Using beam2, sub3 and pair of sls for my pc gaming set up beam around an arms length away and the the rears just behind my chair around 30cm away with the sub under the desk by my feet. Sounds incredible in 5.1 playing MW2 😁
our upstairs tv recently moved for... reasons.. and now that it's crammed in my gaming room/home office, i really needed different speakers as it's now a lot more in use.
That's a big shame that True play only works with Ios, I don't have that. My brother does though, so maybe I can ask him to come here and do it that way. I assume it's a one time thing only, right?
I plan to get this soundbar for my Samsung S95B TV and Xbox Series X. But I have heard there are quite a few cases of audio delay with Xbox with this bar. Especially when set to Atmos in the Xbox. Did you get this right?
Do you also get audio dropouts when outputting lpcm 5.1 to the beam? Apparently it occurs with devices that are not connected to hdmi 1, but port 3 and 4. Nintendo switch surround is an easy test. Or ps5/xbox/atv with 5.1 output (7.1 is fine somehow)

I have the arc,but if you want beam with surrounds it will sound much better surrounds speakers makes a Huge difference and when you put the sub it will take you to another level
Soooo annoying Sonos can't make the app more compatible with top end Samsung phones as it was why they lost a sale with me. Was very close to getting an arc and or beam. But ended up going Harmon kardon citation series as it's very similar in that you can link up multiple speakers together or even play separate. But it self calibrates itself without the need for any phone.

I own the Sonos Arc surround sound system and the Beam 2 surround sound system. The Arc has 11 speakers total while the Beam 2 has 5 speakers total. The Arc gets much louder overall and because it has twice as many speakers the Atmos effect is better. I'd recommend the Beam 2 for smaller bedrooms and the Arc for a living room or TV room.
Real Dolby Atmos means speakers all round the room and in the ceiling and two or more subwoofer boxes and several amps and possibly a pre-amp, will sound amazing but a lot of boxes and installation.
The dolby atmos system with all the speakers wired is always better but if you want simplicity that really sounds great you will not regret it i have mine with dual subs tha arc and two surrounds and im really enjoying it,i changed my acoustimas 6 with denon amp and klipsh 10 inch sub and i really love the sonos
So sonos is the the apple of sound bars? This sucks ass. I really wanted to like these things but if I am trapped into an eco system with apple and sonos I might have to man up and build a real system again.
Was gonna order a beam and to my surpise there's now a gen 2. Preordered it straight away.
Sounds very impressive! I have a gen 1 but the increased vocal clarity and Atmos on the gen 2 sounds like it will be just what we need!

Highly recommend pairing the new Beam with the 2 Sonos SL as surround speakers, it sounds EPIC when they are all firing

My current beam is wall mounted, concealed cables behind the wall etc with about 5mm clearance between bottom of TV and top of beam.
I also want to use headphones occasionally. Is it possible to connect up headphones and how if it doesn't have Bluetooth?
I have a bigger room and the beam + 2 separation of the speakers will create a bigger stereo image when setup for music.

This compatible with Samsung qn94a? I heard the beam gen 2 didn’t have pass through so it may be an issue for this tv…
If no speaker is firing upward, how do they mange to make it perform that trick?

The Gen1 had issues of lip sync with SkyQ boxes that you were unable to fix due to the video arriving before the audio.
How would you rate getting the beam + sub vs arc standalone?
Should I use the HDMI that comes with or invest in a more expensive one?

I experienced lip sync issues with the Gen 1, especially in 4K HDR. I'm hoping the new processor will now cope with this.

I want to replace an aging Denon AVR with 4 speakers and subwoofer, and all the cabling.
If you want to change it you must go also for 2 surrounds and the sub,i mean the beam alone cannot replace the sounds you have now
So no way to scan the room if you don't have an iPhone?

One of the key deciding factors is that the bass is lacking comparing the beam to the arc.
But it’s still very good!

not everyone wants the hassle of a receiver plus hassle of all the wires etc with various speakers.
