Happy New Year Stu, great video as always. No matter how much heavy syrup I give my bees in the late summer and Autumn, I can’t seem to get them to store it in any great volume. I don’t tend to worry, I have the same outlook as you and just feed fondant throughout the winter. Took a couple of seasons to get to know the frequency of feeding but most of my hives come through winter just fine now. Looking forward to the new bee season, I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one.

Any advice on where you get your sodium hyperchloride from and price. that’ll probably work well on frames and plastic Queen excluder I would imagine don’t know about metal Queen excluder.❤

It will depend on the paint you have used but the vast majority of paints will be absolutely fine. I’ve not had an issue.

Does soaking the poly hives in bleach affect the paint on them? I have Abelo painted supers that I need to clean and was worried about damaging them. Thanks

I prefer my jacket. Wear it most of the time. One I had this season was from maisemore. No zip on the front pull it over your head like a jumper. Much better. I only buy cheap suits for reason you said. They end up going mouldy

Trouble is with the bee jackets is I’ve had them crawl up around the waist band. They then proceed to sting my belly 🤣

New to the channel via Olly, really enjoyed the video. You have a new subscriber now because I love Honey and real Honey can only be sourced through independent suppliers. I feel most but not all store bought Honey is just processed sugar ? Correct me if I am wrong. 👍.
