i had very basic head up display in ...2006 !!! ( i guess it was veypor brand) red leds showing speed and gear. It was... fantastic in town, no more time lost to look down at speedo to keep allowed speed. I realized that even we are used to do it, we don't really realize how much time spent without focusing on road...
Im glad i came across this. i got the impression that the display was projected on the windscreen. The time it takes for you to take your eyes off the road could cost you more than 550.00.
Good review and definitely interesting gadget to test! But most of all I would love to hear honest review on rear cam functionality. How does feel? Is the angle wide enough? Is it clear to see who's behind you in the dark with the headlights? How fast it will drain the battery? And what if you keep this thing in front of you, but not on the top? Similar to use of standard HUD in the car. Can you see it through? Man, I wish one day they will come up with the device, that will project the image on the back of your visor - that would be a game changer! I know there are tons of different visors with or without pinlocks, but with some level of available adjustments clear image should be achievable!
Thanks. Could you also talk about the rear view display? That could be even more useful than GPS as the rear view mirrors are a pain to keep glancing into.
I use tilsberk hud it's compact and works very well no wires not bulky. It has its own app but integrates with calimoto and works perfect. I can't ride without it now. I got an email however saying the company was liquidating but there is support the guys said they will be back.
I like the idea of it, but I think I would like to see it like in a store or something where they're pre-installed on a helmet. So that way you could pop a helmet on and try it for yourself before making a purchase to see if you liked it. Again it is a really cool idea, be awesome if they partnered with Garmin so that way you always had gps
I'm curious about how well people with prescription lenses will be able to see the screen, especially older riders who may lack close vision. Is it possible to adjust focus to individual eyes?
People wearing prescription glasses can use MOTOEYE normally. Its display module is outside your prescription glasses, and you can see it like normal road conditions. You can see the HUD image with just a slight lift of your eyes. Don't worry too much about focusing, as it is a See Through display module that allows you to easily see the content outdoors.
Good insight on most of it however you didn't really cover the rear camera as much. I'd recommend altering the vid with maybe going over the quality of that in day/night and maybe inclement weather. Nice review in all tho brotha

Ultimately I agree with you and took it out. It only takes a second to loose focus and bam.

I am wondering if this will work with prescription glasses.

Yes if they partnered with Garmin, then maybe I could see everyone on a group ride offroad.

I found that it was quite adjustable with the distance and angle, I'm not sure about prescription lens adjustment though
