I had NO idea the new Queen Anne had messed around with the promenade deck 😲😲😲😲.
That is an absolute DEAL breaker for me ... we are on the QM2 In September and Victoria next summer .... Guess I'll be giving the Queen Anne a wide berth .... 😕

Yes a very different promenade deck. Enjoy your cruises, thanks for watching

Thanks again for this, nice to get a real time feel of a stroll around the ship. Yes, it's narrow, partially blocked, but at least it's still there. My wife and I will definitely be walking laps on the deck when we get on board the QA and enjoying it regardless.

Enjoying your videos - we sail Cunard for the first time in August/Sept QM2 for 30N. So looking forward to the promenade as we walk 2-3 miles everyday. Love the videos I've seen of QM2 promenade but the Queen Anne....not so much. It looks more closed in? and yes, I would miss the deck chairs but I enjoyed the sea sounds. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Kris thank-you for your kind words about our videos and watching!
30 nights wow amazing!! We loved QM2, she still holds the crown for ultimate ship, yes agreed it’s more closed in on Anne but does have its own charm.
      More to come

Shame on the trend to build new ships without correct promenade decks without unobstructed views out to sea & padded deck chairs. I don't buy the argument that younger newer passengers won't miss this. In the meantime Cunard is p*ssing off their core staple of cruiser. Also the other major fail with Queen Anne(IMHO) is the absolutely failed opportunity with the Queens Room. Too small a venue for the number of passengers & ugly uncomfortable seating. There's nothing sumptuous or inviting about this space. Looks like a tacky dance hall, with the atmosphere to match. At what point did the design team at Cunard think this space is acceptable? On a positive note, both the Commodore Club & Chart Room look delightful.

This is interesting - on Aurora last week, I also noticed a lack of loungers.
I found on Rotterdam (another Pinnacle class) there were LOADS of loungers down here, so it's not a 'ship class' decision in force here!

We loved the decking on the QMII, Nice and wide, great views and plenty of deck chairs. This is the worst feature on the Queen Anne. Not good for long trips or in good weather. Younger people live their exercise.

The Queen Anne "Promenade" deck is rather disappointing to say the least. I understand the trend with new ship builds is to put the lifeboats on the deck in order to not have balcony cabins with obstructed views, but this tradeoff shortchanges every passenger on the ship.

We’d have to agree with you here, it’s always nice to be able to stop and take in views on a promenade deck, this one is very much just a walking around exercise.

Always when walking remember one thing, left hand to left hand, as when riding a horse ! saves crashing into the oncoming person 🙂

I’ve sailed on the three older Cunard Queens, which all have much wider Promenade Decks ( QM2 having the widest). They all have room for deckchairs. The promenade decks are extremely popular for joggers, strolling and general view watching of the beautiful sea vistas!! Even with the wider decks , I have to watch my backside for joggers and faster moving strollers so that I don’t collide into anyone!! Queen Anne’s narrower deck, lower hanging lifeboats ( no views anymore in most area) and no deckchairs) is going to be VERY UNPOPULAR with passengers and also a big safety hazard !!! BIG MISTAKE CUNARD !! Personally I’m sticking in the future with QM2, QV and QE !!! And the three other Queens have more elegant and beautiful interiors anyway !!😍 Winner , Winner Chicken Dinner !! They can keep the stark , cold , uninviting and hip “ Contemporary “ interiors of the QA!!👎. MikeW.

🤣🤣 this one made me chuckle so thank you. Yes the promenade deck seems very unpopular at the moment, for me personally I like a promenade deck where I can sit and look out at some point along the stroll. Thank you for watching

Being an avid cunarder I am SERIOUSLY CONCERNED.... Especially as I've booked 2 cruises on the Anne this year, I really hope the Anne is better when I get on board, QE and QV QM arnt going where I want. It's a shit show

  • @mariamedhurst4325

Based on this video alone - it's narrow and uninviting. There are no steamer chairs but I guess if you have no sea views....Much prefer that of my Fave QV and QM.
