I always hoped Peter is just a guy with big dreams. His ideas and features are actually really good. But I guess he got to excited when he talked to people about his games and promised things, that then had to be cut. I think he had good intentions and wanted to make a great game. Why wouldn't he. But yes, then there is his other side, the way he treated that guy who won Curiosity, or throwing a stapler at some employee, the way he abandoned Godus etc... unfortunately he might be indeed an a-hole...

Other than the acorn thing, over time he slowly fulfilled a few promises on a few things by making or planning another instalment, but Milo and Kate was kind of the end of him and after he became a full blown scam artist. It’s not like he doesn’t have ideas or couldn’t make a good game as of now, he just doesn’t deserve to which is why he’s in a weird position now. He had multiple chances with big companies and blew it. They don’t want him, even if it’s what he needs to make something really good.

I really enjoyed it but I never bought into the initial hype so that's probably why. They did actively work to fix their glitches, although some still exist. The roadmap will be revealed soon, again I don't have high hopes. I think devs should look at the positive takeaways from it. The gameworld still feels very much alive. So did Fable when it released, despite it also not delivering on the hype. My two cents, many will disagree.

Watching this now, it's kind of wild about his promise for realtime weather in Black and White. All the while, Microsoft already had this tech working and implemented this feature in their Flight Simulator released a year before. Of course, every Flight Simulator MS did, after that, continued to have said feature.
But him selling an NFT game after 2023? Wow. That couldn't have aged worse for him.

Even today I still believe that Project Milo was never in development or even a concept.
The reveal video was a cleverly crafted piece of deceptive marketing, that used acting and people pretending to be working on making the game.
Maybe at one point Molyneux's over promising was him being passionate, but I seriously doubt that was the case. I think Peter was deceptive because deception got him far in the industry.

All things considered, he did manage to bring some great games with his wacky ideas.
Syndicate, Populous and Black & White were games I really enjoyed...
Speaking of which, Bullfrog also made Dungeon Keeper...
And I liked Fable for what it was.
Even though most of the games weren't what they had been envisioned, they still achieved very interesting goals... Each one is rather unique... Although, as time went by, it seems like it just got more and more shallow and kinda lost itself... There was a spark there, it just died down.
I have to say, he was a master of the god-simulator genre, and even though allot of it was lies, what came out eventually, still gave me a heck of a fun childhood.
So, despite all his faults, that eventually led him to the modern "nothing maker"... He still managed to make awesome stuff, and I have some room of appreciation for it.
Let's admit it... Rather rare to see wacky ideas attempted so much today, and he kept at it until the well dried up.

The thing is about Peter is that he is old and he can piss off fans easily and he did say some things that he shouldnt have said on one of the E3 stages but that was a little controversial moment for him, like the Oak Tree which he shouldnt have done that. I wonder if he is still involved in gaming, he is old but does he have any interest of a new video game or he could go down the Fable route again, Black and White but more improved and can have Co-Op multiplayer online so other people can help you. Has he ever looked at the Xbox Series X and think he could make big open world games even, something like Fable or Fable Open World.
