Even as a little girl, I just adored Vincent Price. What a presence he was with his voice and stature, and his charming personality. I've read he was a very kind man who was so nice to everyone, appreciated art and cooking. I miss seeing him.
Back in the 1970s, I adored Vincent Price too, and I even had a crush on him from late 1973 to mid-1978. I watched every TV show he appeared in at that time, including his appearances on The Hollywood Squares as a semi-regular panelist, and, of course, The Carol Burnett Show, and I am still a fan of his to this day, some 29 years after his death in 1993.
A lot of people think he was British, but he was born in St. Louis and raised in Connecticut. One of his ancestors was the first colonial born in Massachusetts on the Mayflower.
When Joan Rivers does "Rhonda" and exclaims "Well, I'm back New York...New York, this is your last chance!!!" and immediately gets mugged it CRACKS me up every time
Watching the Carol Burnett show brings back memories of me spending time with my maternal grandmother . This show makes me feel happy it helps me get through my bad days.
When I was a little girl I first saw Vince on The 10 Commandments as Baka and I loved how he has a commanding presence and voice then I realized he was on Thriller he was very funny on Jack Benny and I lmao on this sketch I love the Carol Burnett Show and my Mom’s first name is Carol excellent job Carol and all the actors and actresses and writers 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This is an extra special show! I love Vincent Price, Joan Rivers, and a cameo of the great, Tony Orlando and Dawn! And of course, Dear Carol, Vicki and my man Harvey! Great memories from my childhood. 😍😀👍🌹🌹⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Vincent Price was a national treasure he was funny, and was excellent for his scary movie scenes. I rem seeing something on TV that he had either royal blood or something like that. May he RIP. He also starred in the old batman series back in the sixties as a bad guy.
Yes he was!! He portrayed Batman's nemesis '''Egghead'. It was only 2 episode's, I recall. Vincent Price, was one of America's (if not, the world) greatest, horror film actor's.
I was always really freaked out by Vincent Price as a kid. He was the best at playing evil characters. But watching him do comedy, and hearing him talk offstage/off camera was quite refreshing later in life. He was actually a nice man!! Of course, he did not want others to think of him as the sinister men he usually played!
I was honored to meet Joan Rivers. I worked 3rd shift at QVC. She admired my watch (a gift from another guest). She ended up selling similar watches. She had a huge vocabulary. I was stunned, and she was tiny...5' or less. My husband gave me a rock. I'm the only wife...over 32 years. The play improved after the understudies ran into them...over and over again.
One of my favorite episodes of The Carol Burnett Show, featuring Vincent Price and Joan Rivers, and some of my favorite sketches; The Author, The Understudies, TV Vignettes, The Walnuts, and Sarah and the Moose, in that episode.
31:27 LOL! I always loved the Rhoda Season 1 credits. Very creative. "Myyy name is Rhoder Mogenstern...I was born in the Bronx in Decemba, Nineteen Foty One."
Joan Rivers has All- ways have been a glamorous Woman ? But her clothing in Qvs was not what I expected Her to sell!!! For The fashion of Today's women's closet!!!
Tony Tallehasse! I'm DYING 🤣😂🤣🤣😂 Vincent Price had a comedic streak. Carol, if you're reading this, I LOVED your Charo impersonation.! On a slightly more serious note, I don't know why Joan Rivers was always so down on her looks. She was pretty. It was after she had those cosmetic surgeries that she got hideous.
Nothing as ever taken the place of the Carol Burnett sitcoms. Those today are so political, racist conscience, and full of sexual innuendoes that they never will compare to Carol Burnett's shows.
I love Carol Burnett. I think she was one of the most talented, versatile and creative comedians in TV. I wish, though, she would’ve focused strictly on this incredible skill. Unfortunately, when she sang, I always felt (and still feel) an overwhelming urge to either leave the room, or skip over these singing attempts. While she did have proper pitch within a limited range, the volume was so over-the-top bombastic and the tone so harsh, it made me cringe. Her singing was like a foghorn blasting in an echo chamber, combined with a monotonous, ear-piercing sound of a leaf blower. Plus, I would (and still do) fast-forward all the schmaltzy musical and dance numbers.
Joan Rivers was an extremely hard-working, funny and creative comedian. Unfortunately, in her later years , while she could have tastefully done a reasonable amount of plastic surgery on her face, instead, she made herself look like a scary cartoon character.
Waiting for the woke to try and ruin this show and these great people. I can see them trying to cancel them because of skits like Charo and the Man. Even though any portrayal is in jest or in admiration. Oh and Viki Lawrence will always be one of my top ten poster girls. Man I had such a thing for her...
Even as a little girl, I just adored Vincent Price. What a presence he was with his voice and stature, and his charming personality. I've read he was a very kind man who was so nice to everyone, appreciated art and cooking. I miss seeing him.
A dear friend was his regular waitress in our community. She still talks about what a funny n kind guest he always was

@@darrellmortensen9805What I'd give to talk to her for a few hours. 💖
I've always liked him too!😋
My mom and I loved watching black and white scary Vincent Price movies when i was a kid ...im 60 now.
There was more talent on that stage that night than an entire season for one of the major networks today.
Absolutely! It's sad how much everything seems to have gone down since my childhood in all areas of Entertainment!
Harvey Korman could play ANYONE, from Tony Orlando to Clark Gable! What an awesome talent! ❤
Joan Rivers is still my all time favorite comedienne! I love her, may she Rest In Peace…
Agree. I’ll never forget her line: my boyfriend is so dumb, he saw a sign that said “wet floor.” So he did.
May she Rest in Pease! 😢😢😢
Oh, she was really talented and a true class act, wasn't she? Spaceballs...
Loved Vincent and his wife hawking bug zappers! It was so funny!
I LOVED her whenever she subbed for Johnny!
'The Carol Burnett Show', the sweetest & craziest Comedy Shows
Love Vincent Price. His voice and accent are like a mellifluous stream of evil. 🎃
I thought of you when the notification for this popped up.
A lot of people think he was British, but he was born in St. Louis and raised in Connecticut. One of his ancestors was the first colonial born in Massachusetts on the Mayflower.
@@awakenyewhosleeprealityisn4860 whoa! Wow! That’s cool.
@@mls_words_of_wisdom Did you see one of his last performances in “Edward Scissorhands”? It’s so sad when his character dies. 🥹
@@awakenyewhosleeprealityisn4860 yes. I saw that movie when it came out and haven’t since. I should watch it again.
Love this❣️
RIP Vincent, Joan, Harvey,

I really miss these kind of shows. Terrific actors and so funny! NZ. 🤗
Watching the Carol Burnett show brings back memories of me spending time with my maternal grandmother . This show makes me feel happy it helps me get through my bad days.
Same here I used to watch it all the time with my grandmother back in the 1970's. When I fell in love with Vicki Lawrence.
Vincent price was and is a great actor his films are awesome love em, ashame he is not with us no more.
Chico and the man, I haven't thought about that showing 35 years. It was classic!
So many great moments in this show, but Tony Orlando & Dawn's surprise appearance tops them all.
Joan was on fire in this set! She was SOOOOO great!
I think she really hit her stride in the early 80s.
This shows are truly priceless and timeless ✨💎🫶👏👏✨
Carol said she’d still be doing this! Bring the show back!
She was doing personal appearances until Covid hit! I was supposed to see her in March of 2020! ❤

The Tony Tallahassee skit (Tony Orlando and Dawn) shows a whole new side of Harvey Korman! :)
Something to watch tonight! Thanks.
I had not seen this episode before, I loved that end piece truly creative and well performed.
One of my favorite episodes of The Carol Burnett Show, featuring Vincent Price and Joan Rivers, and some of my favorite sketches; The Author, The Understudies, TV Vignettes, The Walnuts, and Sarah and the Moose, in that episode.
I love this episode
"The Walnuts" was a beautiful parody digest of two actual episodes of the series.
The closing narration was perfect.
I loved watching Carol Burnett as a child. Really funny, today happens to be Saturday and my birthday, just like the Peter and the Wolf story!
That Dawn parody was priceless! 😂
Vincent Price is so charming
Joan Rivers doing crowd work. LOLZ that was good.
I was 12 when this show was on, she was great, tim Conway, Harvey were so funny.
29:36 dang.!!!! Chiquita can REALLY move.!!!!!! 😍🥰😘
Joan Rivers was hilarious and her self deprecating comedy was so funny I loved her so much. RIP Joan 😪
tv spoof the best
OMG, Joan Rivers! And the voice - Price - less!
31:27 LOL! I always loved the Rhoda Season 1 credits. Very creative. "Myyy name is Rhoder Mogenstern...I was born in the Bronx in Decemba, Nineteen Foty One."

wonder why girls of this era were focused on body image, Joan was seen by children in america speaking perhaps to the first gen of anorexic females
The pressure was always there, still is. Joan just spoke about it out loud.
Was great, except for the creepy bestiality.
Get a life. It was HUMOR, not to be taken seriously. Don't get offended so easily!!!
