How to rehab a sun faded patio umbrella | diy quick and easy

It’s an easy and fun project to rehab a sun faded umbrella that people might just throw away. It doesn’t cost a lot to do and doesn’t take too much time.

Highly recommend getting glovers. Never realized how much paint gets sprayed all over when using a spray. You can try different price points for umbrellas canopies. Some of the cheaper ones may last a couple of summers but definitely beats buying a new umbrella.

I painted mine. I went to the art supply at Walmart and got a bottle of black lthe color I chose $2.49 and painted the top and the inside and it turned out great! I tried spray paint but it left spots and lines and looked terrible so I painted over it!

I can't unscrew my umbrella at the top it is heavy metal very strong market umbrella any suggestions?

Is it stuck? may just some lubricant: Spray a lubricant, such as WD-40 or a penetrating oil, around the screw area. Allow it to penetrate for a few minutes to loosen any rust or corrosion that may be causing the difficulty.

@averagedesijoe9494 aw, thanks for replying. I did use WD-40, and it seems to be the kind that is un-removable. I cut a slit at the top, and I was able to attach the cover to the umbrella frame 🌂 😄

@@Deedee-nx5qj1vr7p that works. I have experienced a few covers where the opening at the top was not wide enough therefore needed to be cut just like your case. Surprisingly they hold up well.
