Made these last night on the Joe Jr. I don't have cast iron that small so I just used a disposable pie pan. They were great. I will be doing these in the future, alot.

I have a small Kamado Joe and am new at this. I wanted to make tthese potatoes for a side dish while the Kamado is getting up inheat and wanted them to add my Brooks Chicken (I live in Germany, so our chickens are much smaller than yours in America). I thought of first cooking the spuds, almost to finish time, then removing them, removing the reflection plate, cooking the chicken and then, when that is finished and resting, finishing off the potatoes. Does that sound feasible?

I'm kind of surprised you can't find anyone stocking Komado Joe in Denver, went to the listed retailers (Ace Hardware ) here and they look at me like a deer in the headlights, but can find Big Green Eggs everywhere . was lead to believe they are almost identical but Komado Joe gives you all the bells and whistles for the same price as the Egg with no accessories.

Do you think this would work if you used melted butter or Ghee in place of the olive oil?

i need to know the name and kind of lighter you're using to light the forestarters. Been watching your vids and have a KJ on the way.

That potato needs to be fanned out more so it gets crispy inside the slices, too. Otherwise what’s the real difference between this and a regular baked potato.

Instead of Olive oil I use butter.

The background music is super distracting and does not compliment the video at all. What's the point of it when the audience is more interested in hearing the ingredients and steps to making these awesome recipes? It really takes away from you, John ;)

I enjoyed the backround music - i just bought the soundtrack. Thanks John.
