ISINSCOPE and HASONEVALUE functions in DAX and Power BI Desktop

  • In this video we look at working with totals in DAX and being able to identify the total row with the ISINSCOPE, HASONEVALUE and ISFILTERED functions.

    Excellent examples and explanations. But I have a problem working with Matrix visualisation and using 3-4 level grouping + calculating average values. At the row level everything is fine, but in the final totals and subtotals depending on the level of expanding madness happens. Examples with more complex situations that happen in a real environment would be great.
