This Story introduced me to Gautama Buddha, and I remember this story I was in 3rd grade school taught by one of my favourite teacher. Thank you for this amazing story of Love, birth, compassion, and being born.I'm born again today.
As a Buddhist, every time I listen to these stories, I feel inspired. Calmed. Happy. Like I have never felt before. I hope someday in life, if I have a chance, I would become a monk.

I just cried, it is indeed such a beautiful story filled with truth, compassion and forgiveness, it is magical to see how we can actually find our place in the world by helping each other and all the living beings by just seeing things the way they are.
Its crazy how blinded we are by our own suffering that everything we want is to cover that blindness with placer forgetting about the reality of the other beings.
I hope people around the world start meditating so they can take off that which blinds their realities.

"I hurt the swan, it belongs to me." (That's how we believe in our real life too. We give power to others to hurt us more.)
But when old man said... "If the swan could talk then swan would ask for life, to swim with other swans not to feel pain or death.
That's how we are supposed to think in our life too.
This was really helpful lesson for me.
It takes time to train your mind to think in such way but with Gautham Buddha's Way of peace, one can ultimately is freeing himself/herself from not giving furthermore life to feel pain.

I have had a few hardships to overcome lately. I truly believe that Listening to your storytelling has helped me look at my problems in a different light. Thank you so much for passing on wisdom. Even though times for me are hard right now (loosing a brother), I have been finding myself smiling for no reason and I have found that my smile has helped my mother with her sadness as well. Devadatta never learnt a lesson from Siddartha .He was always jealousy about Siddartha.Once devadatta tried kill the Buddha sending a tuskers mixing alchol to his foods (to make elephant more anger)

Thus making him (Devadatta) to be born in the lowest hell, Avici. It’s said that until now he’s still in there. But hell isn’t permanent too in Buddhism, he will be born in another realm after completing this cycle.

Small correction. Siddhartha's mother (princess) died when giving birth to him. Because he is a person who shall not worship anyone, but worshiped by everyone.
Yeah, in a week she died as the Universal rule. lady Prajapathi was became the very blessed step mom.
And also as a universal rule, no other person can born from a womb of the same mother who gave the birth to a future Buddha. Cause nobody is not great enough for that. That's the reason why lady Mahamaya died in a week and born in heaven as the "Mathru divya Raja".
Buddha lately preach her too and she achieved the Nirvana too.
That's the same senario happens to every Buddha's mother.

Budhha never wanted to be worshipped and treated as God, because he considered himself a messenger of divine knowledge. Unfortunately western influence turned him into a God. Buddha was against idol worship but We made idols of him and started worshipping. Such a drastic contrast! A person who was free from the materialistic world, was cast into statues and became nothing more than an object.
