Hello My Beautiful friend. I make this same recipe but in a small tart muffin pan they are so delicious. Stay sweet and beautiful😍💗
I just love these. These are similar to a traditional dessert my Grammi used to make every Christmas but she called them Pecan Tassies and she did the miniature bite sized pan and chilled her dough for at least 30 min before forming it into the pan. She also chopped her pecans small for a better ratio for their mini size. I have continued her tradition and they truly are one of the first things to go around our Christmas Dinner table.

My mom makes them every year. We also call them pecan tassies too

I wish you would do a fruit cake cookie. I absolutely love fruit cake, and I bet having a fruitcake cookie would be the most delicious thing.

Anne, I am in Ohio too. My mother who passed away in 2016 made mini pecan tarts. Sometimes she would make them with chocolate in them. Loved those! Perfect memories. Thank you, Paula, for showcasing them.

That looks so good Paula. I have a recipe for Pecan Tarts that calls for a Mini Tart Pan. I may have to make these. I haven’t made these since the 1970’s. I think I need to buy a larger Mini Tart Pan. Thanks for the recipe. I also used to make Rum Balls. They were always the hit of the staff Christmas Party. Love ya.

Paula, have you written anywhere or discussed anywhere how and when you were able to quit smoking? Im struggling and very curious how you went about it… (was it due to a health scare? Probably would help me quit, but i dont want to get sick)

What a great idea to make cupcake size pecan pies. I'm like you, Paula, I could eat the whole dang pie!! Easy to make and boy, they look delicious.
I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to make mini, bite size ones. It would just take a little longer. Great for Christmas platters and baskets. I'm gonna give em a try.

Just curious though, do you spray the muffin pans? So they don't stick? Plz and thanks.
In the video, Paula said she'll spray the tins before adding dough
We make a similar recipe and you do not spray the pan. In fact that could make it harder to shape the dough up the sides. There’s so much butter it releases easily. One thing that does make it stick is if your dough doesn’t go all the way to the top of the pan and the sugar mixtures touches the pan. If that happens release with a butter knife.

I made these and they flopped. Not sure what I did wrong but they rose and spilled out of the pan and then I couldn’t get them out….oh well…..😂
I hope the mixer isn’t plugged in while you’re putting the beaters in and taking them out. I know a woman who absolutely mangled her fingers by doing that.
