this helped me record better with my blue yeti. I tweaked the Microphone level to 0.09 on AUDACITY to greatly reduce the backgroud noises. I also applied your suggested processes and it came out very great.

I just watch this basic tutorial just now and I am so happy I was able to learn the very basic quick and very simple. I was really down and thinking not to continue using audacity and use my crappy voice instead till I have found your video tutorial was literally browsing a couple of videos and was so confuse how to go about it. it really means a lot to me learning from this thanks so much and more power to your channel cheers!

Thank you so much! I used to not care about my audio, but since switching to the superior software, Audacity, I've decided that enough is enough with the background humming and the audio spikes.
I have been searching for days on what settings are recommended as I am not exactly an audiophile and can't really tell myself, but every video I found gave mixed answers, sounded bad on my test recording, and didn't ever actually explain or go into detail about each effect. Until this video.
This video is genuinely the reason that my audio is going to sound good from now on in my videos. It was so easy to understand and know what each effect does, sounded good for my test recording (with some minor setting tweaks in effect settings), and didn't tell me to play with my equalizer or bass even though I like my voice how it normally sounds in my mic.
So, thank you so much MrGamersHut, and even though you don't appear to be uploading anymore, I wish you well for the future whether it's on or off TH-cam.

Just recently got tired of using a rocking microphone to try and record music. Always had the money to get a blue yeti but finally decided that I would order it today. Comes in tomorrow 👌! This video was pretty helpful as well, coming from someone who only used noise reduction and an equalizer think it would solve my shitty mic!

Hi, I noticed that top asmr creators started using headphones in their ears with microphones. But when they got more famous they don’t use headphones. I don’t understand how they have done this.?? I have a blue yeti x and iPhone X and a split connector do I need headphones ? How do I not wear headphones like them?

Hi there, great video. I have watched like 300 videos looking for an answer but no luck. When I record I run into two problems, 1) My audio is VERY quiet - no matter what I do, 2) my breath sounds are VERY LOUD... The second one is stupid, I know and I have become a master at editing them out but I am hoping you may be able to help me figure the first one out anyway. I have done everything that has been suggested in videos (aside from foam on the walls - which I am doing this week) but I am a bit lost and new to recording so I have no clue how to fix this issue - any advice? Short of Yelling when doing my voiceovers, is there any other way to enhance the volume? Thanks in advance, and again - great advice :)

Tiffany Scott you don’t transfer them to obs you mute your mic in obs and press record on audacity and record on obs and the do the video . Then stop both and add the settings onto the audacity recording . Then export it as an mp3. Add this to your editing software along with your video and line the audio and video up . Boom your done

You have to be shitting me. You think audacity is the best audio program? Its literally the worst out of all of them. Its free because it's so shite. You could literally just buy a noise reduction plugin for cheep and it would be far more user-friendly and better quality. Not to mention you wouldn't have the shame of having audacity download on your computer.
