    Micro review nobody cares about:
    My human slave loves his 1996 Parker Fly, he can play for hours with no back pain at all.
    Really! it's like 2 kg for the 'Metrics' or very lightweight if you still live in the past.
    It stays in tune, the piezzo sound is really good, crazy sustain and easy to play even with 10/46 strings. The only problem is the 'David Cronenberg lawsuit'.
    Humans, check Andre Tonelli channel, there is a lot of interesting stuff about scales, technique, improvisation and sunglasses.
    Great guitars, great playing, keep up the good work!

    I have a mojo fly and it gets played more than any guitar own. Stop with the nostalgia and group think, and look to the future of guitar making.....

    Excellent review from a great guitarist.
    Obviously well crafted instruments. Used to be exclusive Fender fan, however, once I got my Ernie Ball JP12, it opened my mind to different things.
    Parkers seem similar in feel. I'm certain a high end Parker would spoil me :-)
    Question: I'm sure whammy is excellent and stays in-tune. Are they all floating bridges or can that be changed? Floating bridges are great but tough when double bends are needed.
    Grazie Mille :-)

      fixed, down only or floating. Or, use micro bends... :-)

    I am experiencing the same issue where the acoustic pickup is interfering with the passive pickup. Additionally, removing the battery affects the sound of the passive pickup. I need to learn how to fix it like you did.

    • @andretonelli
      @andretonelli  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Thomas, you could always rewire the pickups as if the acoustic thing doesn’t exist, then do a separate circuit for the piezo. Andre

    Hello Andre! Being watching your videos for some time now. What happened to the video on which you show how to do the pickups/piezo preamp separation? And also, how great is the improvement of the sound when only using the magnetics pickups? I have a Fly artist and I can feel the sound of the piezo intruding when I just want to use the electric. Regards.

      Hi Francisco, we took it down because I had a few email where people messed it up, even though I think the video was more than clear. Sound-wise it was a big deal to me. Keep in mind I play instrumental guitar music and I know my pickups very very well. For "regular' use it might be ok as is. There was also more noise with higher gain sounds when going through the preamp,. Hope this helps! Best, Andre

      Andre Tonelli Thank you for answering man! I play instrumental music as well, I released my first album a couple of months ago. You can check out my work on my channel, if you want.
      Appreciate it, cheers from Argentina.
      PD: Ahora recuerdo que hablas español jaja.

    Hello Andre, I wanted to ask a few things, if you can. With that brand and measure strings Parker gives the best sè..e especially with that amplifier. Thanks in advance. i greet you!

      @andretonelli  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      casatielli I've been using D'Addario 9-42 for ages. The Fly sounds great with any amp, but as always you should try it with your favourite amps (I like ALL amps!). Best, Andre

    Hate to keep commenting on this vid but it keeps showing up in my recommended videos :-x
    Have you heard anything from Parker recently? I seriously want to buy one...like a new one...I don't understand how their website is still up even...like what the heck is going on with them? I know they closed their shop fired everyone and sold all their equipment but are they done for good 100%?

      +surgeyX Hi. I am a Parker endorser but as you can imagine I know a few things but not everything that goes on at the company. :-) Have you tried contacting them directly? Also, a lot of stores still have some of the ones that came out of the US shop.

    Ciao Andre, io provo a scriverti in italiano, per me è un pò più facile, se non va bene ti traduco tutto. Su internet non sono riuscito a trovare spiegazioni sulle differenza tra la Deluxe tra la Mojo, e tra la Select, mi potresti, sinteticamente, dire quali sono le differenze e a quali generi musicali posso accostarle?? Quando ci siamo scritti ieri per me era la prima volta che vedevo una Parker, a fine mese me la vado a comprare!!!! Colpo di fulmine!! Ha la giusta dose di aggressività e di eleganza!!.La voglio!! Ciao.

    • @andretonelli

      casatielli Ciao. The Parker Deluxe is mad of Poplar and Basswood, while the Mojo is made of Mahogany, which gives it a darker, fuller sound. The Select I think are made of Spruce and Basswood, and should have a very resonant sound, though I have never played one.
      La Deluxe é di pioppo e tiglio, e la Mojo di mogano, che suona più scuro e più pieno. Le Select mi sembra che siano di Abete Rosso e Tiglio e dovrebbero avere molta risonanza, anche se non le ho mai provate.
      Best,
      Andre

    Aren't Stranberg guitars that come out now better?

    • @andretonelli
      @andretonelli  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know that they are better, but they do seem like nice guitars.

      @@andretonelli They don't seem to have the frets falling apart and that thing poking into your chest porblem. Also they're so much cheaper than this.

    • @andretonelli
      @andretonelli  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you’ve found your brand. And they’ll also be easier to find now that Parker isn’t making guitars anymore…

      @@andretonelli But the Parker is made out of Carbon Fiber mostly. That's a huge advantage. It's Impervious to climate change right?

    • @andretonelli
      @andretonelli  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s mainly wood. It has a thin coat of carbon epoxy in the back which indeed makes it extremely stable. I have never had any issues with mine.
