You know what's the real kick in the ass about this order? Not only each member (to a degree) had a part in each of our heroes stories, but they too have first initials that spell out OCTOPATH. An anti OCTOPATH.🤣. You can tell they really tried this time when it came to connecting everyone.

@@TheElementsAreWithMe But H'aanit's final boss and the reason why she started traveling to defeat it, the Red-eye, it's the first sacrifice of Lyblac and the first attempt to resurrect Galdera. So it's connected to the story too. I'd say that the least connected is Tressa.

22:22 - This diary excerpts of the scrivener pretending to be friendly and her brother being the soaring EAGLE shook me a little. Should have guessed the scrivener ain't easy when she kept mentioning her brother w/o being clear on who he was.
That's a really good point. It makes me suspicious when people in games don't explain their relation and who they are. Like in Armored Core 6 there's one character who keeps saying that he's going to talk to "his friend"

Still mad at how they wasted The Dark Hunter like that. She was built up as a formidable threat throughout Ochette’s Chapters. Yet, we never get to fight her and she’s the only Moonshade Order who never interacted with the 8 Travelers.
I agree completely, it really confused me. I wonder if the developers had to rush development.
I've read somewhere that similarly to Roi having been turned into the abomination that attacked Toto'haha in Ochette's first chapter (probably by either Arcanette or Petrichor herself, since she seems to have a special power to corrupt other beings), or Kaldera or Mugen when they tried to tame the Darkness, Petrichor the Dark hunter was actually turned into the Grotesque monster we fight in the middle of the Eternal Night chapter, in the Warden beasts tomb, either because of all the dark weapons she collected (that went into overdrive when the Eternal Night fell), or having been transformed by either Harvey or Arcanette, or even when she was eaten/corrupted by Ochette's final boss (either Akala or Mahina). I mean, it's fairly convenient that she "dies" in the tomb of the Wardenbeasts, right where we just had to fight a mighty big grotesque monster boss that popped completely out of left field !
Maybe the devs might have thought seeing a 3rd supervillain being transformed onscreen by the Darkness might have felt a bit redundant, and decided to leave it offscreen, up to the players to figure out ?
@@jjstarrprod That's true, I've read that too, but in the grand scheme, she still has no presence whatsoever. Even a cutscene of her messing with the sacred beasts after each of Ochette's chapters would have sufficed. Hell you could even have some of her remains be seen if you go to the tomb during Ochette's final chapter.
For me, seeing Kazan turn was the best plot twist I've seen in a long time. I had no idea that dude was evil but it all makes sense now
Actually, i dont trust him in the first. After Mugen fall, he is the last one see the curse blade and it disappear.
@@phatngo3448 yeah he came off super shifty. And he was always in the right place at the right time, always up to something and never being fully honest about it. I never trust anyone who is around powerful rulers who “swears they only want good for the world”. 🙄

@@99999drake yes! So true! That one? No way did I see her as part of the Moonshade order. Since she was a recurring character I figured she might play a larger role in the story later on but wow. That one was a total surprise.
so happy they made this final chapter for the game, it was a little weird in the original one since the true final boss of the game is literally a side quest

Question for those thatve finished the game, who’s story in your opinion is the most messed up. Imo that title belongs to Castti; who’s story I thought at first wouldn’t be too terrible and then towards the middle shit hit the fan.
IMO Throne's story is just BLEAK all around and it's ending comes off much more bittersweet than the others. In terms of 'happy endings' i think the most 'happier' ones are agnes and partito the rest achieve their goals with some trouble along the way. Castii is just a BIT happier than throne's but still bittersweet as while she did save everyone she could, it was her 'student' who did this and killed all her friends. Throne at the end doesn't seem she was able to really 'help' anyone and her freedom was just a unintended consequence of her father's manipulations.
@@itsdantaylor while Throne’s story is bleak in general the twist at the end felt kinda weird to me imo. Castti’s story starts off ok in the beginning then turns dark towards the middle, where in the case of Throne and Osvald their stories start off bleak and messed up you know what you’re getting into.
Easily Throne or temenos chapters, claude was such a fucked up villain and a certain character's death in temenos chapter was just plain sad
@@itsdantaylor I agree. I found myself crying through Castti’s story more than once… especially the last chapter when she talks to Meliathat final time and puts her to sleep. And there’s a part in Castti and Ochette’s crossed paths story the second part where they get separated and as Castti is running through the woods she hears the voice of people from her past, like patients she lost as an apothecary… and one woman’s voice still haunts me as she screams GIVE ME BACK MY HUSBAND! That one ruined me. I was angry at Osvald for not staying home and being more involved with his daughter at the d of his story, that frustrated me. But out of all the emotional stories, Throné’s story is the one that just tops it for me. I chose her as my main and I really related to her story- not in exact situation but I related deeply to her emotions. I was very invested in her story. The big twist at the end as far as family lineage was weird and messed up but it was her fight for her own freedom that got me emotionally. It was the things that happened to her mom, and I felt so badly when you get to the final boss’s castle and hear a newborn baby screaming inside and a poor woman half dead on the stairs asking you to kill her baby because it’ll be better than being condemned to the life of living in that snake pit.
There were so many good small side stories that should’ve gotten fleshed out but because they didn’t I used a lot of my imagination. Like when you inquire with all the NPC’s in every town and learn so much weird fucked up details and then as you travel you’ll realize some people in different towns are connected to each other. It’s so cool. They clearly dedicated a lot of love, effort and time into the stories and writing for this game. This is easily my best game I’ve played in the last few years, easily one of my top 5 of all time. Depending on how good Tears of the Kingdom is going to be, this game is definitely in the running for game of the year.

You go to the campfire and beat the other secret boss by bringing eternal darkness to world and relighting the flames across world to form a x marks the spot in ocean.

Who is Petrichor? I dont remember her in ochette story
That's the first time she appeared- in the extra stories, revealing the missing pieces that works in the background.
She is also mentioned in the ochette route as the dark huntress (without their name)
a few people mention a 'dark hunter' and i think it was implied they were the one who tortured the animal ochette didn't choose to becoming the final boss in ochette's story. They are also mentioned in the journal entries you pick up in the final chapter in the fellsun ruins which kind of spell out a lot of the order of events.
