The music offers no hope, just a temporary solace in a cursed world, like the fading embers of a spent campfire on a bitter and eternal night, giving out its last warmth before it's forever lost to the dark.
Personally DS2 was my first souls game, and I really enjoyed it. Maybe it was because it was the only game I had that could run on my shitty notebook, but I always had a special connection to this game. While not as good as DS1s first half, I find DS2s ambiance much better than the boring grayscale Dark souls 3 has.
@@ayazel5958 I think Ds3 nailed all the castles and cities but all the other areas were that iconic or haunting. Ds2 I think really gets the atmosphere right combined with the level design. Sometimes it does not make sense and it just adds the feeling of hopelessness on top of the artificial difficulty which already makes you feel hopeless.
Stay safe out there everyone…
Thx but same for you man 🤝

Don’t you dare go hollow
Amém brother, God bless you, don't you dare go hollow

It's a shame this track isn't on Spotify. This is one of my most listened to tracks every year, it's perfect.
Thank you so much. I was so bummed out when this was originally taken down. Has helped me through so much thought. Courtesy of the souls community.
Thanks for reuploading. Sucks that the og got taken down :(
The lost comments are the real tragedy. Screw TH-cam and their callous behavior; there should be a way to mass-download comments.
Thanks for this reupload! ☺. This one was a crucial part of my dark fantasy music playlist
Thanks a lot. The original was really helpful for me years ago and I couldn't find it anywhere
Such a fitting photo for the music. Elden Ring may have my favourite menu music, but this one is unbeatable for taking a walk during a cloudy day.
Dark souls 2 really has a unique atmosphere. I know it was a different team working on it. And it has some of the best music
this theme si so deep, nostalgic and emotionnal 🥹❤
The piano on this theme is just so good. What a theme
Imminent tears...
they rereleased the sountracks for all three games on spotify again, and of course, this song was not included. such a tragedy smh.
Aahh finally peace ❤😴
I love this game so much, the people who dislike this game I just genuinely don’t fw at all because of it.
damn the og got taken down. I might revisit DS2 even though i did not like it as much the atmosphere is unmatched.
