Correct me if I'm wrong you could have the other axle in the frame took off the air tanks made a bobtail turn it into a pickup truck that's slick.

Mine started as a Penske rental (18' box) truck... But I opted to keep mine with about 11' of frame behind the cab. Is yours a pretty rough ride with the heavy suspension and no weight?

Nice! What air suspension kit did you use?

Грузовик 👍. Только передний бампер "жидковат" для такого монстрика, чуть помощнее б, более силовой.

Did it originally have Dayton style wheels? How did you convert them?

How did you get the brake calipers to clear the wheel? I got hydroboost on my topkick too and the rotors are huge and doesnt look like anything smaller than my 22.5 wheels will clear them. I want 20 inch military wheels but want to keep mine dually

If you don't need front wheel drive you don't need front wheel brakes either ???? correct..

@@mikeskidmore6754 i dont know if i u understand your question but you need brakes at all four corners and your front brakes do the majority of the work for stopping power.

@@TeamTopKick What REally you must be joking.. Did you know the borad Track racers ran over 100 MPH with no Throttle and No BRAKES .. ?? Only people who don't know how to drive need brakes on all 4 wheels..
I told you that my Duramax pickup can't even get out of my own driveway when there is 3" of snow on the ground...
I would guess that maybe an empty disel pickup has 70% of the weight on the front wheels .. that's why 4 wheel drive is so Necessary ..
Doesn't it make more sense to add a transfer case and front driving axle to a picup as opposed to adding a bunch of dead weaight in the Box.. If you have Ballast then you can't haul an actual pay load..
If you are not hamiling something then it would be far cheaper to drive a small car.. A small car does not pull my tandem axle snowmobile trailer very well..
I have ridden motorcycles most of my life.. the Front brakes and rear brake are speperate..
yes one could conclude that the front brake is important as when you stop really hard the rear wheel can leave the ground..
I stopped my Yamaha YZ-80-A once on the front wheel .. I was going through some curves fast on a hill when and Old Lady in a Cadilac hung a U-Turn in front of me in the Middle of rthe road.. yes I did a stop on the front wheel.. ahd i got stopped before I hit her.. I turned sideways to her car and licked a Big Dent on her Rear door to wake her up ..
My friend was not so lucky .. He was riding his Brand new Yamaha TT-500 it started raining really hard.. An old Lady pulled to the shoulder of the road.. Just as he passed her she hung a U Tiurn .. and he ran into the side of her car and broke his leg in 7 Places..
He never did built that Bike into an Alcohol and Nitromentane burning Hill Climber like he plannned to do.. He was trying to upgrade from his Hard Tailed BSA Twin Hillclmber ..
Flat Track race bikes used to have no brakes until about 1971 then they atrated allowing them to rund a rear brake .. On TT Coruses they run brakes front and rear..

Cool Truck but rear wheel drive is Useless even on pavement in the Winter.. Converting to 4 wheel drive is a huge job..
I am guessing what you call a 6.6 would be a 3116 Cat

It’s not useless when the truck is that heavy.. even the state plow trucks are 2wd. That being said it’s not something that was driven in bad weather anyway

@@RidesByRyan I live in Michigan .. I can't even get out of my own driveway wiht a Duramax if I don't put it in 4 wheel drive..
I have a Chevy C-65 tandem axle with super singles and knobby tires.. spreading lime it's stuck all the time .. I also have a 6 wheel drirve FWD with full lockers as it came that way in 1968 Tractioneer .. and 50" tall 31" wide rear tires and 20" wide 50" tall front tires..
I get stuck from time to time .. if the farmers fields are muddy I have to load light ..
I almost bought a C-65 single axle with a dump and snow plow on it but it was 4 wheel drive it had a Marmon Harrington front wheel dirve kit on it ..
I will never own another rear wheel drive pikcup as long as I live.. I like to pull my snowmobile trailer..
If you ever checked out snow plow trucks that work where it snows al lot and where there are Mountis they all run 4 wheel drive .. carry weight and often have to run tire chains too ..
Wlater Trucks are long gone.. FWD only makes a few air port plow and snow blower trucks .. So Oshkosh and Mac are the onny ones left..
Besides a stock 366 does not have enough power to pull anything at the speed limit .. Neither did the stock 427 that's why I built mine into 488 cubes with a toquer cam in it added at least 50% more power and at lower RPM's no less..

Oppss I commented on a truck like this with a 366 gas in .. the 3116 is a good engine but so heavy you need 4 wheel drive.. no pavment Princess for me ..

You've never driven a heavy vehicle in the snow. On a snowy street you dont need 4wd when the vehicle is crazy heavy. You get tons of traction

@@wigletron2846 When they Plow snow in the Mountians they use 4x4 and 6x6 with chains.. I drove my C-65 Chevy with 445 x22.5 radials in I-69 at 50 MPH and if I gave it some gas I could spin the wheels at 50 MPH .. another Semi went flying buy me and 1 mile up the road he was in the ditch ..
