    Bought a G26 a few years back. After ~500 rounds, it began to feed and cycle properly. Wasn’t the ammo (tried 4 types) or the shooter, different people shot the gun. It was over $600. For $260, you bet I will buy one.

    Good video!
    Out of the box, my G3c shot low and left compared to to 3 other pistols in my bag. I took it to my gun guru. He tested it and saw it was the same, so he adjusted the rear sight and it shot in the middle but still low. Rather than fool around with adjusting dots on the rear sight, I decided to put in front and rear truglow fiberoptic tritium sights. I am waiting for them to arrive.

    Awesome review Kalib, thank you so much for your efforts! You saved me $380, I was originally going to buy the Hellcat, and I was looking at the Canik TP9 SC Elite. I'm really impressed with the G3C especially for the added features for the incredible price. I think I'll be completely happy with the trigger because it will be replacing my Ruger LC9 for my carry gun. And! With the money savings I also purchased a S&W Bodyguard which I've wanted for a long time for ankle carry. Thanks again!

      I love the G3c but it's snappy if you don't know how to hold it.
      Look up the:
      EAA SAR KP2
      EAA Tanfoglio Witness FAB 92
      Sarsilmaz CM9 Gen2
      All of those are CZ clones
      Then for strikers
      M&P Shield 2.0
      Sig P365
      Canik TP9 Elite SC

    I bought the G3 and really enjoy it. I’m not going to shoot 500 rounds in a weekend, and I could have spent more on a gun. In years past, I have. But for me the G3 works great! I want a G3c but they are not readily available in my area at this time. Don t really want it for protection. I want it to shoot and I want it handy when I go into the mountains. And I guess I do want it for protection when I am i n the mountains.

      Just picked up a g3c for concealed carry😁 i put about 100 rounds through it when i picked it up.
      I absolutely love it, has every feature you could find on compact glocks or the sig365, but a fraction of the price.
      I ran into the same issue of not being able to fine one near me. I ended up buying on simmons sporting goods, an online store.

    So from my experience, I have the g2s and I stopped counting rounds at 2000 without any failures. I have well
    Over that now and still no failures and I paid 191 dollars for it out the door. I mean is this a budget gun because they are low quality or is it because of the price that makes the “budget”. I think they’re 400 to 500 dollar guns myself.

      IMO polymer pistol entry level is 100- 300$, Mid level is 300-500$, High level is 500$+

    Excellent review. Been wondering about the G3C. If it WAS going to malfunction, should have happened with the 147gn, which is actually designed for 5" barrels and often causes FTF in shorter 9mm. Never carry it for self defense due to this reason. Hornady Critical Defense or the Federal you are using. Lakeline makes a stainless steel replacement full captured guide rod for the G2C/G3C making it more reliable. Be curious after 500rds (that looked rough) if the trigger improved any? Some small guns do good. Think there is a 100k round torture test on the Kel-tec P11. The Hi-point compact works but weighs as much as a deer rifle and is UGLY. Thanks for the great review!

    about it shooting low I would check the grip angle, because if you shoot glocks a lot you're probably used to a more aggressive less perpendicular angle, while other guns such as sigs etc have more perpendicular angles. Not sure if the G3c is like that too. But I do know that for people that shoot glocks a lot, they are used to that angle and when they shoot guns that have a more perpendicular angle they force the barrel of the gun down because they hold the gun with the same grip but because of the different angles that results in the gun being pointed down a little.

    Got a g3 that I haven't shot yet. I'm glad Taurus made a all around feature packed jack of all trades master of one type gun. I work 2 jobs and don't do a lot of live fire so max 4-500 rounds thru a year plus dry fire drills a few times a week so if my first range session goes well then God bless Taurus. I've had a couple Taurus guns that were duds but that was a decade ago but the quality seems light years away from those. I do hate that Taurus refuses to sell any fire control parts to you which is stupid but in reality I'm not going to shoot my g3 that much and dry fire with snapcaps. Overall I love this gun for what it is right now however after seeing live fire results I may just have to get a g3c.
    On another note my son is going to help test this g3 out so it's going to be bittersweet since he's leaving to the navy so it's our last range trip for a long time😢

    Is Taurus still using soft plastic mag catches with metal mags? That was the biggest weakness in the Tauruses in our rental cabinet (Millenium/G2)... the mag catches would wear out from the magazine vibrating under recoil and cease functioning. Guns were basically reliable for a limited time, then, they’d quit.

    • @Gunday_Brunch

      The mag catch on this gun is plastic. I'm interested to see how it holds up. I'll probably take this gun with me to the range for a while and just dump a few mags through it each week to keep the round count moving along.

    I have the G2C and dislike the same 2 things you’ve mentioned, the trigger and it shot low out the box. I’ve installed an after market trigger and guide rod, and jacked up the rear sight and now it’s a different and much better handgun. I have big hands and I hated how far back the stock trigger breaks, which looks the same break as the G3C. I won’t carry mine because of the mods.

    So tired of hearing these are budget guns. Listen i csn afford a 500, 600,or more pistol. And im sure others can too. But to just keep saying that 100x in a video is crazy. I have the G2C, fns40 cal, and sig Sauer p320 compact. It shoots good enough for me and others. So do my other guns. So just stop harping on the the budget statement and just do the reviews. I think your review is very good minus the downgraded of people money for a gun. But keep doing your thing good review sir

    • @Gunday_Brunch
      @Gunday_Brunch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      For what it's worth, I don't mean "budget" as an insult, but rather a category. People are in all kind of different financial situations, especially in these corona times. I think if someone has only 250 bucks to spend they have just as much a right to own a gun as someone buying $3,000 Wilson Combat guns.

    Nice review! At the end though... You say "like the Glock 19" in reference to a great gun. I have a 19, 17, 26, etc. Any gun at a Glock's price point that requires an aftermarket trigger (and sights) pretty much negates it from the "great gun" category.
    Otherwise... Loved this review! Thanks a ton! Love the new Taurus's... Looking forward to my g3c coming in.

  • @Buckshot530

    So I was watching the muzzle while you were doing the 4 groups. I noticed that the 1st round on the first 3 groups, the muzzle was lower then the rest of the 4 shots and on the last group the muzzle was in the same position. You can reference this by going full screen and use the mouse to mark the center of the barrel before the 1st shot and leave the pointer there and see where the barrel sits with the next 4.

    I'm a new Taurus owner, just bought a G3C. The blacked out rear sights are no good, the trigger take up is a mile long and the stippling is akin to 80 grit sandpaper. I still like it and think its a good buy, but I'm not ready to anoint it as a Glock killer as so many are want to do because it's cheaper.

    • @t0neg0d
      @t0neg0d 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sure wished they would come up with an optic integrated or at least optic ready gun - like my P365XL with the Romeo 0 and my Hellcat with the RMSc. I personally do not buy a gun today without a Red Dot.I realize that may be extreme - but so many times, I cannot get precise without it. A red dot allows me to adjust to my astigmatism and hit to 25 meters nearly every time within a 5 centimeter drift (plus or minus). Look at your video - the gun was shooting a little low and sometimes to the left - so now what? YOu have to change your sites, and if you don't have the ability to install a Red Dot - that gun is now imprecise. Bullet placement (whether it is self defense or competition - though this is hardly a competition gun) is essential. But nice Seiko Diver's watch! Patek Philippe is next! ;-)

  • @Baurakale777
    @Baurakale777 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'm not going to argue that the only failure in the video was the fault of the firearm, but if you draw your carry gun, you didn't already have a round chambered, and it won't chamber a round, it's most likely going to end poorly for you. Of course, if you've already dumped a mag, and you're switching, you really need a rifle for the situation.

    • @Gunday_Brunch
      @Gunday_Brunch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8
