  • Portuguese dishes you NEED to try… ALL IN ONE DAY!
With only 1 day in Porto to really explore the food, there was only one option: the ultimate Porto food tour!! Fitting in as many of the top traditional Portuguese dishes as possible into a few hours wasn’t easy… but you know I like to suffer for my art.
I spent a lot of time researching the ‘top dishes you need to try in Porto’ and created a list, trying to check off as many as possible. I’m pretty pleased with what we were able to eat!
    Where we ate:
    Casa Guedes- Pork Sandwich
Praça dos Poveiros 130, 4000-393 Porto, Portugal
    Café Santiago- FRANCESINHA
    R. de Passos Manuel 226, 4000-382 Porto, Portugal
    Confeitaria Império- Croquetes
Rua de Santa Catarina 149, 4000-381 Porto, Portugal
    Manteigaria- portuguese tart/Pastel de nata
Rua dos Clérigos nº37, 4050-205 Porto, Portugal
    Santini- gelato
    R. das Flores 87, 4050-266 Porto, Portugal

The dessert at 7:08 is ovos moles (soft eggs), if I am not mistaken, or a derivation thereof.

Sharing a custard tart should be illegal. "Pasteis de Nata" from "Manteigaria" are awesome. Thanks for visiting Portugal :)

Portuguese from Porto and... sorry. No clue what there was inside that tart. Definitely not a Pastel de Natal I guess I`ll have to go to Império and find out.

Wtf, the vibe is so spanish?
Ah croquetes is a version spanish? Wtf!!!
Spanish croquetes is a version of portuguese croquetes, thats the true.
Portuguese people dont like that's comparations with spanish people.
Portugal is Portugal, spain is spain.
    And Portugal is away better.

Cafe Santiago is not a better site to enjoy Francesinhas…and this is not a cultural typic dish of Porto locals…you must be informed by true local people and not for tourism offices…Shame!
