    Nice quick yet packed with plenty of information. As an English teacher you have to do that often as well. Digging the way that those two arrows look. I am glad that you found one to be more forgiving for you.
    I hope to do some 3D Archery 🏹 this spring and summer at some clubs in PA. I also hope to take a turkey for the first time with my bow.

    Easy to understand and well done. I'm learning to consolidate my AJA - Ed notes into categories that relate. As Avg Jack envelopes two to three subjects. I can break down arrow(s) to Bow set up and Operator error...which IS my #1 focus at the moment.

    My bow is awesome shooting around 380-390 fps 1200 gr arrow 60% foc. 😂😂😂😂 I do love my Kure i told my wife it shoots so well I just have to point and release 😂. Warmer weather is on the way 👍

    Thanks for the info. I'm having a lot of trouble getting use to my mathews V3 27. 1 day things are perfect the next day I want to give up but I know it's not the bow it's grip and anchor point. This is not my first short bow .my last bow I shot for over 18 years and I knew what wanted . Thanks again .

    I've always viewed "forgiveness" as how the bow is set up to make it easier for the archer to get an arrow on target. At least a handful of details that add up to achieve forgiveness.

    I have the Remedy and the Enkore. I’ve noticed that I can feel a touch of lateral wobble when I bring the Remedy to full draw. The Enkore locks in more firmly with less of that feeling. I’m wondering if that’s due to the different geometry. I have standard mods on order for the Enkore. Both great bows.

    Great video once again. Just started shooting a new to me Elite Revol, good friend of mine just passed it down to me. I noticed arrow tail wobble yesterday if my grip was not exactly the same. Just as you were mentioning. Arrows seemed to fly fine out of my Bowtech specialist 2. Any advice? The arrows I have are GT hunters cut to 31” for my 31” DL, 100 grains up front and 3 fletch AAE max hunters with no wrap. Thanks love the channel.

    The brace height it is a mythology. The time it takes of the arrow to get off the bow is soooooooooooooo short that 2 inches plus or minus will do nothing. But one thing the long brace height dose it gives a longer lever from the handle to the cams. This on the other hand makes your bow more stable because torqueing the bow now it requires more effort from your hand so it will make the bow more accurate. With the longer brace height it is harder for a muscle twitches to be transferred to the cams because now the torque required to move them is higher since the distance from handle to cams is longer for the same draw length.

    If I could only have 1 bow to shoot everyday and to shoot league would you say a 33-34 ata bow 6 3/8 brace hunting bow be good for that purpose. You think with enough practice I can hang with the semi pro at the gator cup with my hunting bow?

  • @scottpomygalski6078
    @scottpomygalski6078 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry if this is a very basic question, when you are adjusting a Kure type Elite, you have to do adjustments to both cams, right? Also, what are your thoughts on taking a bow like that into the woods, can you put a camo cloth over the limbs to camo it?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      Always adjust both cams regardless of the bow.
      Don't paint or add cloth. Just shoot as is!

    What arrow do you shoot for hunting? With my Z7 I had several shops tell me I should be shooting the 400 spine with 2inch vanes, Told them all I found that bow for me liked 340 spine and 4 inch vanes. But that was gold tip xt hunters in both.

      60#/31"
      31" 300 Spine Standard diameter arrow (Sirius Supernova, Victory Gamer, or Gold Tip XT Hunter)
      Stock insert.
      125 Grain point.

      Average weight around 475-490.

      I’ve shot the gold tip hunter or hunter xt for over 20 years. 28.5 inch arrow 300-340 spine depending on bow and availability 60# 27dl. Lighted nock with stock insert. They do well for me. I’ve shot from 85 thunderheads to 160gr landshark over the years currently 100 may go 125 in future

      @@saulgood6190 that was when I first got the bow and since then I have turned the draw weight down to 60 or so and the arrow rest has been changed so it is possible that the 400 spine may shoot fine now. I have some still around the house I think. May try them one day and see how they do.

    Is there anything specifically that causes one arrow to be more or less forgiving than another?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can be a variety of things. Anecdotally, an arrow that weighs less than 7GPI for me starts to get more fickle. Not impossible by any means, but more fickle. Also larger diameter arrows, especially in the elements, tend to behave differently. The same has been true in the inverse. An arrow over 9.5GPI starts to get fickle, and microdiameters that are pushed on their spine limits behave differently.

      @@averagejackarchery Reflex, like the grip to limb bolt ratio. I just recently learned that is why target bow risers are pretty much straight. Was wondering if that is something you look at as far as forgiveness?
