I have been coping with a spinal cord injury for the last 10 years. I was always positive and when the pain was extremely intense l just tried to get through it. Motivation and attitude are good qualities but sometimes patience is essential because without patience and staying calm. Nothing of value can be cultivated.
The one who can step past his own suffering, but not lose connection to the world in unregulated joy... Is the same one who can step into the shoes of another, and thus walk 1000 lives.
This is 1 of the best stories I have ever heard.

Yup. Just ignore the uncomfortable truths of life, and focus on the warm and fuzzy stuff, embracing pure ignorance. So inspirational.
The balance is accepting and acknowledging uncomfortable truths. Learning from them as a life experience; then choosing ones thoughts wisely moving forward in this beautiful/challenging world we live in. Easier said than done sometimes but lessons none the less. One picks and chooses what occupies space in ones head. We have such power for change always seeking truth. Life isn't easy sometimes but we learn to cope/thrive through perspective finding peace and sense of calm in this simple but powerful teaching. I hear you though...I hear you my friend.

Perspective. Recently I realized I was much to attached to "things" in general. So I prayed for detachment. Not long after that I was diagnosed with type two diabetes. What to do? Well, I have to curb my attachment to certain foods. I'm learning to eat to live rather than live to eat. Perspective. The diabetes is an answer to my prayer for detachment. I am not bitter about not being able to eat some of my favorite foods, I'm thankful for answered prayer and look at the diabetes as a gift/challenge. Perspective. Never let circumstances dictate your response to anything. Instead have insightful perspective. The circumstances won't change but your outlook and therefore your life will. 🙏
