Sully is the best character in the whole series. The respect he gets from everyone is gigantic. A man with few words but the words that are spoken are powerful. Dushane is a leader but sully is that person a leader needs by his side 24/7
Sully laughs at huge problems like it's nothing. Their empire falling wouldn't change his living standard. Back to basics is his calling card, and he knows he's living on borrowed time.
I think this was also just an act they both did to portray weakness in the organization and it worked but Jamie making his move and then Sully dealing with him properly
The fear and respect that Sully projects is massive. If you notice nobody even tried to restraint him, they just stood in between him and Dushane. They may work directly for Dushane but they fear the silent partner who clearly doesn't give a fu*k. Sully is the man

I Started with Dushane, and ended with sully as my favourite character. Sully was a hothead, but he's a cool and calm sorta gangster now, and he's a smart motherfucker when it comes to people. Dushane is too calm, he pulls back when he should push, and pushes when he should pull back. He understands business, but doesn't understand people. He's a businessman that is wrapped up in gangsterism and drugs. Dushane gets by on his money and business smarts, sully gets by on his strength of character and street smarts. Hard not to respect either of their characters tbh lol

He also played above board when Sully was trying to rob the younger for his weed. Dushane paid him off and told him this is a one off you can’t be competition either you with us or you the enemy. Dushane knows what loyalty is and knows how show it.
This is the way blood brothers fight, Dushane threw one punch cos he was pissed Sully wasnt helping the situation and being disrespectful. But just a lot of grappling to show superior strength is all. These two guys are killers and always carry, but no thought to go for the strap. Theres love between these two. If there comes a time one of the characters get clipped the other is going to go on the warpath

Don’t be spoiling the show for those who haven’t seen it. That said D and Sully are always helping each other despite the huge swings of ups and downs in their relationship.

What I love about Sully’s character is that he admired people who just came out with their thoughts. That’s why Jamie’s brother got a pass after their confrontation. He always pays close attention to people’s words.

(Edit) After watching the last episode Sully defo is a borderline psychopath. He's anti social, dosent care for his own safety and really has that unpredictable/threatening aura like the joker.

Best parts of this scene are at 0:09 and 1:00. If you look at Sullys face after the statements Dushane has just made, it’s almost as if he wants to cry. Dushane is clearly is brother and he will ride for him through whatever but those moments show just how much their ideological differences affect him. They have almost completely different mindsets.

Sully is definitely one of the most real characters but at the same time, i think he is slowly going against his own morals aswell. Like, he had a problem with Dushane forcing jamie to essentially turn himself in, yeah it was a snake move but you can’t argue that sully catching jamie off guard and shooting him in the chest in his own home, literally staring at the younger brothers and still shooting jamie in the head infront of them was just as bad. Jamie’s death was justified but the way sully did it was so weird. I don’t think dushane will be pissed specifically because of jamie’s death, but more or so the fact that sully just barged in their without hiding his face. I don’t think steph will get revenge next season. It honestly depends how long the timeskip will be. Sully is too smart and has been doing this way longer. Like, if stef was like 20-22 then yeah, i can see it happening. I think next season will focus alot of stef, him actually entering the gang life. As characters, there isn’t really anything left for dushane and sully, apart from expanding this whole business. They are old. It would be somewhat a breath of fresh air to see someone young and inexperienced like stef learn the roots, whether someone takes him under his wing or not.

Not agreeing with shopping Jamie to the police fits in with Sullys morals - never talk to the police ever! There’s a way to get stuff done and that weren’t it… The location of killing Jamie was defo weird, but he had already started shooting Jamie before he realised Stef was there and regardless he had to get the job done….but doing that in front of Stef will eat him up just like the Dris ting … Stef is gonna turn into a bad man, the lady on the boat is defo undercover, Curtis’ family are going to be an issue and Dushane and Sully are going to end up being on opposite sides I hope it’s not 2 years before the next one

The funny thing about everyone’s think pieces about the show is that a lot people talk from the perspective of the Netflix series instead of the whole entire thing including the channel 4 series. Everyone keeps saying dushane is a shit friend yada yada but if you’ve watched the previous series you’ll know how much of a headache sully really was before he became maturely liberated so for me I feel like dushane still feels like that with sully that’s why he’ll talk/treat him a certain way but regardless when it’s crunch time he’s still always there for sully.

Sully is definitely one of the most real characters but at the same time, i think he is slowly going against his own morals aswell. Like, he had a problem with Dushane forcing jamie to essentially turn himself in, yeah it was a snake move but you can’t argue that sully catching jamie off guard and shooting him in the chest in his own home, literally staring at the younger brothers and still shooting jamie in the head infront of them was just as bad.
Jamie’s death was justified but the way sully did it was so weird.
I don’t think dushane will be pissed specifically because of jamie’s death, but more or so the fact that sully just barged in their without hiding his face.
I don’t think steph will get revenge next season. It honestly depends how long the timeskip will be. Sully is too smart and has been doing this way longer. Like, if stef was like 20-22 then yeah, i can see it happening.
I think next season will focus alot of stef, him actually entering the gang life.
As characters, there isn’t really anything left for dushane and sully, apart from expanding this whole business. They are old.
It would be somewhat a breath of fresh air to see someone young and inexperienced like stef learn the roots, whether someone takes him under his wing or not.
He thinks Jamie sent Layton to the cemetery when he was burying Jason so he will have no sympathy for killing Jamie in front of Steff and I think that would be lazy writing to get steff to kill sully woundnt make sense sully is the top boy from day 1

The location of killing Jamie was defo weird, but he had already started shooting Jamie before he realised Stef was there and regardless he had to get the job done….but doing that in front of Stef will eat him up just like the Dris ting …
Stef is gonna turn into a bad man, the lady on the boat is defo undercover, Curtis’ family are going to be an issue and Dushane and Sully are going to end up being on opposite sides

The funny thing about everyone’s think pieces about the show is that a lot people talk from the perspective of the Netflix series instead of the whole entire thing including the channel 4 series. Everyone keeps saying dushane is a shit friend yada yada but if you’ve watched the previous series you’ll know how much of a headache sully really was before he became maturely liberated so for me I feel like dushane still feels like that with sully that’s why he’ll talk/treat him a certain way but regardless when it’s crunch time he’s still always there for sully.
