    Hey Toyota, how about installing a hydrogen a refilling station at everyone of your Toyota and Lexus dealerships from California to Texas. That way I could at least find one when I need a fill up.

    As an owner of this car, I can confirm that it is amazing. Luxurious ride, beautiful inside and out, smooth as silk and super quiet. And, it doesn't look like a funky EV. Fueling infrastructure still needs work, but it's improving. Toyota is working on solid state battery that is denser and lighter than current batteries. Once they come out with that and tack it onto the Mirai with a plug in charger, we'll have a great, dual fuel hybrid. Raise the chassis, slot 3X/4X that battery under the car and it's game over. Easily 600+ mile range from an EV that can charge (at home or on the road) and refuel within 5 mins. Isn't that the holy grail? Forget brown or green hydrogen. Forget super charging. An EV that can make use of both fueling infrastructure is the perfect replacement for all ICE vehicles. It also allows existing gasoline infrastructure (gas stations) to be converted to hydrogen/electric charging stations. In addition, it encourages investment in either infrastructure, which accelerates our much needed migration away from fossil fuel.

    Thank you Toyota for continuing hydrogen research. Electric only is not the future whether people like it or not. The power grid can barely handle people using their air conditioners here in california it's wild they think that compounding high electricity usage by houses etc will be able to even add 20% more electric cars to the grid without severely having to revamp our power issues.

    • @kaovilai
      @kaovilai 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fuel cell is also electric propulsion only. It also in fact have batteries.. just much smaller.
      The power grid argument is moot with automatic charge scheduling. Average energy per day by a normal family car extracted from the grid is fairly small compared to weekly air conditioning power usage.

If this technology was implemented on widescale, wouldn't we just trade one gas for another? Seriously I'm not trying to be a naysayer, I'm trying to understand how this would help in the long run. Based on Lexus LS platform, built in LS factory. The interior of Camry and Mirai can’t have been more dissimilar. This is a luxury car in all aspects

    I really wish we had Hydrogen stations in Texas. This would for sure be my next car. Especially since it is RWD.

    Now we just need a GR version of this car, and Toyota has my full respect 4 this car (I’ve never been a believer that the future only belongs 2 electric power, and this proves that hydrogen can hang with the best EVs). Also, pls follow through with the hydrogen engine in the Fuji Corolla. I want 2 c that

    I find it interesting that the overall exterior of the Mirai looks similar to that of the Japan-exclusive Toyota Crown Royal Saloon (15th Gen).

      The crown royal is that the taxi of Japan?

      @@Menga213 That would be the Crown Comfort, a different car. That said, the standard Crown was frequently used as a taxi in the past.
