Kattankudy and south Eastern part of Sri Lanka is a majority Muslim. The hospitality , traditions, customs and lifestyle is very unique and beautiful compared to whole of Sri Lanka. It's underrated due majority Muslims . These TH-camr should really give life to these areas. Should really bring out the beautiful of these places

I have been several times in Sri Lanka and I love it. The town you introduce is 100% Muslim. It follows islam as it it was Saudi Arabia. Everything close on Friday. It became famous after the terrorism against churches and tourists. That's why visited Sri Lanka just after to show my sympathy to my friends.
Easter bombings carried out by Islamic preacher called Zahran Hashim & a team massacred 300 plus innocent Christians on Easter Sunday.
Also Tamil separatist movement LTTE lead by Velupillai killed hundred of Muslims when they were playing inside the Mosque in Kathankudy during the days of Tamil separatist movement.
@@chathurakapuge Zahran Hashim wasn't a Muslim, but rather a Khariji munafiq (breakaway hypocrite) who claimed to be one and following the attacks, the government took legal actions and while they were right in condemning the attacks, they also psychologically damaged their Muslim population by banning Zakir Naik and Peace TV which are NOT related to the attacks. Following the attacks, they arrested many people, including those who had no ties with the terrorists. We Muslims at the time were in fear that we may be arrested by the government under the guise of "fighting extremism" and they also stigmatized certain Islamic terms, a tactic that they learnt from the US, Israel, India and China when those countries involved in military interventions involving Muslims. Certain media personalities criticized Islam when the religion has nothing to do with the attacks and said religion actually condemns such cruel and heinous actions. Also they banned organizations, even those who are related to the attacks. May Almighty Allah protect the Muslim community from such hypocrites and also I don't condone any form of violence and discrimination.

Most of them are speaking Arabic because they don’t easily get government jobs due to various reasons so the men mostly migrate for Middle eastern countries for jobs..Once they come back to Sri Lanka they start there own small scale business…Yes as u said we Muslims in Sri lanka usually greet each other using Arabic instead of Tamil and we aren’t called Tamils but Muslims..In India though they say Tamils to all Tamil speaking people..Thanks for making a vlog in Batticoaloa.. I have never visited this place coz it’s very far from Colombo..But it looks a cool city to visit..❤
