    Ended up getting one of these. Very nice turntable. My only con is that the Bluetooth will only work if the turntable is on line mode. So if you have it on phono running through your stereo and you wanted to run a Bluetooth in another room you couldn't do it. If I would have known that I would have just got the regular 120xUSB.

    Great info! I was on the edge to buy the AT LP120XUSB then the BlueTooth is an interesting plus, I like your great and useful comments.
    I have plenty of old disc in low conditions and some 78 rpm, it is better to get another lower quality needle to save the good green stylus? but tu use the AT-VMN95C? At 3 Min50 sec, the stylus seems very close to the vinyl! A weight adjustment is needed?!

      Durability is essential as well.
      I have two Technics SL 1200 from new in 1987 and have never given me issues.
      Will this last longer than ten years for deejay use..?
      I ask, as this is not a deejay manufactured deck and with most products today, ten years is about how long things last…
      Invest where it is viable.

    Very informative Lads great vid, I for one would really consider this Turntable, at present I own a Technics SL BD22 and love it, my only gripe with it is the straight tone arm & you can't adjust the weight or tracking force of the said arm, they are factory set, it has a p mount cartridge so it's pretty limited, the more I think about it,
    I'm definitely going to purchase one of these ! 👍😁

    I have this turntable connected to a soundbar system (which includes a subwoofer by Bluetooth. I have no receiver and/or pre-amp. Just the turntable and Bluetooth soundbar system. If I turn the volume up on the soundbar above about 60% I begin getting a very bad humming sound. If I turn the subwoofer off it stops. I've tried placing the subwoofer on a foam bad to isolate vibrations thru the floor and that didn't help. I move the subwoofer as far away from the turntable as possible (approx. 20') and that didn't help. If I turn the subwoofer off while playing a record the humming stops. I checked the turntable cartridge and it seems fine. Listening to the TV through the soundbar produces no hum. Just the turntable. I've read that this could be a grounding issue (ground loop) and the fix is to ground it to your receiver or pre-amp but I am using neither. Also, the turntable and the soundbar are around 10' apart from one another. Can you give me any suggestions on how to fix this issue? It's very annoying.

    Jonathon, I have this TT. I have it connected to my Denon DHA-800H Receiver via the Phono Input connection. I've learned that in order to use the BT function on the TT, flip the switch from Phono to Line on the TT. A new question to you and others out there: I would like to split the TT output signal to deliver the signal to both the Denon Receiver and to a Tascam CD Recorder. The purpose is to be able to record the LPs to the Tascam Unit W/O having to switch wires from the Denon Receiver to the Tascam unit ? Would a pair of Y RCA splitter cables work? Whereby , the 2 out put TT RCAs would split into 4 . 2 RCAs would connect to the Denon and 2 RCAs would connect to the Tascam. The Tascam CD recorder has a Toslink digital output connection to the Denon , so that I could monitor the CD recordings through the Denon Receiver without engaging the Phono input ?

    Hi there, great video - thanks!
    I have something of a newbie question, if you'll forgive me in advance - i am thinking of purchasing this turntable and want to connect it to my Dell PC speakers and subwoofer. I was wondering, could you simply use one adapter cable to do this, with a (female) Aux line to (female) RCA leads to use the turntable with my Dell speakers? I ask, because I saw another TH-camr say you could do this, yet I would have assumed that one would need a powered adapter to covert the analogue signal to digital.
    For context, I want to connect the (RCA) output of the AT-LP120xBT to my Dell Zylux A525 PC speakers and subwoofer, using a cable like this one on Amazon - J&D 3.5 mm to 2 RCA Cable, Gold Plated Copper Shell Heavy Duty 3.5mm Female to 2RCA Female Stereo Audio RCA Cable Adapter.
    Alternatively - and this is more left of field - but could I get a USB to (female) aux input adapter to do this, given there is a USB out? I haven’t a clue, thanks for your help.
    Thanks in advance!
    James

    If it’s not a DJ turntable why bother putting a pitch control on it 🤔

    • @TemujinScott80
      @TemujinScott80 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I’m not a DJ and prefer the pitch
      Some recordings require that sometimes

    • @robsemail
      @robsemail 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      also, people who collect 78 rpm records like having the pitch slider. Audio Technica makes an excellent cartridge for 78 rpm records which fits this turntable’s tonearm. Many record players cannot be fitted with such a cartridge, and so this one has that niche, and the pitch slider allows listeners to fine tune the pitch, since records printed during that era were often not precisely 78 rpm.
      Having said that, I think it’s ridiculous to not call this a deejay turntable. It has all the features a deejay needs in a turntable; it’s just that a professional deejay with years of experience will find those features somewhat lacking, although still functional. A lot of deejays use LP120s, and you can find videos of them performing sets with it here on youtube.

I found the arm balance easily but the issue is that when i found that balance by chance or no idea how the corresponding number on the counterweight was already zero. So i just left it like that and turned the counterweight until no. 2 and adjusted the anti skate at 2 as suggested by an official set up video i found on you tube. Do you think that is ok? It seems working fine i just want to do the correct thing not to damage the cartridge or the vinyls. Thanks for your suggestion.

      Hi Loretta, the turntable does not have Alexa built in directly so would need to be supported through the powered speaker or amplifier that you connect it to. However, even still , Alexa will not be able to get a turntable to play as it's not one of her skills but can of course be used for general music playback on the speaker that's connected to the turntable. Hope that helps.

When connected to the Receiver, the switch is on Phono on the TT. ??? THX for the very fine explanation in this video.
