Apple continues to listen to accessibility users and how they can improve iOS 18 to be more accessible for everyone. regardless of your thoughts on apple or iphone, they are unmatched when it comes to accessibility. i've seen videos of some people with disabilities who are masters of the accessibility options who literally work the phone as fast as anyone. it's crazy.
We don’t care. Not all of us are disabled. Apple is ripping off its customers, no innovation whatsoever

Features that nobody will use
If they considered that apart from people with disabilities, there are also people speaking a language outside the 5-6 they fully support it would be awesome
The fact that Apple puts so much effort into accessibility features makes them the best tech company. as someone who relies on these can appreciate it. No other company comes close. ♥️

Every phone has accessibility WTF...😂Apple will always be late when it comes to developing software, only that apple is good at its hardware meaning microchip. Its sad 😢 and ppl don't know that. We already have these updates on our phone since a long time. Its stupidity 😂

Useful video Aaron! I'm a daily accessibility user for many of its features. For technology Apple is fantastic. They care about and listen to not just people in general, but people like me who use and need special/advanced features to use their products.

I was wondering if sideloaded apps are going to open like normal AppStore apps do ? Because now if you receive let say a TH-cam link ,it doesn’t open directly ,iOS doesn’t recognize those sideloaded apps
i haven’t watched the video yet but i really need ipad OS to start making revolutionary advancements to fully make use of this power

I like the idea of haptics when playing music however I really feel like this can make a big negative impact on battery life. I really also appreciate the voices that will be coming to VoiceOver and iOS 18 as well
I would love to see more flexibility or granularity in Screen Time for family members (ie: Parental Controls). It's currently pretty good, but I feel there are some gaps around scheduling or customizing Downtime (per app, per time of day, etc.)

They might, but Apple tries to make their camera function like pro cameras which dont do that so I would be surprised if they add it.

This pattern of announcements from the iPad event to this is a strong prediction that ios18 will bring us features that completely use the powerful hardware as that presenting in the new iPad pro.

Hey Aaron Great video and I'm happy to see that Apple is focusing on accessibility features for iOS 18. I am an accessibility user myself I use voice control on a daily basis to control my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I'm hoping they fix a little issue I'm having with voice control in the next major version of iOS and I hope that some of these new features if not all of them are available for older iPhone as well like the 14 pro max so I don't have to upgrade to the iPhone 16 if I don't have to. Anyway keep up the good work your videos are awesome and very informative by the way I'm using voice control right now to write this comment on this video😊

Dear Aaron I love your videos as they are very easy to understand and informative. I have an iPhone 15 pro and I have been on developer beta testing for a while now. Just recently iOS 17.5 final release came out to the public I did not receive this update or notification to update I have tried several different methods with nothing popping up when I refresh to get the newest update I am currently on iOS 17.5 RC with this basically the same version as the final release which is why I have not received a notification to update to the final version of iOS 17.5
That’s because iOS 17.5 RC or the final release to developers is the same that they released to the public. You just got to use it one week early.

I love the video and as someone who uses VoiceOver, I am looking forward to what new voices will be available to us with iOS 18, besides what we have now. I wonder if we will get the classic versions of Tom, Ava, Samantha, other voices which have come so far back in someway. Will weat Long last get Paul and Violetta, along with other voices from Vocalware, along with other voices such as Julie and Cate (who are American voices)? I wonder if we will also be getting Crystal and Mike, among other classic voices from way back when and maybe even Donna? That would be cool!

My main gripe with my iphone 15PM is the keyboard does not support two languages at once like gboard and swiftkey. Both those keyboard apps dont work as well on my iphone as on my old androids.

After updating my iPhone 15 Pro Max, I faced many issues. First, recover old deleted photos. In addition, I had difficulties making and receiving calls.

No way they’ll discontinue support for 2019 intel macs, at most, this soon. Maybe a year or two more.
Yeah, they will probably support the 2019 Intel Macs and newer. Then next year it may be the 2020 intels (MacBook only) or m1. isn't easy to predict what they're gonna do.

New VoiceOver voices always excite me, we can never have too many of those. I just hope, with all the AI stuff coming to all the OSes, along with all the new features, that we'll have more stability to go along with them.
When will they add location aware weather radar so you can see what you are about to drive into? Apple continues to add little additions to existing functions, but no significant additional functions in some time???
There’s no need for them to add features like that when there are already multiple third party weather apps with that feature. Part of being an OS provider is that you need a vibrant third party developer community, and you don’t get that if you build advanced functionality into the free apps included with the OS.
Need weather radar views? Weather Channel, Weatherbug, Carrot amongst others offer it. Personally, my fav is Carrot.
A native Call Screening feature like that in Google Pixel phones would be nice.
We need a fully customizable equalizer for Apple Music!! It’s long overdue for iOS

I'm blind and use voiceover. I'm excited for the new voiceover features. Sometimes it feels like accessibility is an after thought with these new updates. I just hope none of the previous accessibility is broken or there are no major accessibility bugs as this sometimes happens.

Please add the zoom out gesture to CarPlay it isn’t that hard. It’s really unsafe to click buttons to zoom out instead of using gestures

That has some privacy concerns but imagine instead of Siri the phone would be “conscious”, situation aware and listening all the time. For example you’re at a party, you say “let me take a picture” and the phone opens the camera before you even pick it up or you’re at the doctor and while he’s saying the appointment details the phone already wrote a reminder and put in the Calendar. I know battery drain and ML would stress the phone but that’s just my imagination and it doesn’t seem so impossible in the future with new battery and tech efficiency. I’d like to think that Steve would’ve thought of something like that with all the AI implementations.
They really need to add end dates for individual medication in the Health app.
