Hi Jan, lol, a cough drop 😂 it did sound quite comical, but you’ll be pleased to know Martin has fixed the klaxon 😃 The canals are only around 3ft deep, occasionally deeper, but often much shallower, so you should theoretically be able to stand up. However, with most of the canals now, CRT do not dredge them often enough, and because there is no natural flow or current, thick silt has built up on the canal bed. This was the issue we had, as Martin couldn’t stand down, it was like quick sand and so luckily used the bank and the gunnels of the boat to steady himself. You can of course still swim in 3ft of water and a life ring would help in that situation, but mostly life rings are used for deeper rivers. Some of the canals are getting very overgrown and are not maintained as they used to be, it all comes down to money unfortunately. CRT is a charity, and government cuts have reduced their income, so they concentrate on keeping the structures like locks etc working, but often the vegetation is neglected. Moorings are not trimmed anymore, they just keep a path clear for walkers/cyclists etc, so more often than not, when we moor up we have to get our own garden shears out to clear the edges. Thank you for your lovely comments Jan! xx
What a lovely cruise. That section of the Grand Union looks very pretty and peaceful. And wow!. Lucky to get your phone back Martin! And thanks for the ice cream recipe Julie. It looks very similar to the one my mother used for us when we were kids...60-odd years ago! Thanks again guys.

Hi guys, such a peaceful and relaxing trip, except for that noisy factory that is. Gosh seeing Martin in that mud reminded me of when my brothers and I went boating in the 1970s with our boat Mowers ark. We set off from the boat ramp at 6am and had a successful day of fishing we were out for most of the day. But, someone forgot to check the tides and when we attempted to come back to the ramp the tide had gone out. We were lucky we made it back to the ramp some poor buggers got beached and had to wait for the tide to come in again to re float there boats. As we approached the ramp we noticed the concrete of the ramp stopped and there was six foot of grey sand or silt in between the concrete and where the water stopped. My brother jumped expecting to land on a firm surface but sank down to his knees in the most fowl smelling grey sludge YUK. He said he thought he wasn't going to stop sinking for a second. We had to try and drag him out and he finally got his legs out. His shoes were another story they came off when he pulled his legs out and are probably still there today from 50 years ago🤣🤣. Martin was lucky that his phone still worked and brilliant idea using the rope to hoist himself out, and bonus finding the phone in all that muck. I love your adventures thanks for taking us all along with you. Stay safe.👍🏻👍🏻❤
Hi Geoff, what a great memory, thank you for sharing it with us, your brother was very lucky! We literally didn’t think about how Martin was going to get out until he tried to, thankfully Martin came up with that idea! So so pleased you are enjoying our videos, thank you so much Geoff! xx
Hi Carol, although they went the other side of the bridge, they still came the same way as us, we have actually met up with them a few times, such a lovely couple! Thanks Carol xx
Love the moorings at Flecknoe. Our fave is just b4 bridge 103. Really lovely footpath through the fields and to the village over the bridge, just incase u go that way again! Glad Martin is ok, ingenious way to get out! All the best to you. Kerry and Colin NB Time to Pootle x
Hi Kerry, a few people have said bridge 103, well remember that for next time 👍 Martin’s good in a crisis, he can usually find a way to sort things 😃 xx
Hello from Germany, congratulation that you rescued the phone. It's good that the newer phones are waterprove. Martin had the good idea getting out of the canal. We renewed our plank-ladder at crick. We thought about getting out of the water before . See you on the cut in August. Best wishes from Sabine and Friday with Friendship Penkenna
Hi Sabina & Friday, lovely to hear from you again! Martin was very lucky to find his phone and for it to still be working, but getting out was certainly a worry, thankfully Martin came up with that rope trick and managed to get out. There was so much silt on the canal bed, that Martin couldn’t put his weight down, so could have been very dangerous. It’s a shame that CRT don’t seem to dredge the canals as they used to. Thank you so much and yes, see you out on the cut soon! xx
Hi Donna, yes it was certainly an experience, more so getting out of the canal, but thankfully Martin’s good idea with the rope worked ok! Glad you enjoyed it this week, thanks Donna! xx
Martin was lucky he wasn't on his own, hope he's ok. The ice cream looked nice I hope it tasted good 😊 not sure how far up your coming but some of the canals up north are really lovely. x
Hi Helen, the ice cream is delicious, hope you get to try the recipe, it’s better than shop bought! 😃 We’re hoping to come up to the Anderton boat lift and the Weaver, but not sure after that hope we get to see you one day! Thanks Helen! xx
Hi Julie and Martin Many narrow boaters, who do videos on You Tube, have mentioned about losing their phones to the canals. Most do recover them in one manner or another. I guess you guys are now honorary narrow boaters. You might know Danny and Joe who have a channel, well they found that Amazon has phone covers which float. Might be worth looking into to prevent future mishaps. So glad to hear that all ended well for you Martin. Mark Alberta, Canada
Hi Mark, thank you for that tip, we know of Danni & Joe, but haven’t met them yet, we’ll definitely look into that! Lol re honorary boaters 😂 hopefully we never need to go into the water again 🤪 Thank you so much Mark xx
Great tip to get out of the cut! I've taken note! I hired from Calcutt in May & they were fantastic & did the lock for us. Phew! Glad Martin is OK after going for a dip! My fave part of that stretch is just by B103, so lovely with the will trees! Q: I saw you were going to moor up but there were ants, is there nothing that can be done or will they infest your boat?! (feeling itchy just thinking about it!!!) x
Hiya, thank you, so glad you enjoyed this video. If there are too many ants we move on, as yes, they can run up your mooring lines and get into your boat. However, we have now bought a pest spray for ants so we can now spray that to keep them off of our boat. Thank you! xx
That looks a nasty experience Martin. Why don’t you keep a small rope ladder handy? Or is that a silly idea? Glad you are ok! Loved the look of that ice cream. 🎉
Hiya, it certainly was an experience! We don’t have a rope ladder and believe it or not they are quite difficult to use, but we are looking into something else. Thank you so much! xx
I think I'd prefer the weather where you are. Just like last year, we're hitting 90 degrees(32c) or higher every day, and August, our hottest month, is yet to come. Still loving the high level content. Thanks
Oh wow, sounds like you’re in for another scorcher of a summer! Our weather is still changeable, some days hot, some rainy, or windy, but that’s England for you lol 😜 Thank you so much for your lovely comment! xx
Hiya, no you definitely wouldn’t swim in the canals, the water is not clean enough, there’s no natural flow or current like much cleaner rivers. We didn’t even think about how Martin would get out until he tried, and because he couldn’t put his feet down due to the immense silt build up, it at first seemed impossible. Thankfully Martin came up with the rope idea and all was good, he’s a clever old thing isn’t he! Thank you so much! xx
So glad Martin managed to get back out of the canal safely. That must have been a horrible experience for you all. The new canal looks beautiful - I hope it didn’t rain all the time you were there though!! It’s literally rained all day here today. So miserable this summer!! Hope you enjoy the ‘heatwave’ we are due to get this weekend - stay safe and have fun xx
Hi Mishka, yes, it was quite worrying at the time, but Martin’s quick thinking worked perfectly thank goodness! Hopefully it looks as though the weather has at last brightened up 😃 Thank you so much xx
Hay Julie and Martin, fantastic video as always and some beautiful scenery along the way. Martin well done retrieving the phone out of the water, that was impressive. Hope you are having a wonderful week, lots of love and best wishes for a wonderful weekend, hopefully it will be sunny! ☀️
Hi Edward, thank you so much, Martin did well didn’t he. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend after a long day cruising and locking today! Have a lovely weekend too Edward! xx

Really enjoyed the video today. I love that beautiful purple plant that you came across bad the phone is OK thanks for making my force time and bed going better.
Wow Martin did well to get that phone, good advice re the rope loop to get out. Ive got a fishing landing net on an ali pole on my boat, i might have tried that first, dunno if it would work, its fairly solid and is easy to store. Im always scared of dropping stuff off the roof, maybe a storage pouch on the bulkhead would work, but we all use our phones all the time
Hi Chris, yes Martin was so lucky to find the phone in all that silt too, and getting out using the rope was a great idea! Someone has mentioned a phone case that floats, haven’t had a chance to look it up yet though lol. Thanks Chris! xx
We are heading towards you over the next week or so; will keep our eyes peeled! I realise this video is from a few weeks ago so will watch for you as we pass through Birmingham early next week

Hi Nicholas, thankfully Martin has fixed the hooter, so it’ll be back to normal lol. Yes, it was a bit worrying when we realised Martin couldn’t get out, but that loop no with the rope worked perfectly! Thank you so much Nicholas xx
Glad Martin is alright, though I suspect his socks may be forfeit. Do they ever dredge or clean out the canal silt/bottoms? It seems to me that that might be a suitable endeavor for an enterprising individual.
Hi Brent, lol, Martin’s socks were thrown away, they were beyond washing! 🤣 Unfortunately, CRT don’t appear to have the funds to dredge the canals as they should be, so some of the canals are quite shallow with all the silt build up. Thanks Brent! xx
@@JulieandMartinonRIB Thanks for the reply. Good move on the socks! I imagine the rich soil / silt could be repurposed to potting soil or farm land somewhere. Sold in bags as "Historic Sock Claimers' Paydirt" to pay for the clean up. LOL. Sooner or later, it'll have to happen if they are filling up that much. Of course, I realize we are talking about quite a bit of time between their build up and today. Anyways, till next video. Be safe.

Yes, the hooters do need to be loud! We have sorted out one now and in future videos you will see it is very loud now lol 😂 When I’m filming at from the front of the boat and it goes off, it often makes me jump, but when editing I have to lower the sound for TH-cam so you can never really hear how loud it is. Also, as it is so loud, I think Martin is sometime worried that he’ll upset people on the bank lol, he has started to sound the horn longer now, hopefully you’ll see that. Thank you so much Colin! xx
Lovely journey!!! But I noticed that other boaters don't seem to understand your ooogah horn for what it is, and they don't reply. not just this episode. Perhaps a more traditional, higher pitched horn would be better? Looking very forward to all the new canals!!!!! Cheers from Florida.
Yes, we are starting to wonder if we should change, but it is only recently that people don’t hear it and even when they do, they don’t seem to bother to hoot back! 🤷♀️ It amazes us how many boaters don’t sound their horns when approaching junctions and blind bends/bridges. Thank yo7 so much for your kind words xx
Hi Julie, considering what happened to Martins phone, I thought you might have been a bit more wary about where you put your walkie talkie. It looked rather precarious sitting on the cratch board 🙂35:07. The number of times I've put something on there, spanners, tools etc, and they have got knocked off, plop.... By the way, a standard windlass should operate those locks. I'm not sure what a go windlass is? A ratchet one? Keep the entertainment coming, you guys are great.
Yes you’re right Dave, I lost a walkie talkie from that very spot and I don’t usually put it there now. I had been holding it and only put it there briefly while I did that little piece to camera. Won’t happen again 😊 My Go Windlass is a ratchet one and I’ve really missed using it, but like you said, our other regular windlasses were fine, although I had trouble getting the windlass off of the spindle, it kept getting stuck! Probably just me lol 😜 Thank you so much Dave, so pleased you’re enjoying our little videos xx
@@JulieandMartinonRIB Not you Julie. I had the same problem with those locks. A bit embarassing sometimes when you have to resort to a hammer to get your windlass back 🙂
Hi guys Nice video again , apart from the poor editing of Nikki in the lock 😢😢😢 , the two boat that didn’t hear your horn were they not also supposed to sound their horn coming to an obstructed view regardless of your horn , and if they already had you/ we didn’t hear it , what is the correct etiquette for us land lubbers who want to know , Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭
Hi Davy, yes, the other boats should have sounded their horns, but it seems that a lot of boaters don’t bother now. Even when boats do hear us, they are supposed to sound a horn back, but they don’t do that either, we’ll keep doing it though! Not sure what you mean about poor editing of Nikki? 🤔 Thank you so much Davy! xx
Hi Sandy, yes, the speed limit is 3mph or 4mph depending on which canal you are on. We tend to travel between 2 and 3mph. You’ll be pleased to know that Martin has fixed the hooter too 😃 Thank you! xx
Hi Gerard, not for canals, there’s no need, as the water is only around 3-4 feet deep and the water is still. You need them for rivers, as they have currents, so the water is flowing and often a lot deeper. Thank you xx
Hi Brent! No, Nikki’s not related to us, she’s our good friend. We’re just cruising together for a short while, especially through the double locks, as she is a single hander, so makes sense for us to share the locks. We’ll be parting ways soon. Thank you so much! xx

Hi Neil, we’re loving the new waters, lots of lovely views and lots of locks lol 😝 Hope you get to try the ice cream recipe, it really tastes better than shop bought ice cream, it’s delicious! Thank you so much Neil! xx
So so pleased you are enjoying our videos, thank you so much Geoff! xx
That was amazing when Martin went in straight on to his phone, picked it out with his feet 😊 great team ❤ what a pretty cruise 😊 stay safe ❤❤
Yes, it really was, thanks matey! xx ❤️
Bless you IV just watched boat time and they were just leaving braunston but they went down the other side bridge . Take care.
Hi Carol, although they went the other side of the bridge, they still came the same way as us, we have actually met up with them a few times, such a lovely couple! Thanks Carol xx
OMG Martin, the Olympic swimmer 😂 Well done Chap, well done!
Lol Randy! He did well considering! Thank you! xx
I always thought it meant man struggling with umbrella( the men at work sign) 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 haha that made us chuckle! xx
Hello from Germany,
congratulation that you rescued the phone.
Thank you so much and yes, see you out on the cut soon! xx
The scent from the trees is Lime Blossom
Oh wow, thank you Elaine, I’ll have to remember that, the smell was gorgeous! Thank you! xx
What a fantastic vlog, I can’t wait to share the new waters with you! That was really a close call for Martin, glad he and the phone were ok. 🤗❤️
Thanks Helen! xx
That was a lovely looking boat you were alongside when you mentioned filling up with water(3:35) with the rivets along the hull 😃
Hi Shane, yes that was a nice looking boat! Thank you! xx
Hi Julie and Martin
Many narrow boaters, who do videos on You Tube, have mentioned about losing their phones to the canals. Most do recover them in one manner or another. I guess you guys are now honorary narrow boaters. You might know Danny and Joe who have a channel, well they found that Amazon has phone covers which float. Might be worth looking into to prevent future mishaps. So glad to hear that all ended well for you Martin.
Mark
Alberta, Canada
Thank you so much! xx
Love ice cream. Thank God for ropes: Martin got out of that milk. Love watching y'll.
Hi Terry, hope you get to try the ice cream, it’s delicious! Martin’s idea with the rope was brilliant! Thank you Terry! xx
you guys make it all look so easy thanks for a great video
Aww that’s a lovely thing to say, thank you David! xx
I think I'd prefer the weather where you are. Just like last year, we're hitting 90 degrees(32c) or higher every day, and August, our hottest month, is yet to come. Still loving the high level content. Thanks
Oh wow, sounds like you’re in for another scorcher of a summer! Our weather is still changeable, some days hot, some rainy, or windy, but that’s England for you lol 😜 Thank you so much for your lovely comment! xx
Great video, so happy everyone is safe. I never realized that the narrow boats do not have ladders. But then you don’t swim in the channels.
Have a lovely weekend too Edward! xx
Great content. Beautiful scenery & sharing. I especially liked the ice cream story 😄
Hiya, thank you for your lovely comment, please try the ice-cream, it’s delicious, you won’t want shop bought again! 😜 Thank you! xx
Julie glad Martin recovered his phone 👍have you not got some small stepping plate at stern just under the water line, our builder said we had to have them, might be a recent change in build requirements
Chris & Angiexx
Hi Chris, no, we don’t have that, maybe it wasn’t a requirement twenty years ago 🤷♀️ good idea though 👍 Hope you’re both well xx
@@JulieandMartinonRIB Yes we are good, I liked Martin’s solution, plus I took note about going in with socks on, gives that extra bit of protection 👍xx
Yes, unfortunately the socks ended up in the bin, but a small price to pay against what could have happened. Thanks Chris! xx
Hi guys
Lovely vlog your ice cream looked really tasty. Glad it all worked out well for Martin's phone there's a old saying
Watercan be a good friend but can bite you in the bum at the same time
You both take care and stay safe. 👍👍🛕
Hi Ronald, the ice cream is delicious, hope you get to try it, you’ll never buy shop bought again! Yes, water does need to be respected, but having an exit plan for if you ever have the need to go in is essential, as we found out! Thanks Ronald! xx
I am going to try making the ice cream. The good news is I will have it all to.myself because my husband is diabetic. So glad Marting got out ok.
Ooh please let us know what you think to the ice cream, we think it tastes better than shop bought, and lucky you having it all to yourself! Thanks Judith xx
Lovely views today , great photography. Where are your precious dogs? Beautiful umbrella. Enjoy the journey, stay safe.
In regard to where are your dogs. I think in you’re thinking of Pete and Caroline’s dogs on a different channel. ❤
Hiya, thank you for your lovely compliments, we love showing the views and getting some lovey photos, it’s so nice to receive comments like this. Glad you liked my brolly too 😃 We don’t have any dogs, I think you must be thinking of our friends. Thank you so much! xx
Your boat is so quiet not like those old bangers😂😂
Aww thank you, Martin really looks after the engine! xx
Really enjoyed the video today. I love that beautiful purple plant that you came across bad the phone is OK thanks for making my force time and bed going better.
Hi Bette, yes that plant was so pretty standing proud amongst the others. So pleased you’re enjoying our videos, hope you’re feeling better soon xx
Great vlog Guys. Martin you done so well getting out of the canal 😂xxx
Hi Glen, he really did didn’t he, thank you so much! xx
Hiya, we still haven’t got to Birmingham yet, so chances are you will overtake us lol 😂 Hopefully we may see you soon! xx
@@JulieandMartinonRIB which way are you heading in?
We are coming from Wolverhampton to Gas Street then down Farmers to the GU then down to Hatton.
Will give you a wave if we see you!
We’re coming in the opposite direction, we’re at the top of Hatton at the moment, so we should definitely see you. Remind me of your boat name? We’ll look out for you! xx
@@JulieandMartinonRIB good to know we’ll see you, even if only in passing.
We are on Karma, 40ft narrowboat. Well watch for you.
Cheers, Alan
Ditto, we’ll keep a look out! xx
Great Vlog again, so enjoy your videos. Is Nicki going along with you to Birmingham or is she eventually going to do her own thing at some point?
Hi Andrew, yes, Nikki will be going her own way, we’re going through Birmingham together with the double locks so makes sense, but at some point we will part ways. She’s a good friend and good company. Thanks you so much, really pleased you’re enjoying our little videos! Thanks Andrew! xx
Love the video and the scenery. You and Martin are so cute when talking. And can't wait to see the new canel route you'll be traveling 😊
Hi Margaret, thank you, so pleased you enjoyed this one! xx
Hi i love watching your adventures. My name is Leon from Australia.
Hi Leon, so lovely to have you with us all the way from Australia, thank you so much! xx
Another great one, you guys! How on earth do you keep your narrowboat SO clean? It’s always spotless!
Hiya! Martin checks the boat over most mornings and uses a leather to wipe it over and always removes bird poop and leaves as they damage your paintwork, he really looks after it. Thank you for your lovely compliment! xx
@ I’ll reach out once I get my boat for the resource! Keep the great vlogs coming!
Yes, please do, and good luck with your boat, keep us posted! xx
The retrieval of your phone was quite a feet, love watching your video hope to see you on the canal soon, boat should be completed soon.
Oh wow, bet you can’t wait Trevor, hope we get to meet up on the cut soon! Thank you so much! xx
Glad Martin is safe.
Thank you so much Malcolm! xx
Lovely vlog thanks DEBBIE & Paul nb Lady in red ❤ Barton marina.
Aww thank you Debbie & Paul, so pleased you enjoyed it! xx
Great vlog views and sound this week yes funny hooters this week sounds like water need to put something over them not moving funny Martin going in water but not funny as if you and nicky was not there he could have been hurt phones can be replaced Martin cannot and I sure people are deaf two boats not hearing your horn stay safe guys
Be safe.
good vlog cranking it on the cut keep up the cool vlogs
Aww thanks Lee xx
Not once on any canal related channel have I heard anyone return a blast on the horn but there’s always a boat coming
I know, it’s quite frustrating when other boaters don’t hoot when approaching a junction, or blind bridge or bend 🤷♀️ xx
If you enjoy our videos and would like to support our channel, you can buy us a coffee here, just click on the link, bmc.link/JulieandMartin Thank you so much, it means a lot to us ❤️
Yes you have a thick brick bridge and distance i think a better louder horn is going to help. Forgive me but your horn is not loud enough thanks 😊
Thank yo7 so much for your kind words xx
well done maerin danger man
Haha, he is isn’t he! 😂xx
😊
Aww thank you Marriette xx
its strange doing gardens sunshine then rain then its dull and its not normail for july i agree with you its just shite
Yes, just can’t rely on the weather, we try to ignore it now haha 😝 xx
Won’t happen again 😊
My Go Windlass is a ratchet one and I’ve really missed using it, but like you said, our other regular windlasses were fine, although I had trouble getting the windlass off of the spindle, it kept getting stuck! Probably just me lol 😜
Thank you so much Dave, so pleased you’re enjoying our little videos xx
@@JulieandMartinonRIB Not you Julie. I had the same problem with those locks. A bit embarassing sometimes when you have to resort to a hammer to get your windlass back 🙂
Lol, I didn’t think of using a hammer, but it was ridiculous at times, so can’t wait for single locks again! 😃 xx
its another world
Thanks Derek! xx
Hi guys
Nice video again , apart from the poor editing of Nikki in the lock 😢😢😢 , the two boat that didn’t hear your horn were they not also supposed to sound their horn coming to an obstructed view regardless of your horn , and if they already had you/ we didn’t hear it , what is the correct etiquette for us land lubbers who want to know ,
Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭
Hi Davy, yes, the other boats should have sounded their horns, but it seems that a lot of boaters don’t bother now. Even when boats do hear us, they are supposed to sound a horn back, but they don’t do that either, we’ll keep doing it though! Not sure what you mean about poor editing of Nikki? 🤔
Thank you so much Davy! xx
Love the vlog well done editing quite professional 👍 ps your hooter sounds like it needs some wd40 😅
Hi Steve, thank you for a lovely compliment, so nice to hear! Oh, and you’ll be pleased to know that Martin has now fixed the hooter 😜 Thank you! xx

Aww thank you so much! xx

Oh ok, well look out for them xx
Heya Julie, is there not a speed limit on the canal..
Martin, you really gotta get a new hooter. The ones you got are awful 😂
Hi Sandy, yes, the speed limit is 3mph or 4mph depending on which canal you are on. We tend to travel between 2 and 3mph. You’ll be pleased to know that Martin has fixed the hooter too 😃 Thank you! xx
Hi all perhaps you should use the drone to see your way lol 😊
Lol, does make you wonder how loud our hooter needs to be before people hear it 😂 Thanks Jim! xx

Lol Scott, yes wrinkle free would be good, but thank goodness we’re waterproof 😂😂🤣 Thanks Scott! xx

Aww thank you! ☺️ xx
Had a workman at our home yesterday, who was born and raised in Essex. He move to East Tennessee 13 years ago.
Comment earlier when I had just started the vlog. What a adventure! Glad Martin is a makedo kind of guy!
Wow, what a difference from Essex to Tennessee! xx
Yes, it really was an experience and Martin is always very good in a crisis, he usually comes up with an idea to get things sorted! Thank you! xx
Yes your horn isn't working right. Doesn't have a good sound system, Strangled, check out
No lol, but not to worry, Martin has now fixed it! Thanks Margaret! xx
I think you need a new hooter that is loud and clear
Hi Ted, Martin has now fixed it, so it sounds much better now, thank you! xx
Life jackets floating aids should be used on the water.
Hi Gerard, not for canals, there’s no need, as the water is only around 3-4 feet deep and the water is still. You need them for rivers, as they have currents, so the water is flowing and often a lot deeper. Thank you xx
Is Nicki related to Julie and Martin
Hi Brent! No, Nikki’s not related to us, she’s our good friend. We’re just cruising together for a short while, especially through the double locks, as she is a single hander, so makes sense for us to share the locks. We’ll be parting ways soon. Thank you so much! xx
Martin get one of these horns then there will be no excuse for other boats not hearing you. th-cam.com/video/OdwZjiqEG6M/w-d-xo.html 🤣🤣
Haha 😂😂 that should do it, other boaters might just hear us then! 😂 Thanks Ian! xx
they must be deaf if they didnt here that
I know, it’s amazing, and they didn’t hoot either! 🤷♀️xx

Great advice about getting in canal and can't get out, love the vlogs not your hooter♥️♥️🤣🤣
Lol, strangulated fart! 😂😂 You’ll be pleased to know that Martin has fixed the klaxon and it’s now working properly. Yes we literally didn’t think how Martin was going to get out until he tried to, and because he couldn’t put any weight down due to there being so much silt, it really was a problem. Luckily Martin thought of the rope thing and he got out. It’s one of those things that you just don’t think of until it’s too late. Thank you so much Jean! xx
