Emilio getting revenge for his brother reminded me of Antonio banderas in desperado. He is seeking revenge for the death of his brother at the hands of the cartel. Emilio’s brother is also called Antonio. I have no doubt that the writers were inspired to create emilio based off the desperado films.
I wouldn't be surprised if emilio also told sully about jamie making deals with juan, seeing as how him and lizzie had been using him to negotiate with the man who killed his brother
Juan ratting out Jamie was unnecessary and seemed forced to add to the explanation of Sully killing Jamie in the end. To Juan money is money, so why bring that up
let's face it, the plan was rather risky. all that had to happen was Juan saying "nah, next time man. money's the sweetest thing ya know". or worse still, the henchman taking the entire box off Sully's hands (even for a second; he'd feel the extra weight immediately). how oould they know he wouldn't? nice scene though if you suspend disbelief : )
