Have you built a client portal in ClickUp? If so, how did you make it enticing enough for your clients to actually USE it? 🤔

Love your work. How do I reach out to access your consulting services?

I created a client portal template and really like it. It had everything I have been wanting out of a portal.
But then I viewed it on the mobile app and I hate it! I know their mobile app isn't that great, but I have a few clients that rarely use a computer. So everything has to be mobile-friendly.
My biggest beef with it is that I can't get the "welcome to your portal" widgets to be at the top.

Love this design, unfortunately it is a MESS on mobile as the items don't load top to bottom, they load 'fastest to slowest' (according to CU support so your images will end up randomly out of order with the content they reference. Looks super embarrassing :( so make sure to check how it looks on mobile :(

Hi, thanks for the video. I am currently creating a dashboard and just want to show Activ Tasks from A List where Client X is active. However i cant find a way to filter for the a Relation Field. Is that no possible? Because we've build a Ticketing System in Clickup and add clients to there tickets with relations. The clients are tasks and stored in a separate list.

I’ve just changed the colours of all my custom labels to be lovely, calm colours. I used a paint palette to get complimentary colours and a colour picker to get their hex codes. It looks great now. I love it.

I've just added my pie chart and it doesn't match the colours of my statuses for some reason. Think I'll be raising a ClickUp bug 🐛

Thanks for diving into the dashboard functionality. I like the ability to embed vs not some of these things like the task list.

Hi Layla, nice video. Could you make a complementary video explaining the difference between the the status "Done", "Achived / Closed" and archiving a task? Thank you if you already have some content about it. I didn't find anything on this topic.

Would you recommend adding a seperate folder per client in an internal workspace or creating a dedicated workspace for clients apart from an internal workspace?

    • @LaylaPomper
      @LaylaPomper  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question!
Aside from a Client portal, we definitely recommend having some client Folder, List, or task inside of ClickUp if you don't have a designated CRM tool that you're using.
In our ProcessDriven Membership, we have Decision Trees created to help members determine what level of the hierarchy their clients should be placed at.
It's not a one-size-fits-all, there are many factors within your client process, and ClickUp features that determine the best placement in the hierarchy.

    LAYLA!! LAYLA!!!
I must say you are an angel sent to us!!! I have just started using Clickup and must admit: Without your clarity and enthusiasm I would be lost with this incredible tool!
Now I am trying to create a panel with all my files assets. Say I want to build a page in which each block would have a file description and also the file inside there. How could I do that?
    Many thanks for your help!!!!!!

This would be an excellent question to ask inside of the ProcessDriven Collective, our free Facebook group! There are people from all over the world in there sharing their experiences and giving advice and tutorials. I think you'll really enjoy it! Here's the link to jump in: processdriven.co/group

    Hi,
first of all, thank you for this video. This is exactly what I was looking for. 😀
But I have a few questions about it and I hope you can answer them...
I would use such a dashboard to make it available to customers for a project.
Questions: I have to invite the customer as a guest, right?
For this, the customer has to register/login to ClickUp, right?
Is there any way around this?
I don't like to "expect" customers to sign up for a tool they may not even want.
Do you understand what I mean?
    Thanks for your answer! 🙂
    Best regards from Germany.

Currently, we can not share Dashboards publicly across the web so your customer would have to be a guest. You can read what you can share with non-guests here: help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/6309239460119-Intro-to-sharing#

Layla...thanks for the great video. I'm so confused on how to share my dashboard with external clients. I watched your Guest vs. Public share video, but i'm still confused. It seems like the only way for someone to see this beautiful dashboard is if they have a clickup account...is this correct?

    • @LaylaPomper
      @LaylaPomper  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there,
      Great question! You're correct.
If you want to share a Dashboard with your external client, they will have to create an account. Publicly sharing a Dashboard is a highly voted for feature request (clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/support-publicly-shared-dashboards)
The only way to share information with a client who does not have a ClickUp account would be to provide them with a Publicly Shared view.

Hey Layla! Random question - do you know the dimensions of your header image in your client portal template?

Unfortunatley, I do not remember the dimensions we used.

Just found your videos recently...great content! If I want to create a beautiful dashboard to interact with my coaching clients, do I invite clients as a guest? Are there settings that allow some client (public) facing areas and some private areas (for my viewing and editing only)? Also, do I need a business plan in order to do this? Thx!

Q - When building out your dashboard is there a way to increase the horizontal scroll? I'm having trouble make my widgets fit as there is a limit on how wide the dash can be...

    • @LaylaPomper

Not that I know of. 😢 You can add a lot of vertical height, though!

  • @karenyu582

how many clients you can invite to clickup? I thought it is very limited.

    • @LaylaPomper

It’s based on how many Guests your plan allows and what access you need.
Contact ClickUp support to confirm your plan details! 🙂

Great vid. Too bad free external guests can't do much actions on click up unless you turn them into internal guests which are just paid members
