritis
@@SimplyBeeutifulHoney thank you 😊
Alright guys, what trailer are you using for transporting hives? Anything specific, or just a decent one. Hope your both well.
It's an Ifor Williams drop side trailer, 12ft if I remember correctly. Its good for around 30 hives or so 👍🏻

Hi stu how long will it be before you have some borage honey for sale.
Hi. We brought the bees back this weekend, so I hope to be extracting in a week or so.
Where did you get that labeling machine from that I saw on the w/top?
I think it was FB market place 😂 but I've also seen them on Ebay
I never get much more than 2 supers per hive on borage
Why is there so much borage? Is it planted just for the bee's?
Hi Tony, No its planted to produce the oil from the seed. Its used in vitamins and treatments.
What are the easy ways to get the seeds in small gardens?
@@xodroid9853 you can buy the seeds online and grow easily in most soils.
Fields full of ( 2:43 honey)
