    Toyota engineers did a great job designing the Mirai. It is out of my price range, but if I had to choose I would get a limited in either white or black. The elegant chrome wheels really stand out.

      Hydrogen in cars a is stillborn obsolete technology. The only reason H2 cars are built at all is to access juicy subventions. It is a scam machine masquerading as futuristic thing.

    Serious talk why can't we get the GR Corolla? The dealership are Marking them up to much. And they are probably not selling well. Then you guys will discontinue it because it didn't have enough demand. 😑 because of greedy dealers/scalpers.

    Better car for future. Hoping this takes low maintenance, but still a good features. hoping people establish more H2 fuel stations like they do for gas stations in future. BEV is not the true future, FCEV is the future, I’m confident. Toyota need to start expanding ventures of introducing hydrogen cell into heavy trucks, public transport then people realise how feasible they are compared to rechargeable battery packs

    Just saw the bew land hopper being released next year, unfortunately it still has the downfall the original fjcruiser had in that its not a wrangler/bronco competitor and never was as it's not a removable top, doors, fold down windshield like the actual fj40 was, and if it's truly as small as the article says, bronco sport sized then it's unfortunately more of an escape competitor as that's what the bronco sport actually is underneath, toyota'd be far better off bringing back a full size fj with the proper features to make it actually compete with wrangler and bronco and release it for less than 40k at the highest trim level and they'd send both into a panic taking tons of business and loyalty from Ford and jeep

    This doesn't make sense. This is basically a slow electric car, which you cannot charge at home and instead have to rely on a few places which sell hydrogen which you pay for, instead of charging your electric car at home from solar panels for free.
    Why isn't Toyota selling hydrogen generators, which we would run with renewable electricity, to fuel up this car for free at home? Perhaps it's because they want us dependent on our cars, and our cars dependent on them and the system so that they have control over us!? ....
    The only positive is that it can be fueled up quickly, instead of waiting to charge, but unless you're regularly going large distances, this would never really matter to you.
    This is a clean car, but as proven with science, we don't want less C02, we want more. Everything gets better with more C02 in our planet.
    Everything is a lie and upside down in this world.
    Not to mention that you re bombarded with radiation from the electric motor just like with electric cars .... which can't be healthy, there are thousands of studies on the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation.

    Toyota should focus on making hydrogen cheap and clean. At 55¢/mile to drive, it's the cart before the horse. It's like Elon starting an electric car company with electricity costing $2.20/kWh.

      But you’ll never get that. The stations never have enough H2 so they cap what you can put in or they are always down.
      The car itself however is Lexus level.

    • @hemanthatluri5223
      @hemanthatluri5223 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Better to expect lower number. But still a good one. hoping people establish H2 fuel stations like they do for gas stations, this is the only limiting factor stopping from bringing it to market.

    • @TobyCostaRica
      @TobyCostaRica 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hemanthatluri5223 it will never be adopted. I’m a former leaseholder. The stations are incredibly expensive and fail often, trucks take a long time to top off the station, and on top of that it’s more expensive than gas. It wouldn’t survive without Toyota providing free fuel. But seeing that they completely refreshed it so quickly when their ICE vehicles go 14+ years tells me they invested very heavily into it. I averaged 170 miles to a tank, a good tank on the last Gen was 245 but I’ve gotten that maybe 5 times in 3 years. The rest of the time would be the compressor couldn’t fill to 700 bar, or not enough H2 to go around. So instead of fully filling 10 cars, they’ll half fill 20 cars.
      If you want to top off for a trip, too bad it will stop and give you half a tank.

    • @hemanthatluri5223
      @hemanthatluri5223 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TobyCostaRica must be a hiccup in evolution. Same situation for smart phones on early 2010s, designs are lame, battery drains faster, slow browsing etc. Later on, few more innovations happened, once profits are seen, more companies invested, competition took place, look at smart phones now. I’m hoping the same happens to hydrogen. My idea is, to install mini electrolyzer (maybe the size of a pickup truck) at station itself, refilling tanks round the clock so it will cut costs of transportation and no time lost for topping off. All we have to do is pour some distilled water and electricity and maintain storage tanks.

    It is now November 2023 and the price of 1 kilogram of hydrogen has passed $36 in California and it does not look like it's stopping there. This basically means that you need $200 to fill up this car and then this $200 will barely give you 250 miles of range. Just think about this for a second, it will cost you $200 to travel 250 miles.
    Toyota is also lying about 400 miles range on “full tank”. All you have to do is do a little bit of Googling to see that most people that purchased this vehicle are not even getting 200 miles let alone 250 on a full tank of gas. An average Electric car will go over 5000 miles for $200.
    This has to be one of the most insane thing I have ever seen, and I feel truly sorry for people who got scammed into buying this thing. It's almost 2024, electric cars globally are now selling in millions and sales are growing. Toyota has no viable vehicle in the electric market.

    I can't believe that Toyota still lies about the 402 miles range. In real life we get 260-280 if you drive slow. Also, how about Toyota tells the truth about hydrogen "availability"? Maybe you should mention that price of hydrogen 3x in the last 3 years and it costs $180 to drive 260 miles? Don't forget to tell people there is a fuel shortage and you pay for our rentals!
    DO NOT BUY THIS CAR
    Also, Toyota people are you aware of the class action lawsuit on the way?

      @hemanthatluri5223 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The numbers you mentioned are probably from 2019 model. This is 2023 one. As for hydrogen availability, that’s still an challenge. No one wants to put money on building stations while Toyota can’t mass produce without sufficient availability of fuel for current use. More solutions will come making cost of hydrogen much lesser in future (I won’t be surprised if they sell 350 miles for $90), stay optimistic. FCEV is more promising than BEV in long term future

      Do you have enough pressure to fill the tank? This car has 10,000 psi tank storage.

    If your bring a new Landcruiser, delay on bringing a new 4runner until the Landcruiser has been sold a few years. This way you keep the current 4 runner if it is selling well, and let some younger people get into Landcruiser before the launch of 4runner. As long as 4runner still sells, keep it as long as your can.
