Yeah I thought the same thing. I enjoyed this episode, but usually a clip show episode comes in like 4th or 5th season close to when the show is supposed to end.
I loved this episode-if for one thing only, the question of Miko being a glitch. Given everything we know about her: her gaming skills, her fighting ability, her un-reset-ness, it really gives a good argument as to her possibly being a glitch. Even with Fives’ speech at the end, it’s still in the air. It’s probably the biggest mystery of the show so far, aside from what Hinobi’s hiding. It could be a piece of something bigger, or something nobody within the entire Glitch Techs universe would even know or understand! The possibilities are near-endless, and I love that!
Here’s my theory with that. Maybe this whole Bolypius glitch thing and what’s going on behind Hinobi has something to do with the reason as to why Miko can’t reset.
I think Miko was allowed access to the server by a third party and in her implanted something or made her immune to it. Her reflexes could be in par to being the sister of a martial arts student (her little sister) and how she seems to be more antisocial than five. She has reflexes and is quick cause that’s all she gave energy and focus to. Even more being with no friends means she had enough time to keep gaming and becoming beyond a professional gamer almost like an esports champion. Just like a league of legends pro player or even a blizzard gamer. The bad guy would be smart to use an pro player to get glitches and study them in a more practical plain without attracting attention to himself and having a good alibi like her
My theory is that Bolypius was Hinobi's first attempt at Plixel technology, only for it to glitch out and split the character programming and it's physical form. Creating Miko, who Hinobi tried to hide/observe by MIB-ing the Kubota family and implanting her there, after/while Bolypius (I.E the character data given sentience) escaped and started glitching their tech.
It really does suck that the show was basically sabotaged before people even really had a chance to support it, and they've done basically nothing to help that cause beyond putting it on Netflix in the first place.
My favorite part about the show is that they've been implicitly showing a crazy huge tech monopoly, and right at the very end of the second season they give us the tiniest tease that maybe Hinobi has some shady stuff going on behind the scenes.
If there is an indication, Kamp Koral would probably be awful showwise, and not ideal financially. Episodes being rushed out and unfinished, this show retconning canonical information, and disrespecting Stephen Hillenburg’s death is assured that there *will* be less watching this than if Nick/Viacom kept it at SpongeBob (the main show), I thought we were done on the characters as children era anyway. I thought the companies know that this trend is dead. And also, this show being 3D is probably not a good idea, especially for a spinoff series based on a 2D animated series, where the typical thing to do is to be on-budget, and be cheaply made intentionally, or at most be on as much budget as the original. If Kamp Koral was 2D I would expect more of a profit, and if the canon wasn’t retconned, I would think there will be more viewers. More viewers, more popular. More popular, more money, and more reason to continuously air reruns. But for now it’ll only be a rain shower of dollars than an entire tidal wave of cash. Another financial situation is if this is going to be released on TV or online. With televised media dying, and online media growing (the latter due to quarantine), I could certainly find a financial opportunity to release the show online, however with online releases, you can avoid payment, especially if it’s a bad show. This is certainly not the next SpongeBob in a financial level, and I doubt that this will be a long hitter like that show or something like the Simpsons, and I think a good course of idea is to denounce the show, send apologies to lure back in the viewers, and stick to Ol’ Reliable instead of risking a flop. I mean hey! If there is an indication of Disney making remakes and Cartoon Network continuously airing Teen Titans Go, re-airing the old would be a good idea. Speaking of airing, the problem in terms of the TV approach besides TV media dying is the fact that *if* Kamp Koral is a financial success, guess what it has to be rivals with? That’s right! The original! If it is too successful, this could risk the original show, and with the assimilation of SpongeBob, that’ll mean that Nick/Viacom wouldn’t benefit from airing two shows at once because the former is not relevant anymore. This is especially the case as this shows a competitive parasitic relationship, which I’m pretty sure is the reason why The Cleveland Show fell into obscurity. In the case of Animaniacs compared to Tiny Tunes, Animaniacs is just better, and guess what? Animaniacs were long gone until recently, and that’s a reboot, so in the supposedly “best” scenario financially, not only will SpongeBob will be gone, this show will also be gone, and they’ll lose two of their biggest cash cows, flipping it all around to the worst case scenario. In fact, this relationship of competition is actually shown with the original show itself vs. the shows that tried to replicate this, like Sanjay and Craig or Harvey Beaks. Ideally, the shows need to be different enough for both of them to coexist, especially in a non-story driven show like SpongeBob, because in every other scenario similar to this, the competition loses to SpongeBob. I feel like the clipshow format would've been passable if it didn't show two specific scenes: Mitch SECRETLY saving Ridley and Zahra confessing to Miko about her crush on High Five and not showing Five's reaction. Creates a big plot hole

It's probably coming later this month or mid march since they took 6 months to make season 2 from the gap of s1 and s2 (Season 1 release date: February 21st 2020) (Season 2 release date: August 17th 2020) But the end of season 2 was following a storyline so possibly april, but it could be anyday

I can't describe how much I need more of this show. The references, the characters and the bigger plots that need way more attention. I would be pissed if this show was shoved under the rug. It's so fun and I haven't enjoyed a cartoon like this since invader zim and avatar the last airbender. I just wish there was more overarching plot and more to watch. Though I love that it's got longer episodes. It may have short seasons but the episodes are in the 30 minute format. Even then they don't feel long enough lol

Oh! That’s a really interesting theory. I was going to bring up how that wouldn’t make sense seeing that she didn’t seem to recall anything relating to what Mitch and Phil were talking about prior to her and Miko’s dad having their memories wiped. However, if the ending of season 2 episode 10 is any indication, if Miko’s mom was a former Hinobi employee/ executive, it’s more than likely that her memory was erased because she knew too much about something rather important. It’s because of this as to why I’m looking forward to more seasons from this show.

I mean Lexi was in the other room when Mayumi got reset, and she even owns a drone and hard drive too!
This episode did a lot of things that many cartoons have failed at. Made a pretty well done clip show episode, made a fart joke funny, and even made YTPs relevant again.
Another thing about Glitch Techs for me, I personally think that Phil is the 2nd best boss character in animation history. Right behind Benson from regular show.
They really should have put Glitch Techs on Regular tv. Netflix is more niche so it's harder to find stuff. If it came on the main network it would probably get more attention. Oh well, at least they got to make it.
I'm glad Netflix has it. I never would have watched it otherwise and I like the show a lot. Personally I think Netflix has all of the best cartoons. I like the Animaniacs reboot but it's not as good as the original and I like the cartoons on Netflix the most. I have no interest in the cartoons on Cartoon Network.

I love how there is such an easy explanation for the camera angles that the gauntlets record: skinless, phase-able plixels that record them! The whole series is like a whole setup of BITT making a montage of the recordings! I also think that; for some of the angles that show the gauntlet view; is a recording from their glasses
It also makes you realize how sketchy Hinobi is... they have zero privacy, as shown by the simple fact that many of those clips were from their personal lives when not wearing their glitch gauntlets.
Love the animation and designs of this show it's so smooth and colorful. I actually enjoyed this episode, although it feels a little early to do a clipshow they clearly had a lot of fun with this scenario.

Tbh, my first reaction on looking at the poster was the same. One can't really know how well the characters are written by just looking at the poster. When I saw it first, my reaction was "Huh, looks like a generic action/adventure with a heterosexual male and female lead which are definetely gonna make out at the end and oh there's some shitty backround charcters"(I was soo wrong) Then I accidently gave the first episode a watch due to Netflix's autoplay ...best accident of my life. I love how the show incorporates diversity, actually relevant video game references, well-flushed out characters and refreshingly breaking many annoying tropes. Loved it and now I'm forcing my brother to watch this show

One of the things I was surprised to see in this show is the fact that they kind of turned ADHD into a super power of sorts. I don't remember where I read it, but Miko can't be reset because she has ADHD, so if that's true, I would also be immune to resetting. It's kind of cool to know my ADHD would be a shield of sorts in this situation.

True this episode was really important to me! It gave me a lot of theories to think about such as "Anything could be a glitch." (Is how I heard it) Which means humans can be glitches I believe.
Honestly i think a really cool idea for a glitch techs videogame or just any game in general would be having multiple different styles of game within the game, like having a shooter world, then a plataformer world, shitty mobile game full of microtransactions and ads world, 2.5d world (the thingy super mario 3d world did) and some other types of games.
I'm reminded of a Duckman episode, where he's kidnapped by an insane former TV critic and tells him his life is a TV show and a detriment to society, showing him the opening intro and various moments from episodes, but Duckman doesn't believe him. And at the end of the episode they take a jab at the nature of clip shows.
I would never have known about this show if I hadn't stumbled across your first video on them Like, I hadnt watched you in a while so the algorithm stopped showing me your uploads even though I have the bell rung, but at random it put this one on my recommended list and I tried it and ended up watching the whole show AND getting back into your videos Ots so strange to think about how easily that could have just not happened...
Much appreciation to everyone. Truth is, this show was lovingly developed, put into production and encouraged in its ambition for a very long time. Part of that encouragement did indeed include early talks with potential marketing partners. But while its always true that “things can change,” it is even more so when a corporation changes core leadership so often, during new and rapid changes to how media gets consumed, and ultimately in the face of a global pandemic. We finished our initial order but lost so many of the show’s strong foundational supports (and those who championed it at the corporate level,) to time, circumstance and competing platforms. In short the baby was born to foster parents who put it in a basket and sent it down the best streaming platform that would take it off their hands. Many factors led to us ultimately requiring a clip show, but we made it a personal mission to not only defy as many clip show tropes as possible but also apply the same attempt at unique concepts, character development and story as we’d give any other show. Hardly lazy, it required painstaking and complex edits of hundreds of clips that HAD NOT EVEN BEEN ANIMATED YET. lol. It pains and confuses us to see the lack of investment in our show’s potential. Most modern creators have zero say in these matters and maybe earn a decimal point of profit if at all. But we want to see it grow, reach fans and have those who invested in it see a profit. I dont know why the 2019 regime saw no potential in us or if they saw us at all to make the judgement, quite frankly. But as much as that infutiates us we are also professionals and know corporate machinations are complex and their motives/logic can go way beyond what creators and audiences would assume. Nickelodeon is not a person, it is not a committee and it is not a philosophy. Like any other brand it is a corporate property. It is a house owned by landlords and over time new ownership sets up shop. Amazingly good people can always be found, as hopefully can good product. And those of us who’ve been in the building are grateful for our opportunities and proud of out work. The main rewards are connecting with fellow artists, having (for a time,) the support to test ideas, and if very lucky, the joy of connecting with an audience. The rest, as Johnen Vasquez once remarked, can be as random as the weather. You get months of sun until eventually, for reasons beyond us, it suddenly rains or u walk into work straight into a devestating hurricane. When that happens you find a new patch of sun. In the meantime, what nourishes GT and IT are the light and water of the fans who can nurture us through any storm and over time, I guarantee the buds of new life will always be there. We’ve still got roots.

I know this is late, but keep in mind "Big Mouth" got 5 seasons and a spin off and I still won't see a 3rd season of Glitch Techs or possibly another season of Inside Job. ;-; And I would buy a Miko plush or figure hands down
I was actually hoping in this episode that it would Parody Danganronpa, except more kid friendly. Like the bunny tries to get them to turn on eachother while forcing them into wacky mini games. That was the episode I wanted to see.
I see this as the truth of this question. a few years ago hinobi started project bolypios were they started to create two super glitch life forms subject alpha and subject beta. subject alpha is what they are calling bolypios now and was their main test subject while subject beta was the fail safe made to stop subject alpha if it got out of control. However bolypios became too strong for the fail safe and broke out of the facility. After that subject beta was coded with a growth program and given the name miko. after a few years miko began to become a very skilled gamer and the events of the show start taking place. (Future story) a few days after the events of bit prime miko is on a solo patrol due to five catching a cold and spots bolypios in an ally and pursues him after fallowing him into a abandoned warehouse at the edge of town bolypios introduces himself to Miko and they have a conversation that ends in him showing miko that she is part glitch which transforms her into a being of plixel dust with glowing eyes. after that bolypios shows a huge army that he has been forming for a long time and plans to use a modified colossasurus to destroy every glitch techs base in the country. sorry if this was long but I’ve thought long and hard about this and I think this is possible
wait.. didn't one of the creators say on twitter that miko isn't a glitch? a while back? the reason she can't reset, as far as I understood, is because she looked away when the first reset she had made its flash, which is how it works (sorta like that entire men in black stuff), and once it glitched and nobody noticed, it just didn't get fixed (it also makes sense if you watch closely during the first episode of the first season!) Besides that, I still don't like the idea of miko being a glitch, because it makes her inherently different from the rest of our cast, making her more of a "main character" than anyone else, which, considering the fact that the series introduced both her and five as our two main characters, makes me kinda upset if she becomes more of a main focus than him (and, really, before the second season dropped, I was kinda upset with the series for having only one ep focus on five and several that are all about miko and her story, when she was meant to share the spotlight with five)
I don’t think Miko not being able to reset isn't anything that bizarre Remember, the first time she got hit she was thrown to wall and got knocked out cold, so the process didn’t work cuz it works on awake people only So when it failed the first time, her brain became immune, so every other time just keeps failing cuz her brain sorta adapted

I can't describe how much I need more of this show. The references, the characters and the bigger plots that need way more attention. I would be pissed if this show was shoved under the rug. It's so fun and I haven't enjoyed a cartoon like this since invader zim and avatar the last airbender. I just wish there was more overarching plot and more to watch. Though I love that it's got longer episodes. It may have short seasons but the episodes are in the 30 minute format. Even then they don't feel long enough lol

I personally think she’s a genetic experiment made by Hinobi R&D, that’s a human/glitch hybrid. And her mother Mayumi could be a Hinobi scientist!
Oh! That’s a really interesting theory. I was going to bring up how that wouldn’t make sense seeing that she didn’t seem to recall anything relating to what Mitch and Phil were talking about prior to her and Miko’s dad having their memories wiped. However, if the ending of season 2 episode 10 is any indication, if Miko’s mom was a former Hinobi employee/ executive, it’s more than likely that her memory was erased because she knew too much about something rather important.
It’s because of this as to why I’m looking forward to more seasons from this show.

This episode did a lot of things that many cartoons have failed at. Made a pretty well done clip show episode, made a fart joke funny, and even made YTPs relevant again.
Another thing about Glitch Techs for me, I personally think that Phil is the 2nd best boss character in animation history. Right behind Benson from regular show.
They really should have put Glitch Techs on Regular tv. Netflix is more niche so it's harder to find stuff. If it came on the main network it would probably get more attention. Oh well, at least they got to make it.
Maybe Nick can still show it if they can like how Comedy Central shows Bojack Horseman!

Personally I think Netflix has all of the best cartoons. I like the Animaniacs reboot but it's not as good

Hoooooold up! Is it just me but when Mitch was giving his argument about Miko being the glitch, he said that she was rebellious and amazing at gaming. MITCH, YOU LITTERALLY TOLD US WHY SHE IS AMAZING! Do you like her?!
I love how there is such an easy explanation for the camera angles that the gauntlets record: skinless, phase-able plixels that record them! The whole series is like a whole setup of BITT making a montage of the recordings! I also think that; for some of the angles that show the gauntlet view; is a recording from their glasses
It also makes you realize how sketchy Hinobi is... they have zero privacy, as shown by the simple fact that many of those clips were from their personal lives when not wearing their glitch gauntlets.
Love the animation and designs of this show it's so smooth and colorful. I actually enjoyed this episode, although it feels a little early to do a clipshow they clearly had a lot of fun with this scenario.

Tbh, my first reaction on looking at the poster was the same. One can't really know how well the characters are written by just looking at the poster. When I saw it first, my reaction was "Huh, looks like a generic action/adventure with a heterosexual male and female lead which are definetely gonna make out at the end and oh there's some shitty backround charcters"(I was soo wrong)
Then I accidently gave the first episode a watch due to Netflix's autoplay ...best accident of my life. I love how the show incorporates diversity, actually relevant video game references, well-flushed out characters and refreshingly breaking many annoying tropes.
Loved it and now I'm forcing my brother to watch this show

One of the things I was surprised to see in this show is the fact that they kind of turned ADHD into a super power of sorts. I don't remember where I read it, but Miko can't be reset because she has ADHD, so if that's true, I would also be immune to resetting. It's kind of cool to know my ADHD would be a shield of sorts in this situation.
I really and truly do love this show even if this episode didn't sit with me very well. Thanks so much for talking about it and helping me and others find a better perspective on it!

Honestly i think a really cool idea for a glitch techs videogame or just any game in general would be having multiple different styles of game within the game, like having a shooter world, then a plataformer world, shitty mobile game full of microtransactions and ads world, 2.5d world (the thingy super mario 3d world did) and some other types of games.
I'm reminded of a Duckman episode, where he's kidnapped by an insane former TV critic and tells him his life is a TV show and a detriment to society, showing him the opening intro and various moments from episodes, but Duckman doesn't believe him. And at the end of the episode they take a jab at the nature of clip shows.

I just started watching Glitch Techs and season 2 episode 6 had me dying of laughter because half the episode was like a ytp.

Much appreciation to everyone. Truth is, this show was lovingly developed, put into production and encouraged in its ambition for a very long time. Part of that encouragement did indeed include early talks with potential marketing partners. But while its always true that “things can change,” it is even more so when a corporation changes core leadership so often, during new and rapid changes to how media gets consumed, and ultimately in the face of a global pandemic. We finished our initial order but lost so many of the show’s strong foundational supports (and those who championed it at the corporate level,) to time, circumstance and competing platforms. In short the baby was born to foster parents who put it in a basket and sent it down the best streaming platform that would take it off their hands. Many factors led to us ultimately requiring a clip show, but we made it a personal mission to not only defy as many clip show tropes as possible but also apply the same attempt at unique concepts, character development and story as we’d give any other show. Hardly lazy, it required painstaking and complex edits of hundreds of clips that HAD NOT EVEN BEEN ANIMATED YET. lol. It pains and confuses us to see the lack of investment in our show’s potential. Most modern creators have zero say in these matters and maybe earn a decimal point of profit if at all. But we want to see it grow, reach fans and have those who invested in it see a profit. I dont know why the 2019 regime saw no potential in us or if they saw us at all to make the judgement, quite frankly. But as much as that infutiates us we are also professionals and know corporate machinations are complex and their motives/logic can go way beyond what creators and audiences would assume. Nickelodeon is not a person, it is not a committee and it is not a philosophy. Like any other brand it is a corporate property. It is a house owned by landlords and over time new ownership sets up shop. Amazingly good people can always be found, as hopefully can good product. And those of us who’ve been in the building are grateful for our opportunities and proud of out work. The main rewards are connecting with fellow artists, having (for a time,) the support to test ideas, and if very lucky, the joy of connecting with an audience. The rest, as Johnen Vasquez once remarked, can be as random as the weather. You get months of sun until eventually, for reasons beyond us, it suddenly rains or u walk into work straight into a devestating hurricane. When that happens you find a new patch of sun. In the meantime, what nourishes GT and IT are the light and water of the fans who can nurture us through any storm and over time, I guarantee the buds of new life will always be there. We’ve still got roots.

I know this is late, but keep in mind "Big Mouth" got 5 seasons and a spin off and I still won't see a 3rd season of Glitch Techs or possibly another season of Inside Job. ;-; And I would buy a Miko plush or figure hands down

I was actually hoping in this episode that it would Parody Danganronpa, except more kid friendly. Like the bunny tries to get them to turn on eachother while forcing them into wacky mini games. That was the episode I wanted to see.

I see this as the truth of this question. a few years ago hinobi started project bolypios were they started to create two super glitch life forms subject alpha and subject beta. subject alpha is what they are calling bolypios now and was their main test subject while subject beta was the fail safe made to stop subject alpha if it got out of control. However bolypios became too strong for the fail safe and broke out of the facility. After that subject beta was coded with a growth program and given the name miko. after a few years miko began to become a very skilled gamer and the events of the show start taking place. (Future story) a few days after the events of bit prime miko is on a solo patrol due to five catching a cold and spots bolypios in an ally and pursues him after fallowing him into a abandoned warehouse at the edge of town bolypios introduces himself to Miko and they have a conversation that ends in him showing miko that she is part glitch which transforms her into a being of plixel dust with glowing eyes. after that bolypios shows a huge army that he has been forming for a long time and plans to use a modified colossasurus to destroy every glitch techs base in the country. sorry if this was long but I’ve thought long and hard about this and I think this is possible

I just started watching Glitch Techs and I really want more people to support it. It has real potential
wait.. didn't one of the creators say on twitter that miko isn't a glitch? a while back?
the reason she can't reset, as far as I understood, is because she looked away when the first reset she had made its flash, which is how it works (sorta like that entire men in black stuff), and once it glitched and nobody noticed, it just didn't get fixed (it also makes sense if you watch closely during the first episode of the first season!)
Besides that, I still don't like the idea of miko being a glitch, because it makes her inherently different from the rest of our cast, making her more of a "main character" than anyone else, which, considering the fact that the series introduced both her and five as our two main characters, makes me kinda upset if she becomes more of a main focus than him (and, really, before the second season dropped, I was kinda upset with the series for having only one ep focus on five and several that are all about miko and her story, when she was meant to share the spotlight with five)

The gauntlets use an AR technology to basically map out their surroundings and take a full video of each scene from every angle
I don’t think Miko not being able to reset isn't anything that bizarre
Remember, the first time she got hit she was thrown to wall and got knocked out cold, so the process didn’t work cuz it works on awake people only
So when it failed the first time, her brain became immune, so every other time just keeps failing cuz her brain sorta adapted
