When I got my loan 2 1/2 years ago, I went through a broker who used UWM and Rocket mortage. UWM sent out a letter to brokers in December 2021 that said if a broker used Rocket and UWM, then UWM would not be deal with that broker.
yep that is one of the things the lawsuit is over as some brokers were sending 90% of their business to one place while saying to clients they were shopping for them.
Amazing breakdown! I just closed escrow and my loan amount is a little over $2.3M. Purchase price was $2.9M. I know I can’t refi until another 6 months, but are there any banks you know or recommend who are of being competitive? Thank you!
Congrats on your new home! 🏡❤️It depends on the type of loan you have. Also within six months whoever’s lowest now likely won’t be the lowest then. Banks are always moving in and out of the market to a large extent .
Any specific suggestions with respect to construction loans? In particular, those for someone borrowing when retired (if that even matters)? I've heard it's best to go with local, community-type banks since "they know the area," but not sure of that's true??? I assume there's some amount of interaction needed between the builder and the bank...
Construction loans where you’re buying the land and then building the house often community release, small community banks and credit unions Do have the best products for that.
You left a big one out of this conversation that can be Extremely beneficial!
I think making informative YT videos would be a plus too. Just saying. Thanks for the breakdown.
Happy to help:)

A Teacher is better. 😇
Will my credit go down if I shop around for different mortgage rates?
not if you do within a 30 day window
