    Thank you for making this video. I made one today...my first project on my new 32 needle machine. I had trouble with snagging on my first join when I tried to cinch it up, so I undid all of my joining and started over. The second time I was able to cinch the ends together more evenly. It's a perfect fit and I'm very pleased with it!

    I made this with no waste yarn and it took so long for me to cinch the tube together. I had to put a safety pin in each stitch where I needed to put them together to cinch. Now I am trying another one with waste yarn. Let’s hope I like that better. Also mine was too tight so hopefully ten more rows will be good enough.

    • @sistertam

    what size knitting machine are you using and what size head will this fit kids, adult? and if I use a bigger machine then yours will it make it bigger on the head because I'm looking to make 1 for a child and 1 for me an adult, thank you for this tutorial

    • @SnufflebeanYarn
      @SnufflebeanYarn  ปีที่แล้ว

      The size of the machine defines the width of the headband, to make it smaller or bigger you adjust the tube length. This tutorial is for an adults headband, for a child you would work less rows. I’m using a 40pin machine

    • @SnufflebeanYarn
      @SnufflebeanYarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't found too many yarns that my machine hates, but my go-to plain yarn is definitely Paintbox Aran yarn. I wish it wasn't a Lovecrafts own brand so I could stock it myself(!)
      For Variegated yarns I love the Sirdar Jewelspun and the Red Heart Stripes (I know lots of people struggle with this yarn but I have minimal issues)

    Thank you, it’s always nice to have different ways and looks. I always have to do 55 each color for it to fit adult head. I don’t know why. My yarn tension is loose. When I use knitting needles you tend to have to go higher also. Maybe my machine knows this. Lol I can’t explain it. I’m trying different yarns to see but so far still the same.
    Any suggestions? I have 46 pin Addi n hv had it a week now.

    • @SnufflebeanYarn
      @SnufflebeanYarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everyone’s individual tension is different, so their row count will be too. If 55 rows per colour is where you need to be then embrace it and have fun making those headbands! 😀

    • @SnufflebeanYarn

      Where in the world are you based? I like to use Paintbox Aran weight yarn, it’s a soft yarn and glides through my machine.
      I did find though that practice really does make perfect, I had stopped stitches when I first started and I think it was tension related as I learnt to use my machine.
