This is so far by a landslide the best video he has done. He was more aware. More engaged. He has lost weight but still I think he looks fairly good. The voices didn’t bother him as much as the previous videos did. I hope he does connect with his dad. The problem is he can agree and then minutes later disagree. I wish he and his family well.

I didn't even recognize him. That is how much he has deteriorated from 2 years ago, since his last interview. His head-scratching & nose-picking were so distracting. So sad...such drastic change from his first interview. I hope he gets help...whether it's an agency on skid row...or if he allows his Dad back into his life...he definitely needs some sort of support. & Most importantly...to get back onto his meds & off the street drugs.

I’ve dealt with schizophrenia during a psychotic break… I have never dealt with it in my life besides that time which was just a couple months ago. I feel your pain and my thoughts were so dark that I was so disturbed I couldn’t even bring myself to tell anybody what they were saying, but the voices are gone and I never had to take medication for a long period of time… Jesus healed me, and I know this for a fact. I don’t know if you believe in Jesus or not but I wanted to give you hope . I binge watched Kathryn krick on TH-cam .. she does deliverances and she is amazing !!! I strongly recommend watching her deliverance videos if you are open to that . I believe that these voices are demons… You just need to be set free. I spent months begging Jesus for freedom from the hell I was in .. he answered and I’m 100
      Percent healed today .

The police can take him in and ask him if he feels he is a threat to himself or other people,if he says no, they have to let him go. Crazy people have rights too. It's an interesting debate,on the one hand, you're taking drastic action to do what you know is best for the person in an attempt to save their life and on the other hand in a free society we have to protect people's. civil liberties and automatically over their own life even if it's self destructive. If a homeless person is sleeping outside in twenty degree weather should the police force him against his will into a shelter or should he have the freedom to freeze to death?

Thank-you for your spotlight on mental illness. It is rough for people who have it and equally rough for their family members. Sadly the stigma never goes away. No one can accept it as part of their, our humanity. Before he died, my son Jantzen's best friend suffered from Schizophrenia. I met him several times with Jantzen. I told him he was the same as us as everybody but he was better because he accepted help. He was so affected by Jantzen's death, he could not come to the funeral. Jantzen was killed while biking by a negligent driver. I know this is not a popular thought, but I think we all have some mental illness. I actually think this has contributed to the rise of religiosity - or why religions exist to control the narrative or explanation for mental illness. Acceptance is key. Getting help is key. Getting help should not have such a negative connotation about it. We all need help at different points.

@@southphillylilly I understand your point. Cancer and Diabetes are currently not used as control factors by outside influencers (such as religion) for the people who suffer them. Mental illness still is used as a control factor by outside influencers. That is why I brought it up.
