Russet potatoes are what most French fries in America are made out of. And I'm from Nebraska, and the Runzas are excellent to eat, and when you get fries, order their ranch dressing for dipping.
Culver’s is probably the best on this. Those were deep fried green beans. They are a slightly better for you substitute for French fries. A lot of fast food places have them now.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I grew up eating Skyline Chili. The cheese on the top is not as much as you might think. It's just the right amount. I truly feel sorry for those that have never had the opportunity to eat Cincinnati-style chili. To this day, it remains at the top of my favorite foods ever list. Trust me, going on seven decades of being a foodie counts!!
Yeah that seems to be an old menu. Here in Southern Cali the last time I bought In N Out was a month a go and the double, double was $5.50 and cheeseburger was $3.75. and fries $2.20 I think. The combo with all 3 was like 9 bucks.
I so wish Lion’s Choice would franchise and spread out. Every time I go back to visit family in St. Louis I have to bring some Lion’s Choice back to Texas with me. We do have Steak N Shake here though, but no White Castle. No Ted Drews, no Imo’s, etc. I miss St. Louis but not the weather.
@@brucew7062 We do pretty good on the food front. Imo's is good. I'm in a western suburb and on an outer road we have "pizza row". Every chain represented, all right next door to each other. Just checked the prices for N&Out burger. They have gone up some but beat all other fast food burger chains for overall prices. 2024 dbl/dbl combo is $9. Most expensive item on the menu. Only McD's has cheaper beverages.
Duchess Restaurants are great. Connecticut - and all of New England - like our regional chains over the big chains. We love Friendlys, Dunkin and of course the big chains, yet we love our local chains, too.
That dish from Nebraska, the one described as a hot pocket with beef and cabbage. In Kansas, and other places, that is called a Bierok (beer rock) and is usually square and not....hotdog shaped.
Hello Graham family! Good to see everyone today. It's my birthday and I'm so happy to see a new GFR video!!! Have a fabulous day. Much ❤ from north Texas!!!
Am SO HAPPY that Whataburger was chosen as the signature fast food place in Texas. As a native Texan myself, I can personally testify that Whataburger is easily one of the best, if not THE best, burger and fast food places you will find in this state. The food is always delicious, and I’d honestly pick them over McDonald’s or Wendy’s any day of the year. My personal go-to burger there is the Sweet And Spicy Bacon Burger.
I was so disappointed when I moved to Texas with Whataburger. Sometimes it was good other times it went straight in the trash. I think that consistency is their biggest issue.
My sister moved to Texas from Indiana and we went to Whataburger, it's a less than average Burger King. The BBQ, steaks & so much other stuff is better in Texas & Whatadissapointment...
In Oregon, Burgerville is the best, as noted on the list. It's awesome that they use wind power for all their restaurants and their burgers contain an awesome secret sauce. They also have seasonal drinks such as pumpkin shakes in the fall. So good.
I work at In N Out in California (where it’s more expensive) but even after price raises our Double Double comes out around $8.50-9.50 depending on the city. I could be wrong but I’m just going on my stores prices
$9.50? For a double double? Are u sure that's not the meal cuz I just bought a double, double with fries about a month ago and just the burger was $5.50 in downtown.
Nebraska here and oh boy is the Runza out of this world good!! They also serve burgers, chili, salads, fish and fries of course. Along with ice cream. But they have a variety of Runza’s. They have the original runza which is seasoned ground beef and cabbage, cheese runza is the original with cheese, Philly cheese runza, Swiss mushroom runza which is the original with Swiss cheese and a sauce added. My favorite is the cheese runza. They are served on soft fluffy bread that has all the ingredients inside, the bread is like a large bread roll that wraps around all the good yummy ingredients inside of it . They opened one in Colorado but other than that you can only get it in Nebraska. During the month of January or February you can get a runza meal for what ever the temperature is at 6am outside. So if the temp is zero at 6am then the runza is free and you pay for the fries and drink only. If the temp is 5 degrees you pay 5cents for the runza and pay regular cost for fries and drink. They are rather large about 6inches long.
You can't get a burger at Dunkin Donuts, but you can get breakfast sandwiches with eggs, sausage patties or bacon, and English muffins (they're sort of like crumpets) as the bread.
I'm in San Antonio, TX and recently saw a TH-cam ad for Slim Chickens. Apparently the nearest one is in Fort Sam army base. Also, it seems that Culver's has moved in. Otherwise lots of these chains have been here for decades.
YES!!! STEAK N SHAKE WAS ON THERE!!! WOOHOO!!! Although it was for a state that is nowhere near Oklahoma, I am still absolutely thrilled that it made it on this list! Their food is made fresh, it is cheap, it is very good, and you can actually see them grilling the steakburgers on the grill, if you want to. I prefer any of the "4 meals under $4.44" menu. The best are the butter steakburger with fries and the garlic steakburger with fries.
I've had most of the items shown in this video, and oh my goodness, they're all great. I'm living at my 35th address, but I've lived almost 25 years of my life in the great state of Texas, 20 of which were in the San Antonio area. Whataburger was a good choice for Texas, and we dined at Whataburger at least once a week, but what was overlooked were Texas (more specifically, San Antonio) breakfast tacos--egg & bacon, egg & potato, egg & chorizo, bean & cheese, or any combination of the above ingredients--sooooo good. I've not experienced anything like the breakfast tacos we could get in the San Antonio area. For what it's worth, I served as a missile launch officer in the ICBM fields in southwest Wyoming, western Nebraska and northeast Colorado. For those of us who's sites were in western Nebraska, the "cabbage burgers" (as we called them) in Sydney, Nebraska, which are now called Runzas, were an extremely popular item among missile crewmembers--back in "the day."
Don't be fooled, not all places pack their sandwiches. I live in Colorado and every Saturday a lot of food trucks come to town. One of them is called the Lobster Trap. Every few months, my husband and I get lobster rolls. I get mine Connecticut style. Lobster meat with a lemon wedge and melted butter on a New England roll. They cost some money but they are so good.
In-N-Out is a California institution. Simple and fresh ingredients at an affordable price. It's not much more than the price in the video. They also have no freezers because all the beef patties are never frozen.
McD has a Double Big Mac and a Double Quarter Pounder, on sale now ;-). More McD for your dollar. Freddie’s Steak Burgers are great and custard based ice cream.
The Frisco melt at Steak n Shake is indeed divine, but ask for extra Frisco sauce! Their silver dollar hash browns with cheese sauce are also incredible. For ketchup lovers there’s the historic Fred and Red in Joplin, Missouri. They popularized serving spaghetti with chili instead of traditional pasta sauce and ketchup is a frequent addition.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and Cincinnati style chili is AMAZING!! Skyline is my favorite Cincinnati style chili restaurant. The cheese isn't too much. Trust me. You might be happy to know there are 1989 Wing Stop locations across the US in over 40 states so you should be able to find some fast food wings when you come here. Not counting all the many chain restaurants that serve wings of course. The top rated chain in most states is usually Chick-Fil-A or McDonald's. This video was trying to be as local as possible with exceptions like KFC and Jersey Mike's which are everywhere. Kentucky is also the home to Fazoli's (an Italian fast food chain), Papa John's, and Texas Roadhouse. You can't always guess where a chain originated by its name or style of food.
The first time I went to a Krystals was in Jacksonville, Florida. I didn't know anything about it beforehand. My (x)hubby asked me to go through the drive-thru and told me to order him 15 burgers and order 6 for myself... I thought he was crazy (I can barely finish one fully topped single patty burger)!!! When we picked up our bag at the window, I started giggling. It was too cute. I managed to eat 3 burgers (and some fries) and he got the other 3. 😁

In-N-Out is on a downhill spiral. In is a California native fast food chain and some locations in California are closing due to the alarming violence in the state. When you visit the United States, I would advise you to not visit California or New York for the same reasons. Do your research before visiting us. The southern USA is a safe place to visit. Southern hospitality is alive and well!
Only 1 In & Out has closed in the history of the drive in that's in Oakland California. I wouldn't drive thru that city even in the day it's always been scary. I live in Northern California and there's always something bad going on there.
Milo's has a small handful of locations in the middle of Alabama . Not sure if they are the most popular. Up here in N.Alabama "Jack's" is the most popular regional fast food restaurant. And it's really hit or miss on quality.
Speaking of catsup (ketchup), I live in the Philippines (American), and the main catsup we use is Banana catsup. No, it doesn't taste like bananas, but tastes pretty much the same as the regular stuff, but maybe just a touch sweeter. It's not weird tasting at all. And, while at it, one main thing we eat a lot here is "ube", which is a purple yam. It is used in a ton of things, from sweets, to ice cream, to bread, etc. Look that one up!
sweet meats? BBQ often sweet, Chinese sweet & sour chicken or shrimp or pork or beef, honey mustard sauce, chicken and waffles, corn dogs, maple syrup apple smoked bacon, pork chops with braised apple slices, honey-glazed ham or chicken or salmon, Hawaiian pizza... Just sayin'.
The thing that happened a few years ago that you were thinking about, was a spicy chicken sandwich war between Chic-fil-a and Popeye's. My favorite chicken is Popeye's spicy chicken. The one near me is closed down do to remodeling. Not sure when it will open back up. I can't wait!
Have you never had cabbage rolls? I grew up on stuffed cabbage and cabbage stew with beedmf. I realize these are not wide spread meals but cabbage rolls are very popular.
I live in Kansas City and thank goodness there are several Culver's in the greater KC area! It is overwhelmingly my favorite fast food restaurant. If it wasn't for Barbecue restaurants, it would be my favorite restaurant period. But seriously Kansas City is a big BBQ city - several restaurants are absolutely wonderful.
Once I saw this wasn't main stream fast food places for each state I watched the whole thing just to make sure they said Tudor's for West Virginia. I grew up in West Virginia and have lived in 4 other states. Almost every person from WV that I have met that has moved out of WV says they get Tudor's every time they go back to visit.
HEY!! Leah didn't have something else better to do today!! LOL!! McDonalds everywhere has gotten expensive. There will be new changes coming regarding that.
Grew up in South Carolina and there’s restaurant here called The Beacon that serves great burgers, BBQ and some of the best cat fish ever. Enough taste to make you want to slap your mama (southern saying, don’t actually do that) but enough grease to clog your arteries🤣
I'm from Cincinnati (Ohio) and I'm telling ya.... you HAVE to try Skyline Chili at least once in your life! It's not your 'typical" chili, hence why it's called "Cincinnati Chili". And the mountains of cheese on it, is friggin delish! LOL :)
The prices for In-and-Out is still pretty much the same as in the video here in Southern California. A meal costs about HALF that of Mcdonalds but In-And-Out is vastly superior in quality, there is no comparison.
I'm in North Carolina. They have a Culver's here and I went there a couple days ago for the first time. I wont be going back. It was overhyped. I ordered a bacon deluxe and they gave me a mushroom and Swiss burger. I HATE mushrooms. The cheese curds were hard. The best thing there were the fries.
Not sure where in California those prices are. In the San Francisco Bay Area, the Double Double, where I live, went up from $5.15 to $5.55. Still a lot better value than what you get from McD's.
You haven’t? I’m from north Alabama, and even I have heard of milos. I’ve seen them in fultondale, Birmingham, and maybe gardendale (I always get Fultondale and Gardendale mixed up 💀
I noticed that your son seems to have a large thyroid. As someone who deals with thyroid problems. you may need to have him checked. I only say this to be helpful. I love you guys.
MMMMM Vietnamese food. Lovely flavors. Sort of between Chinese and Thai. Some spicy and some gorgeous broth soups. When in VN I used to get a won ton soup at a VN restaurant that was the best soup I've eaten anywhere. Spicy shrimp and some banana dessert were fantastic.
Shucks, I was thinking L&L BBQ before the video started. 😁Hawaii's Zippy's Chili Bucket is sold as a fundraiser item for schools and organizations. We never turn it down... like buying Girl Scout Cookies... always get some. Where I live now, we don't have a Zippy's on our island, so outer-island trips and family coming our way are the only way to get something off the Zippy's menu.🤙 [Also, no McD, No BK, no KFC, no Taco Bell, no Pizza Hut, etc.]
Don't worry Garrin, I chuckled at Dick's too. Dick's deluxe made me laugh out loud. My brother use to put tomato sauce (ketchup) on ice-cream. Where as I don't really like sauces, chilli & mustard yes, anything else no thanks.
What sweet thing, Turkey isnt sweet, its savory. I like Sequoia burger in Sebastapol Cal.(nor cal) there are several good hamburger places Here in Sonoma county.
Maid-Rite is not a Iowa thing there's only one store open I said the number one thing in Iowa fast food is actually Casey's Pizza it's a gas station that sells the best pizza especially their taco pizza it's the most popular gas station in Iowa

@@Sactown5472 you are not keeping up with the news. There are several more in major California cities that are doing the same thing. Educate yourself.
Culvers and Chipotle is amazing!
sweet meats? BBQ often sweet, Chinese sweet & sour chicken or shrimp or pork or beef, honey mustard sauce, chicken and waffles, corn dogs, maple syrup apple smoked bacon, pork chops with braised apple slices, honey-glazed ham or chicken or salmon, Hawaiian pizza...
Just sayin'.
Bless you. I had an uncle die from a sneeze…..he was in another man’s closet. 😂
Yep. Crown Burgers is a place for pastrami. Very popular local chain in Utah.
Side note: I rather eat Wendy's over McDonald's.
I agree. Crown was good when i was their last year.
Lions Choice is a different kind of roast beef. I still can't figure out how but it's something to do with the salt they cook with it.
Feed your kids!!!! They are starving!!!!😂😂😂😂
Have you never had cabbage rolls? I grew up on stuffed cabbage and cabbage stew with beedmf. I realize these are not wide spread meals but cabbage rolls are very popular.
Portillos cake shake is amazing.
Edit: Culver's is great. Fried cheese curds are so good.
I really dislike mixing baked goods and shakes. You get soggy cake and a crumby shake.
A thanksgiving sandwich is sooo delicious
I live in Maine. The lobster rolls are to die for. Fresh and sweet
Had Chic-fil A last night
Ketchup. Early versions were made of mushrooms .. so the word really means 'sauce'. The 'red stuff' is tomato ketchup ..
Wendy's Triple Burger with a Chocolate Frosty. The Best!
Not sure where in California those prices are. In the San Francisco Bay Area, the Double Double, where I live, went up from $5.15 to $5.55. Still a lot better value than what you get from McD's.
I live in Nebraska and love RUNZA!
I've been in Alabama for a long time and never heard milos
You haven’t? I’m from north Alabama, and even I have heard of milos. I’ve seen them in fultondale, Birmingham, and maybe gardendale (I always get Fultondale and Gardendale mixed up 💀
I'm from Tuscaloosa and never heard of Milo's perhaps it's in other populated citys
Great intro young man.
Culvers is the best fast food restaurant in the world
In N Out prices add about $2 for California and about $1 for other states
Double double is $4 and a cheeseburger under 3 when I go in California
Wrong. I live in California and those are the prices.
I noticed that your son seems to have a large thyroid. As someone who deals with thyroid problems. you may need to have him checked. I only say this to be helpful. I love you guys.
If you eat breakfast at Chick-fil-A, you can ask for the waffle fries instead of tots. I've done it many times.
Tots?
@@chrischar9428 potato rounds or tater tots
Cranberry sauce is one of those foods you like or don’t like!
Don't worry Garrin, I chuckled at Dick's too. Dick's deluxe made me laugh out loud. My brother use to put tomato sauce (ketchup) on ice-cream. Where as I don't really like sauces, chilli & mustard yes, anything else no thanks.
Skyline chili is only popular in the Cincinnati arrea. And yes all Waffle house locations are open 24/7
I have heard cranberry sauce referred to as ass flavored Jello!!😄😄😂😂
I want a 32 crystals and for two days I stay in the restroom. It was delicious, but it was challenging.
There has got to be recipes on line for blueberry Ketchup.
Garrin sounds like someone I knew who'd put ketchup on even ice cream.
What sweet thing, Turkey isnt sweet, its savory. I like Sequoia burger in Sebastapol Cal.(nor cal) there are several good hamburger places Here in Sonoma county.
Went to Dicks that we havein Santa Rosa, they didn't have coffee. Soooo thats a big nope.
Maid-Rite is not a Iowa thing there's only one store open I said the number one thing in Iowa fast food is actually Casey's Pizza it's a gas station that sells the best pizza especially their taco pizza it's the most popular gas station in Iowa
I feel foryou. Filibertos in Az is not "the most popular".
Being from Cincinnati I can truly say: There is no such thing as too much cheese!
Nothing like Skyline at a Red's game. 😭
