While traveling in Inner Mongolia, Me and my friend @somenuance stopped at the city Bayannur in which Hui ethnic group makes up the majority of the population. There are 44 mosques across the city and we decided to visit one and tried to understand what their lives are like, understand more about their culture.
With the permission of the Imam, I entered the mosque with a hijab on, observed how they pray, and shoot in the mosque. More importantly, I had the opportunity to have a honest conversation with the religious staffs and believers too.

It's interesting to know that even my Muslim brother in China is aware of what happens all around the world, the stereotyping of Muslims with terrorism, and how Western people think that Muslims are just Arab and they all were terrorists. In fact, even though I'm a native of north Borneo, a Dayak living in a rural area, many Westerners would think that I must be animistic, shamanistic, pantheistic, or any other. Actually, I and so many of us are also Muslim nowadays. Assalamualaikum to my Muslim brother in China especially that imam.
Our Chinese Muslims have a very high level of culture and are very tolerant and hospitable. We Chinese Muslims identify very much with our motherland and we are proud to be Chinese. In our hearts the motherland always comes first, not religion. So first we are Chinese and second we are Muslims. Foreign Muslims, on the other hand, mostly put religion first, they are convinced that religion is more important than homeland and law, which is why most Muslim countries are ignorant and backward, full of war and chaos.

As a Muslim I'm very happy with what you did in providing true and accurate picture of what's going on on the ground. Frankly many of us outside china tend to believe what was told repeatedly by the western mainstream medias like CNN, fox etc. May God bless you....from Malaysia.
Whenever something is happening around the world. Look for people that are on the ground in those areas and watch their videos. Because they tell the truth, compared to the MSM who are controlled by the government. In the last year, I've come across so many TH-camrs living in China, I now just ignore everything that the MSM is saying and I choose to believe the TH-camrs. They are living there and seeing everything that is happening, while the people at CNN, fox etc are just doing what they're told by people with an agenda.

That was a Good interview which shows the reality of Muslims life in China. But the best thing which I am glad with is the expression of realities , which Imam mentioned about the origins of Al qaeda and Taliban
, who has been created by America, Britain,and some reactionary countries, to create problems in Sentral Asian countries, as well they take advantages of creating destabilizing in the vicinity of Russia and China. I wish that everyone, specially each Imam should understand these realities, and understand who backed and armed Taliban and Alqaieda.

"Numuves" is a very underestimated TH-camr. He has made so many debunking videos to expose Western lies. However, we've never seen that he is invited to any foreign TH-camr Events. Yes totally agreed. "Numuves" is a very underrated youtuber indeed and his efforts should be recognised more by CGTN.
There are at least a few independent journalists in the United States who would love to speak to him, but they likely don't know he exists. Here is a short list of journalists/outlets that would definitely bring him on..
The Jimmy Dore show, the Grayzone, Max Blumenthal, Aaron Maté, Lee Camp (Lee actually recently had Li on recently, that's how I learned about her). There are probably more that I'm forgetting at the moment.

I met Chinese Muslims in the Middle East.
I spoke to them alone one to one and didn't find any complaints about China. They love their nation like all other nationals.
Talk to uighurs, not chinese. They will tell you the truth.

I want to tell a story of my hometown, Chengdu, a city of 20 million people, most of which are Han Chinese, with a very, very small portion of Hui & Uyghur Muslims.
Back in the 90s, the Muslims lived reletively separate from the Hans in Chengdu. We didn't have any problems against them, but we also knew very little about them. We published a book, in which there was a joke about Muslims and pork. It was very rude, very ignorant and insensitive. The Muslims protested. Our city government listened, and decided that there's nothing to be done except for the sincerest form of apology. So they built a big mosque at the city center, right next to our central plaza. And guess what, the city is very comfortable with it. The only lesson we took away from that incident was that other people's traditions we shouldn't make fun of, it doesn't even occur to us that this architecture represented something different from us... it only occured to me after watching various religious conflicts on TH-cam.
And the muslims in that mosque are just as kind as the imam in the video. When I was little I used to going inside the mosque to play in their yard with playmates, because the roofs are pretty in our eyes. Never once were we asked to leave, they just tolerated us warmly.
Till today I still know very little about the Muslim religion. That brief explanation of the sage's instruction told by the imam is very beautiful. I don't understand how some other people believing in the same thing can become terrorists. I'm happy that China has banned islamophobia since the Xinjiang terrorist attacks. An appropriate law for a turbulent time.

You should study Islam a bit more. It doesn’t take much to see any Muslim anywhere would believe this. We won’t give up our faith to appease other humans, but that doesn’t mean we support unwarranted violence. It is always best to have peace. And we have to respect everyone’s right to their choice of faith as Muslims. Allah gave them a choice. Who are we to take that choice away?
@@HH-yq6ch I did once read an English version of the Quran (Penguin edition), which may not fairly reflect the original Arabic version. So yes, I have tried to improve my knowledge of Islam. But I understand there is much more material beyond the Quran that one needs to also read to understand Islam properly.

Pakistani here. Chinese and Pakistani people are Iron-Brothers. And when the Chinese are Muslims, this bond gets another dimension (Blood-Brothers) and it becomes much much more stronger than it already is! Personally, I like the Chinese nation and I find Chinese people quite attractive and I'd definitely like to have a pious Chinese Muslimah as my wife if I get the opportunity, InshaAllah.

MashaAllah the beauty of Islam is that even if you go to China or any other country the routine is the same like adhan ,iqamaha ,imam and the no. Of rakaa or even ramadhan.
You don't have to start from zero as long as long you know the quran and hadith guidelines about prayers .
