Booked this ship out of Galveston for October 2025

just did a 2-week Caribbean trip, and to be truthful the ship is nice but very generic in style, no real wow factor other than the sky dome which is always full, hard to find a place to sit, and has no actual sun lounges inside only seats. sun lounges are found along the sides of the sky dome in the shade. The crew and wait staff are lovely and helpful but there is just not enough for the size of the ship and the amount of guests they have to cater for. The cabin guys don't even fold your towels into fun animals anymore, I know it's such a small thing but that really used to make my day. the booking system is very annoying, especially with the timings, sometimes you end up running to get to your booking or missing dessert after dinner if you are dining in the restaurants. there are also a lot of initial charges to do certain activities like; the altitude walk, mission control or the limelight club, etc. This is really annoying as you have already paid a premium just for the holiday in the first place and this cuts down your entertainment options. Food for P&O has very much gone downhill, very inconsistent in the quality of the food and how hot it is. As someone with coeliac disease (so not gluten) I was very limited in choice and spent 2 weeks dining in the Meridian restaurant, the only thing that came consistently hot was the soup. I had the steak multiple times and sometimes it was cooked perfectly but others it was overcooked and chewy. In the Horizon restaurant which is the buffet-style eatery, cross-contamination was a big problem, the foods were all laid out next to each other with no separation other than being separated into; cold cuts, hot food, and dessert and you served yourself rather than someone behind the counter doing the dishing out the food, for people who have severe food allergies this not ok and could possibly end up putting someone in the hospital. P&O also changed the time of our excursion booking from 9am to 1:30pm only telling us the night before and when we enquired as to why this was, they said it was due to 'technical problems with the catamaran' so we cancelled and got our money back, but on the shore day we saw at 9am a P&O booked catamaran excursion going out when we asked the people going on it, it turned out to be the same exact excursion we booked. so P&O obviously overbooked, changed some people to a different time but also lied to us about why it was changed. Side note some friends who were on the same holiday as us had one of their excursions cancelled the night before. I have been on five cruises now including a P&O Ventura cruise (which I loved) and this one really disappointed me in so many ways, some I haven't written down, these were just the main points I felt people should know before booking because it's not a cheap holiday.

I’m looking at one holiday that includes Morocco on Ventura don’t think they’ve been there before sounds great, more places don’t want cruise ships around like bar harbour, so they have to make changes fast and they’ve probably have tried to tweak and bring new destinations it must be a hard task if they let them in or depending how big the cruise ships are, I mean other cruise lines like Cunard go the same places time and time again aswell.

We're off on our first Cunard cruise very soon and we were thinking of the drinks package, but you've persuaded us against it. Thank you for saving us money. ❤

I love the legend. Cruise to Greeks isles and Italy. Just amazing

P&O are stuck in a time warp loop. Even their newest ships have the same boring formula of cabins in restrained drab beige from Ikea, entertainment is acts from end of the pier (but missing the fortune teller), boring food in the main restaurants as designed by Marco Pierre White (yes he is still alive but the cold plate of food is definitely dead having last been served warm in the 1970's), the destinations wont cause excitement so is good for those with pacemakers, your fellow passengers are 99% British and complain a lot - this makes them happy. Embarkation: you are herded like cows going to be milked, your luggage goes on its own adventure and has more fun than your do. Disembarkation: often involves a treasure hunt for your luggage. Gift shops allow you to buy things that you would never buy normally or could ever afford, like Rolex watches and diamond tiaras, or perhaps an overpriced print of a lesser known artist. In the ports, that all look the same, you can buy overpriced crap. Excursions are generally cheap but when you get back to your cabin you need a stiff drink from the exorbitantly priced drinks package and vow to spend more on the excursion next time rather than the drinks package or just do your own thing. When you get home you will have difficulty remembering where you have been, or why you went. Caution: You will bore everyone you meet with your P&O cruise experience and may lose friends.

Nie wieder Euribia. Die "Premium Suite Aurea" ist totaler Etikettenschwindel (wir hatten Kabine 9306). Tägliche stundenlange Lärmbelästigungen von der darunter gelegenen Lounge bis weit nach Mitternacht. Gegen diesen penetranten Schallpegel haben nicht mal Gehörschutzstöpsel geholfen. Erholungswert nicht "Premium" sondern NULL. Zudem: MSC zeigt sich reklamationsresistent. Eine Schande.

We are going to Hawaii on 16 day cruise so got the Premier . Because if we want to get room service and have water in our room ( we just ask for bottle of water) instead of buying it for our room. We went on Alaska cruise we wasted money on having it ordered for our room.

This is by far the worst Princess ship we spent 21 days on her venues are all to small lines of people everywhere even to try and get a coffee so many people om board we couldn't even sit up at the pools and the music at the pool and in the atrium is so loud its hard to have a conversation people on our cruise with cabins near the atrium complained of not being able to sleep .The whole cruise felt like being on a Carnival cruise ship if you love Princess we could never recommend this ship its so disappointing

Been crossing on her for 20 years. Was on her in May westbound, Nothing like it used to be. The service is now TERRIBLE. Cannot even book online. Web site all broken. The food is awful. Many complaints about the service. American government should be ashamed of themselves ... making us queue for hours waiting for immigration in Brooklyn. The Brits do it on board. Arrival last Saturday was hours late after she broke down near Newfoundland westbound. Breaking down an average of every 4 crossings. World Cruise used to be on my bucket list. Not any more. Boarded her 16 June Eastbound and it was FAR better. Going to try her again in October or December.

You mention that on QM2 you look "outwards" not "inwards" as on cruise ships; this was deliberate. By dividing the uptakes from the engine room to the funnel, they were able to leave room for a central passageway on decks 2 and 3. From the rear of the Royal Court Theatre to the aft end of the Britannia Restaurant in one unbroken view. This means that, as you enter the Champagne Bar, Chart Room, Sir Samuel's, Golden Lion you are facing the ocean through the windows, rather than walking away from the waves as when passageways are on the sides of the ship, and you walk into centrally located rooms. Subtle yet memorable.

Great video, QM2 clearly explained, and light years ahead of another "tour" I watched recently (where the person with the camera hadn't a clue). Thank you for the trouble you went to in filming, editing and posting this excellent video.
