Out of all the interviews I’ve watched this has got to be the most heart breaking one. Im 21 and complain about shit going on in my life but seeing this definitely makes me more grateful for my problems. I really hope he gets better. Sad world
I'm 22, and complain about my job every day, but still get up at 530 every morning. Watching these makes me greatful. A lot of us really don't know how good we have it.
This young man is broken. You can see it in his eyes and hear his words. This is heartbreaking to know these children were let down from parents and the system. Hopefully they’re both able to get themselves clean.
Dear God, please help this young man and his girlfriend get out of this lifestyle. Please let someone come across their path to witness your love to them. In Jesus's name. Amen
Broke my heart when he said he comes back with the money and his girlfriend is happy and smiling, but he’s broken inside and feels like he lost his manhood due to the things he had to agree to do in exchange for some funds. Just sad you can see how much he’s putting himself through to support the both of them on the row 😕
I used to work for the state. We handled all Medicaid, food stamps, CPS, etc. His story is extremely common for those in the foster care system. Majority of people adopting these kids would only be for the checks. One they got to be an adult they would immediately be thrown out and that 18 year old would be in our offices asking for help. Such a cruel system. My heart goes out to this kid but there's fight in him. I can definitely see him getting back on his feet. Stay up kid, don't let those pigs grind you down. God bless.
If you worked for the state, you know that foster care isn’t the same as adopting. You also know that people who work for the state decide who becomes foster parents, and who adopts. Kids in foster care in most states age out and lose their foster homes, even while they’re still in high school.

I just want to hug him and his girlfriend and tell them it’ll all be ok and I hate that I can’t even help them being all the way in the other side of the country Ugh stupid tears
Don't let yourself get stuck in that time. The circumstances we are in are a moment in time. We can take them, learn from them, grow from them and use them to strive to be the best version of ourself today and tomorrow. Don't let it define you. So many of us become stuck in our tragedies and they keep us from moving forward. Transcend the pain and hardship. The choices and decisions from yesterday don't have to be the ones we make tomorrow. This goes for all people who aren't proud of decisions, choices, or circumstances put upon us. Good luck to you and hugs.
Your tears are not stupid. Everyone hurts and cries. It is a way of releasing pain or whatever the case may be. I pray things are better for you in Jesus' name. Amen.

So many strikes against both of them ... why bring a child into such a difficult situation? You can be a good person and still be an addict who makes really bad descions. A child is not going to fix your problems or relationship. Very sad situation.

I'm only half way through but have to say he seems to have a heart of gold for someone who has endured such soul destroying events. I hope he can pull himself and his wee family out of this and enjoy the life he deserves.
My God. This is one of the hardest ones to listen to for me ever. Imagining a person taking advantage of this guy in those ways instead of just giving him money or help or whatever out of the kindness of their heart.... We live amongst real monsters.
They are not taking advantage of the guy he's offering a service they paying him simple as that same for female prostitutes I'm sure half of them do t like doing it either moral of story is drugs make people do things they do t want to do because the getting high feeling out weighs any thing else even self respect
God and the devil are almost indecipherable in this world. Good and evil are not separate from one another. They are part of the same system. We must embrace them both or lose them both. This young man can create better days in his future if he chooses to do so. Unfortunately, it is not always easy to break the negative spiral patterns that we have grown accustomed to, especially if we lack awareness of being in such patterns. He could realize that he is in such a pattern, and then turn around and focus on consciously choosing a new pattern, but it is hard. Resistance is the source of all suffering. Only by choosing to allow himself to heal and then taking steps toward healing, will the pattern ever break. I pray that he finds awareness and chooses a path toward healing. I pray that he finds the strength to believe that he is worthy of redemption, and that he deserves better.
@@ultraultra6726 I agree strongly with everything you said except the first sentence. While being part of deal we're faced with in life, (embrace or lose both), the two are as decipherable as heads is from tails. As in you'd never even once mistake one for the other unless there were something wrong with you. I suppose that's the non-moral relativist point of view, but I think it's less potentially dangerous to never mistake the two, or do your best not to anyway.
@@RichardOrchard-ih2rx you haven't yet recognized the truth; there is but one, and you are part of it. Nothing is separate from god. If so, it is not separate from that which it is made from... there is only one. Ik onkar.
I don't think a baby is the answer. I never heard of anyone who can't move at 2 months pregnant, going to the bathroom on themselves. Another baby brought into addiction on the streets is a heartbreaking scenario.
I find this one of the most heart-breaking interviews to watch ~ Not sure why they feel compelled to keep this child - focus on getting yourselves to a better place.
@@JuggernautKickboxing Their morals aren't in the right order though. (Parent-up and keep the baby=good morals, sure...but being homeless, doing drugs and all that other BS that comes with it is not good morals at all...and to bring a child into that? Damn) that's just bad. See what I'm saying?
@@JuggernautKickboxing the child will be born addicted to drugs right out of the gate, conditions for childbirth likely not optimal and while in the womb the stress and turmoil of the mother's surroundings will impact the baby even before birth. Then, the child ends up in foster care and the generational trauma continues .... IMHO a really low score on morality. And what is so heart-breaking is that he really has a decent and kind soul.
Damn, This was a real interview. Angel you are very strong and very articulate. You will get through this man. The Courage and vulnerability in the video is very commendable.
Sorry darlin’ but your girlfriend should not be having a child while on drugs and turning tricks. It's just not fair to bring a child into this world with two addicted parents. Please reconsider! 🤦♀️
That's so sad! The only moments he spent with his mom, when they laughed and felt a connection, they were doing drugs, and yet he cherishes these memories like the most precious of his whole life. I feel for this lost soul so much, he must have gone through hell: prostitution, violence, loneliness. Heartbreaking
Despite all he has been through. You can tell he has a big heart. The way he empathizes with people using pipes without knowing that it's filled with deadly fentanyl, and his deceased friends. Not to mention he took care of his mother who was also an addict. You are only 21, bless your heart. Get out of this and break the cycle, you are to become a dad. Takes me back to working as an emergency nurse in Oakland, California. The first intravenous (IV, shooting up, needle users) heroin user I met in Oakland was 8 weeks pregnant. Man, Angel breaks my heart. I haven't watched the interview with his girlfriend, yet, but I'm guessing she didn't have anyone to teach her how life should be. I'm sure neither one of them are at all prepared to take care of an innocent little baby. It rips me to pieces to see Angel obviously feeling love for his child and his girl friend and a desire to care for both of them when he literally has no idea how to do either of those things. Life is so unfair. I hope and pray somehow, someway, Angel and his girlfriend and their unborn child escape this life on the streets and the drugs that hold them prisoner. 😔 Thank you for doing these interviews, Mark. @@cherrygirl64 So many of these young people live in total unreality. Two people who have no jobs (beyond prostituting themselves for drug money), no place to live, and are heavily addicted to hard drugs are simply not going to just make it all work out so that they can be stable and loving parents to this baby, who is likely going to be born addicted to crack. Does no one remember all the "crack babies" born in the 90's and how many problems they had? I have to agree with you. This baby will be taken away in the hospital. It would not be a safe discharge. I get that we are rooting for these young people but we also have to face the realities of what happens when they have children that they are endangering before they are even born and have no ability to raise.

Strange relationship. She is pregnant? She turns tricks? He turns tricks? WTH? For drugs... What kind of "relationship" are they trying to have? Not a good time for them to start a family.
It can get real lonely on the streets. These two found eachother because they have a common bond from similar upbringings. Please don’t judge them. They have eachother to love and to hold, something many on the street do not have.
Mister Big brain over here, ofc it’s not ideal for them but they’re addicts living on streets, why are you expecting them to have a normal sorted out life
“If we want to change it we have to understand it” - Mark Latia. 💯 I’m almost 2 years clean off Fentanyl… I did it silently by myself & only after that my family started to talk to me again. Such a heartbreaking situation all the way around... the addiction, the prostitution, the pregnancy and what that child will be put through. I sure hope they can get clean and have the life they all deserve. I'll be praying for them.
The state will take that baby immediately!!!! And in this case it’s more than needed !! No home and both on drugs with no jobs ! And they don’t even know the state WILL take that baby ! The baby is going to suffer the most for these to selfish addicts ! Ever hear a crack baby scream ? Cuz that’s what they do !

Do not have that baby man. Please consider what you can actually do for them and if they’re gonna have a better life than you. I can’t understand how people in these conditions have the courage to put another life on earth just to suffer.
His child will go into the system...and then that child's child will go into the system...and so it goes...our foster system is getting bigger and bigger and worse and worse....this man deserves to be saved.
Shes hungry, pregnant, living on the street, probably with morning sickness, and still turning tricks, all while doing drugs still. Wtf do u mean she shouldnt be so unwell.
My biggest fear is for this unborn child. She is using drugs while pregnant. Prostituting while pregnant as well. How do we know the paternity for certain? This baby isn't asking to come into this. Man......I ask the universe to protect the cycle from continuing with a baby. Someone needs to intervene in regards to the baby. He's a gentle soul but being a parent is the hardest thing you will ever do. xoxo
some people should not procreate! the amount of contradictions coming from this man is evidence of no clear intent beyond that next drug fix. In the end nothing else matters.
Is this young man not a perfect example of the flaws of the system that is supposedly designed to help them. There is so much this young man could have achieved if the support was given. He lives in an ugly world yet he shines with love and integrity- more than the glossy red carpets in Hollywood could ever achieve. Good luck to him and his partner.
Oh my goodness Mark. This story made me cry. They are children lost in addiction. Now she is pregnant another child going into the system. I feel so terrible for them both. I am a mom.
I wish they wouldn't have that baby. She's been using drugs every day for two thirds of the first trimester. That baby is going to be born with terrible pain and sickness. And likely lifelong problems. Very sad.

What a soul. What a beautiful soul. Get off the streets darling heart and dream..you can do anything and be anything you want to be. Be all that you can for your baby, give them all the love you wish you had and don’t look back. The fact the world has not taken your soul is remarkable. Use it! God bless!
When it comes to addiction, one thing I've learned (as a former addict myself) is that we can't expect people to change or get sober because we want them to. Our expectations are just that - ours. And we have to remember that they are under no obligation to fulfill them. Money, food, clothes, or shelter are one thing, but it doesn't really help get to the root of whatever the problem is. However, having good people around you can. Sometimes, even offering a different perspective can lead someone to change their mind, and that can lead them to wanting to change their life. For me personally, meaningful, healthy, and solid relationships with good people can make a WORLD of difference.
My heart absolutely breaks then shatters at listening to this man child speak when I myself have a 20yr old son , how can someone or anyone allow this to happen. Yes I understand I come from a different way of life but as a human who loves life I just can't. If all my tears and prayers could save a single person then I myself could have made a difference, daddy always tells me , punk you can't save the world , my reply is, I will still try.
The depth of this goes so far beyond anything we can touch here... As someone who has experience with addiction I can say definitively go to rehab! It's your only and I mean ONLY WAY UP from where you are... Don't bring another life into your hell... Real love means putting another before yourself doing that right thing wether you want to or not. And fyi being sick for a minute won't kill you but not doing it will be the death of that child.
I wanted to try to say something but couldn't figure out how to say it with compassion. I think you nailed it. He's stuck in the fallacy that he has to do things, and when you're there, it 100% seems real. When he said that he was going to get a job but not quit using it just highlighted that everything he sees as a problem in his life is actually just symptoms of THE actual problem. He doesn't have a money problem.
Heartbreaking interview Mark. I’ll keep Angel and his girlfriend in my prayers. He’s very broken inside and tired I can relate to the emotion of defeat. But, he is God child and deserve love. Angel, please consider going to treatment and work out some of your stuff. I’ve been where you are at. I lived that way for 4 plus years and it’s exhausting. There is hope even when you feel hopeless. My advice get into a program and detox. Find what makes you truly happy and pursue it. Life is to short to stay stuck in suffering. Please don’t take it for granted. I love you brother. I’ll be praying and rooting for you. Much love, happiness, and peace, Caroline
I feel for him and his girlfriend. But at the risk of sounding judgy, they shouldn't have a child. That's just irresponsible and selfish. At least not until they're both completely clean and off the street. They're dooming that child from day one, and it's highly likely that he or she will be born with many health issues and a low chance at survival. So sad. I really hope the best for them and that they get help.
I don’t think you sound judgy at all. While everyone is sympathetic, some even empathetic, to their situation, no one can deny the fact that at this moment in both of their lives they are unfit to be parents. If mom does not stop using baby will be born addicted, with no stable housing, unstable parents & will have no choice but to enter into the system. It genuinely breaks my heart & both him and his gf are kind hearted people who are unfortunately battling addiction. but their main focus should 100% be getting clean for themselves individually, and gaining some stability before bringing a child into this world. It breaks my heart to say this, but the strongest act of love they can do for the child is to not bring it into this world right now.
Oh, so sad, so broken. Terrible lives, even though he, at least, understands that it’s because of the drugs. They won’t be able to keep their baby if she’s on drugs when it’s born. Most likely, too, they’ll never get the child back, if they’re still using. So, another child, or more than one, in foster care, like they were. So horribly sad.

He’s so beautiful to look at and soft I really hope that he find his way out. If you read this, just know that you’re still a man and you’re still worthy you’re just in a desperate situation at the moment, but you can always get out and get away.
The last thing you should do is to bring a child into this world right now.... I know it sounds harsh but this is exactly what not to do in your situation. A child will bring more financial stress and mental stress to you both. It isn't fair for the child either.
What a beautiful idea. Who will take care of their child? The child, will born as an addict, too. It's a totally understandable emotion, but definitely not a responsible decision due to their mental health, physical health and life circumstances

So many strikes against both of them ... why bring a child into such a difficult situation? You can be a good person and still be an addict who makes really bad descions. A child is not going to fix your problems or relationship. Very sad situation.

Everything in creation, or rather, that has been created, is part of its source. If it isn't part of the source of everything, then it doesn't exist. Does the devil exist? If so, it is not separate from that which it is made from... there is only one. Ik onkar.

I don't think a baby is the answer. I never heard of anyone who can't move at 2 months pregnant, going to the bathroom on themselves. Another baby brought into addiction on the streets is a heartbreaking scenario.

I thought I misheard. She needs to go to the emergency room. Prob scared they'll find drugs in her system. I feel for the innocent baby ❤️🩹
I find this one of the most heart-breaking interviews to watch ~ Not sure why they feel compelled to keep this child - focus on getting yourselves to a better place.
Because they have morals
@@JuggernautKickboxing
Their morals aren't in the right order though.

This video brought me to tears. Angel, there is a beautiful life ahead of you. I know you can overcome this.
You are not ready to bring a child in this world.
That's sickening that the baby is likely to be born addicted to crack, and have birth defects and health problems.
Once Angel’s girlfriend has the baby, CPS will take the baby, that will be an eye opener to get them to seek help.
we can only hope CPS takes the baby.
They're absolutely not ready. Not only are they homeless and addicts, they are selling themselves out. They are living the highest risk life out there... We can only hope they use this pregnancy as a way out. But, unfortunately they're two months in and nothing as changed whatsoever... Devine intervention is what is needed...
Yeah right, they won’t give a shit that the baby is gone 😂 they’ll just continue using and forget that baby was ever born
Being pregnant with my first son, this breaks my heart. He is so broken and just wants to do better but no one was there for him. I hope he gets the break he needs and finds a way out. I couldn’t imagine having my son live the life he is, it would kill me inside.

I hope neither of them die before the baby arrives. Mark Laita, you are an "earth angel". Thanks for all that you do. 😍💖😊

The only person my heart is breaking for is that unborn kid. They don’t deserve to be put through this.
should have compassion for the 3 of them else you dont have a heart
@@isobel64 the whole situation is sad. But that kid doesn’t stand a chance. It’s not fair.

So much pain in this young man's eyes. Of all your videos, this one broke my heart. How did we as a human community get to this place?
