Thank you for this tip, but vacuuming salt off the carpet ruins the vacuum cleaner. I don't think it is a good idea, specially if one have a very expensive one.
@@guybrush1701 I do an experiment and mix baking soda with water and try it on captured flea it does work on slowing the flea down but during the 10 minutesmor so the flea is frantic and jumping everywhere but it start to slow down and slowly die i guess and it take approximately 1 hour to kill it.
@@guybrush1701Obviously i am not a vet and have any real knowledge to confirm this. And the experiment i do not taking an account of a place thats well vetelented(have airflow) so take this with a grain of salt
@@Clowd_Dee_Day no...I've just been using a flea comb daily and attempting to vacuum as much as possible. I'm guessing mine picks them up when he's walking in yards or the park. I sprayed my yard with nematodes which I really think helped, look into that if you have a yard? Nothing else worked though, not salt, coconut oil, essential oils. But I DO bath him weekly as well.
@@JoyinFlorida It's frustrating especially when your dog has flea allergies. Yesterday, I put a flea in a baggy with about 1/2 inch of DE on the bottom. Flea was still alive after four hours. Haven't checked since but if the flea is dead, it might just be from suffocation. 😁 Please let me know if you find anything that works.
Coming from Queensland Australia and on the coast, I found you have sand fleas so no it doesn't work from experience, Stick-fast fleas, are very similar to ticks but fleas just saying, love Australia 😅 look it up if you think I am pulling your leg 🦵 ❤😊 in other words I call BS 🎉
I also have used baking soda successfully. Awesome stuff and neutralizes smell as well.
salt and bi carb mixed together can also kill fleas as it dries them out
