The package says you can feed it to animals… if the label is the law, why is this allowed? Using the product WRONG is the problem. (Same with the very healing DMSO and borax) The people who have lost their pets due to ‘doctor approved’ flea treatments might like to take their chances with diatomaceous. If you had actual case studies, I might consider what you’re saying.…. you didn’t state any evidence. Maybe you could SHOW people how to use it safely?

    • @GreenAkersPC

The issue is that Feeding isn't the same thing as breathing it into your lungs... a good example would be Water. You can drink it but you would die if you tried to breathe it. This video is going over the inhalation of DE and when you treat your pets with it, the dust will enter their lungs through normal grooming. I actually say this many many many times in several of my videos on the dangers of DE and I always get these remarks "if it can be eaten its so safe" which isn't true at all.

Rule #1 You or your pets should never inhale DE dust.
Rule #2 A small amount added to pet food is extremely healthy for dogs cats and live stock
Also helps keep them free of internal parasites. Once in a while I mix a teaspoon of Food grade DE in a glass glass of water
and take a dose myself. To each his own.
      Rule #3 See rule #1

I have taken human grade DE for years never had a problem, My dog had a bad bout of fleas I think from a lot of cats which hang about the area, I used this on her only her back and on the carpet left on couple days, she isn't itching or scratching, no sign of fleas. I would never use the vets poison on her. To keep them down I use ACV half and half water and spray the dog twice a day for a week if scratching really bad, if no itching after a week stop,

We had half an acre backyard & nine dogs, many years ago in south Texas, where fleas thrive. On a whim, I ordered nematodes, & they worked like magic. After spraying, the following day there was a noticeable decrease, by the second day the flea population was cut in half, & by the fifth day, zero fleas. I got lucky, bc I found out later that if it’s too dry, they won’t survive, & if it’s too wet, they wash away. We just happened to get the right amount of rain that week.

Hi! Thanks for the this information.
I have an infestation of ants in my yard. I’ve used pesticides with temporary results. Their numbers reduced, but they came back when it rained a few days later 😭. You will see them in the grass and entering the home (in reduced numbers).
I’ve used ant bait, and same thing- lower numbers for a few weeks, then an increase.
I have a pet and don’t enjoy using pesticides anyway.
I was going to try to use diatomaceous earth on any small ant mounds I can see.
Would you recommend this? Do you have any other tips? I’m desperate! And your videos are great.

What about the 5 feral kittens I got stuck with after mama was hit by a car?
I give them dry food around noon, and dry mixed with tuna, sardines or some fish, but they stay very fearful of humans. Mother was a very quiet feral we almost had tamed (gorgeous calico), and her kits don't make a sound for anything.
I trapped them with a big live trap to get them out of our crawlspace and put them to our very crowded sunroom (storage) after treating the floors best we could get to.
I'm sure they're trap shy now, and wife wants to put Benadryl in the food and try to catch and bathe them, and bomb the sunroom. I dunno. 😒

like most things, you just need to use with common sense and not be careless with it. if you're gonna apply it indoors, don't be making huge dust clouds of the stuff as you apply it. gently sprinkle it where you need it and keep any pets away as it settles down/in.
it's safe for humans and pets to ingest, but breathing in pretty much any sort of particles can be potentially harmful. just like that stupid cinnamon challenge that was going around years ago. cinnamon is obviously safe to eat(unless you have allergies), and of course you're gonna smell it and breath it in when you're using it, but you shouldn't be snoring the stuff in large amounts, and if a cloud of the stuff goes up, it's not a good idea to stand in it and breathe it in.
i feel like there's a lot of fear mongering when it comes to this stuff, but if you have common sense, it's not an issue. just like knives- we use them in our day-to-day lives, most often without incident, but it you're careless with them, you can get seriously injured. just be careful what you're doing and you'll be fine.

I have personally never been in a house where DE was used correctly and I’m trained in the proper application of dusts…I’ve never ever seen it done right and the way you’re advising people to “sprinkle” is incorrect as well. If you haven’t been trained in the use of insecticide dusts (DE is one) then don’t use it. Very simple

Hi! So glad to have found your channel!! I appreciate you and your charity to those in need. I have a question, 15 years ago, I had a sudden bed bug problem and immediately handled it when my daughter was 7yo and slept with me. We are in the same home and I noticed an issue about a month ago in my bedroom. Now how they are back could be any number of reasons, as I am still a nurse, or my daughter visiting friends, or just day to day life….MY question is, should I wrap my mattress and box spring in plastic as I put them in new encasements, used a steamer, baking soda, vinegar and my old reliable alcohol(I stopped due to fire hazard.) So in addition, since I slowed them down but are not gone like before, I just bought 4ml plastic, duct tape, and am waiting for crossfire to be delivered tomorrow…Thank you for any advice!! Michele😊❤😊

I was thinking of this to get rid of flies/mosquitos. Mostly a dozen of flies on the daily that get locked in the living room/kitchen.
My first thought was the problems for my free roam indoor bunnies that have sensitive lungs to anything in a powder form. I may give a sort of bottle trap for flies with diatomaceous earth instead of the vinegar/cider type of bottle trap, though.
Will continue researching, but my initial thought was that applying it on surfaces was too dangerous.
