- Jax is the only circus member who isn't seen grabbing Pomni's hand. It's not really surprising considering his actions towards her in this episode, so it's no wonder why Pomni wouldn't think he has her back.
- It's hard to make out due to his lack of arms, but Kinger is among those grabbing Pomni's hand too, as you can vaguely see his white glove. I like that in spite of his ineptness, Pomni still believes he has her best interest in mind, especially considering he's made two (albeit failed) attempts to rescue her during the chase scene.
- Although Ragatha, Gangle, Kinger, and Zooble ALL grab onto Pomni's hand, It's Ragatha's hand who Pomni grabs onto. I think it's fitting because Ragatha has been extremely supportive of Pomni ever since she's arrived. Doing her best to make her feel welcome, checking up on her in the morning to see if she's okay, and expressing concern when she's put in danger. By the end of this episode, I think Pomni realizes she's taken Ragatha's kindness for granted, so I'm glad we have some implication that Pomni trusts her the most.
Damn this was actually a really good analysis and an amazing detail in the show

I hate how Gummigoo just perished so quickly, but at least it was quick and he didn’t know what was coming for him! You know it’s good writing when the show isn’t consistently relying on shock horror as humor. You can tell some of the lines are foreshadowing for what’s to come, such as Ragatha saying Caine does like to reuse NPCs. This won’t be the last time we’ll be seeing him, but hopefully he’ll be okay next time.
Comedy, but also drama, and a sense of adventure, I'm sure looking forward to more episodes.
I'm definitely enjoying the existential horror being ever present.

24:08 I think that is the most genuine smile that Pomni has ever given in this show. Before then her smiles were just out of being stress or nervous about the crazy stuff that is happening around her. However, at this moment at a place where she used to believe that she was alone in this madness comes to realize that despite everything that's happened she realizes that these people genuinely care for each other and honor those they have lost. She finally knows now that they do care for her and won't leave her behind to be abstracted. Because when you're in a place that feels like a prison there is always people who share your struggles and can support you. Pomni now can ease up knowing she is not alone on her journey.

20:54 I don’t think most people understood this but he was disappointed and mad because the adventure wasn’t distracting enough for him, usually (from experience) if theres something that someone is trying to avoid, they usually distract themselves with something for a long time and cover it up to avoid thinking about it, so if that distraction ends or wasn’t long enough, it can get frustrating and remind you of your problems all over again. I may be wrong but i feel him :(

The way the line was delivered really got to me lol
I just noticed in this scene (19:11) after watching episode 3, Kinger talked like that because he's covering his head with the bucket which made it dark for him. And when he open up the bucket- he became like his usual tipsy-self. Same goes for some scenes in episode 1 too. Great detail! It felt very deep after watching episode 3.
There's something subtle that I feel it's worth noting. In the ending first episode, together with the intense music, it was zooming out form the dinner table, to the whole circus area, to the grounds, then out of the void to the screen it feels like a cry to "GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!".
But then in this ending it zoomed out from the funeral, to the circus area then stops at the tent. Clarifying that Pomni is adjusting to her surroundings and realising the support given by the people she's with.

22:15 I really like the fact Caine has no way to know who is a human and who's an NPC. It leaves the possibility of a shape-shifter to live in the Circus. For example: someone could swap identities with Pomni or something similar and go to the Circus while she gets stuck in the AI world. It could show what happens when nobody is on an adventure in this universe or what is the limit of Caine powers
Way too early to make predictions but it would make sense if jax was an npc
It would be nice if Cain can make another home for NPCs then Gummigo would be fine.

Despite being a fictional character, I can't help but feel too angry towards Caine for what he did at that moment. From then on I developed too much contempt for the character.

From the moment he started realizing he was an npc, I knew he was going to die. If anything, that knowledge only made his death more painful.

One thing I just noticed is that Jax shows he does actually care for a few seconds before shrugging it off when Ragatha mentions Kaufmo's funeral. His mask started to slip a bit, and that's another small detail that's too easy to miss
after watching Episode 3, Kinger comforting Ragatha with the bucket on his head makes so much more sense. he snaps back and once he takes it off he’s right back to forgetting

Fun fact about the tposing characters in the blue grid part: a lot of games, rather than unload and reload objects, devs will literally teleport them to an inaccessible box and disable their AI because it's faster to do that.
As a dev I can confirm, this is what we do. Except I just do it because I'm too lazy to do anything else

22:30 this scene really hit different. At the end of the pilot episode we see her start to smile. This time we see her start to laugh as well. This could be a sign that Pomni is starting to lose her grip on reality.
Then during Kaufmo’s funeral we see her remembering her dream. The difference this time is her friends caught her. Pomni now realises that even though the environment of the Digital Circus is out of her control, her friends are there to help her keep grounded.

Kinger grew on me a lot this episode, the small signs that he remembers important events and genuinely cares about the crew whilst still being a scatterbrain was very charming. Excited to see more!
