Thanks for posting this! This was actually really helpful. I've been getting discouraged with insurance quotes of $4500/year on 250cc starter bikes (with an M2 and a safety course), so it's good to know that I just need to shop around more and not all hope is lost (lol). The other costs you mentioned are about what I suspected after doing some research, but it's great to hear from someone with actual experience from this area. :) Cheers!

I'm glad you found the video helpful. Have you checked our RidersPlus? Also, insurance is based on age/how long you've had your license. Even after 6 months you can call and have your rate readjusted.

Hey! Thanks for all your videos. I am new to biking and just started my research- what would be ideal timeframe to get a bike? Once you have written M1 test? Or after road test?

Hey Brother just got my Honda CBR 250r, my first time owning a bike, I always wanted one. I'm currently riding a Viper Max, Electric Kawasaki Ninja replica. I enjoy your videos thanks for sharing.

Size of bike cc matter when it comes to insurance age, experience full M or M2 full coverage or just the basic Ontario coverage are all things that effect your rates. Driving riding record tickets and so on years of continuous motorcycle insurance coverage i.e. at least 3 years and over 25 years of age helps and yes take the week end course saves you hundreds of even thousands in insurance coverage. Again the bike size cc wise is also key and forget sport bikes or super sport crotch rockets as some insurance companies will not insure you all together too risky for them. A sport touring bike under 800 cc or small cruisers are cheaper and easier to insure. Ride safe

Rates are more experience also where you live your postal code will have a huge factor on your yearly rate Baron you pay $60.00 a month that's cheap bro for your age I take it you're under 30 so not bad
