Yeah Ledger's Joker is a cool character, but tbh people are just afraid to criticize anything about his version.
On the other hand Joaquin did it with pure hard-work and won Oscar genuinely.

Lol the documentary had to act like Jared Leto’s Joker was “special” but then only spent a few seconds on it before cutting to the LEGO movie which got more time. Yikes.
It's only because he wasn't in the movie much. It was kind of the problem with the movie for me. I wanted to see more Joker and even more of him interacting with Harley Quinn.
Honestly, he was the least of that movie's problems.

The only thing i didn't like about him is that he played in a bad wrighten movie and that he was only a side character for developement ... but i like the way he acted and all, i find that he was a different kind of joker, but not a bad player joker.
And now we have Zack Snyder recognising that Jared deserved more screen time to prove his true potential... Here he comes in ZSJL, and for sure soon in the Ayer Cut. 9 minutes cutoff from a bad-editing-studio-greed-moved-executives and Geoff Buttface Johns made no justice for Jared, David and Zack himself. It’s insane how so many versions of The Joker have been made but each one are so easy to understand yet so complex. The Joker has so many parts each play a huge role in his overall character.

For everyone wondering why Christian Bale is doing an American accent: those interviews were taken from his 2008 The Dark Knight press tour, where he put on his American accent to not potentially distance the general audience who may question 'why is Bruce Wayne english'. Not sure it was necessary, but I imagine he was probably instructed to by his agent or someone from the WB marketing team.

That’s what makes them so great, Humans can relate to them on a real scale. They can believe everything they do. Nobody knows what it’s like to be able to lift a planet or blow it up with your power. Even flying, but everyone understand with peak condition and money everyone could see being Batman and fighting an insane criminal who looks like a clown.
Kevin Conroy was the only person who could have narrated this documentary. It’s like Batman bring up files of all the crimes he’s done throughout the years.

Heath's Joker was anarchic chaos, but Joaquin's was psychological trauma and was more terrifying because he could be any of us.
Both are terrifying.
Heath’s Joker scared me more even though Joaquin’s is most realistic.
I don’t really think the average person appreciates just how influential the early Batman cartoon/live action show Jokers were. They were the pioneers responsible for taking the character off the page; they laid the ground work for how the character acted, sounded, and moved in motion, outside of the confines of a printed page. You can still see pieces of those early Jokers carried on to this day in portrayals as new as Phoenix’s Joker, especially with the iconic laugh.
DC created the most popular fiction characters, Batman the hero and Joker the villain. If there was only these two in the comic world it will be enough.
It would be great if they could get someone to play Joker in Multiple movies.

Superman being the most popular hero just because you can go anywhere in the world and show the S symbol and they'll instantly recognise it as Superman's trademarks. Batman and Spiderman are very close to being as popular as superman but the rest of the dc or even marvel characters aren't at these 3's level. They probably used archived interviews from the press cycle for The Dark Knight. If I recall correctly, Christian Bale kept his Bruce accent for the press to stay in character and minimize dissonance for the audience.

Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker is the best example of creative infinity of insanity.
Fun Fact: Cesar Romero was asked to shave his distinctive Latin mustache to be the Joker, and he adamantly refused. They worked around it with heavier application of his white greasepaint on his upper lip and long shot selection (you really only notice it on closeups and in the re-masters).
I love Cesar Romero's Joker the only critique I have for not him but the show is, they missed the opportunity to have his mustache be green would have been even more badass

Joker the most iconic comic book character and villain of all time. I still remember being a small girl and watching the animated series and being fascinated with the Joker even more when my dad would put on the Tim Burton movie and seeing Jack Nicholson go insane. I love every interpretation of the character but the ones I mostly love are the ones played by Cameron Monaghan, Mark Hamill, Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix in first place🃏

The dark knight's Joker is probably the greatest villain ever in cinema.
Hands down. I remember going to see it in the cinemas and EVERYONE was just completely blown away. Amazing experience and a fantastic performance from Heath and all the stars. The movie overall was just brilliant.

Siva Subbu I’d agree he’s number one as far as DC comics go. Maybe one of the top villains in cinema. It’s hard to choose the “best” being so many different film genres. Darth Vader is one of the greatest movie villains of all time as well, but resides in the sci fi genre, I just couldn’t bring myself to even compare him to the Joker. They’re so drastically different it just doesn’t make sense to me. Other top villains I’d include among their ranks as the “best” cinema villains would be Sauron/The Ring, Anton Chigurh (No Country for Old Men since that’s a little obscure), Voldemort, Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds, Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal. There’s plenty of great villains, but nearly impossible to compare.
